drmy91 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 My mom has a room that she puts all gifts she buys throughout the year and on BF. That room is a standard bedroom size and she piles high to ceiling. Does anyone else have a room just for your BF or Christmas gifts?
Pattid. Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I have a large walk in closet I have for gifts only.
Candy Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I store the majority in the attic....but some in my closet....my mom has a room just like that though.....full of toys and gifts.
elena_398 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 The garage! But all the gifts are seperated into black contractor bags. This way I know if I bought too much or not enough for one of the kids. Helps a lot
ebony0421 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I have a small linen closet that I use and the bottom of my closet.
biomajor Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I use my walk in closet in the bedroom and if the presents are too big for that, then they go in my bedroom and I lock the door. When the kids are gone, then I'll have a gift room :-) Until then, we need the space.
erh12275 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 My mom has a room that she puts all kids she buys throughout the year and on BF.Sorry just have to I had to read this one twice...lol.
erh12275 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Nope no room but have a walk-in closet where I will keep their gifts.
alimfp Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I'll probably store this years gifts in my DD's closet (she's one, she doesn't go in her closet.. yet, lol). Last year in our old house, it was the closet in our bedroom. :)
wf2afcop Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 My attic is over my garage with pull down stairs, my DH had a FIT when he went up there to get all the gifts down so I could start wrapping. My garage has now turned into gift wrap central....FYI, washing machines/dryers are just the right height to gift wrap and you can spread out!! =) The kids know the garage is OFF LIMITS!
tishaclayton Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I store all gifts at my mom's apartment..cept for her gifts..
cherry33778 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I'm planning on buying a shed to keep all my nephews presents:)
best4less Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I'll probably put everything in my bedroom closet. It won't be there too long anyway because I know I will want to start wrapping it right away :)
peachysquirt21 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Nope, apartment is too small for that. I just put the gifts wherever theres room. LOL
ryka Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 My apartment is to small to have a room so I store all my presents in my moms house.
starshine Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I just movesd into a bigger place so I do have a room now to stash everything in. It's nicer then the closet I used to have.
JenT1292 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I put everything in the spare bedroom and just start stacking.
copados1993 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 my walk in closet becomes my storage place:cookiemon
mrsbmb Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I wrap it and put it in trash bags tied so tight you have to rip them to open them. then i stuff them in closets all over the apartment. my favorite is right in the kids closets...they never know..i will get them out of there during the day shortly before christmas when the kids are out and hide them in my room. and call my room off limits for that time frame. kathy
elena_398 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I store in the garage, but my sister stores at my parents. She still lives by them but its not an option for me. Im a tad too far.
Kandy Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I have a small hall closet that I use the bottom off and the top of the closet to stash gifts. I also use the top of the coat closet in the Living Room.
knittingarrows Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Yep - have a spare room for extras - off season clothes and gift closet are stored in this room.
amyj0_99 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 My trunk is full and let me tell you my trunk is HUGE. I have a 88 lincoln town car and you could probably fit quite a few dead bodies in there LOL.... no really, one year my stepson shot his first deer, and by no means was it small, and I had to take it to the meat processor in my trunk...... and it fit just fine LOL
TBA Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I usually store christmas gifts in plastic bins either in the bedroom or in the kitchen(we have a big kitchen)
Gporter34 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I have NO safe place where my kids don't find them. They are the BEST at sniffing out presents.lol So, I wrap them as I get them and put numbers on them. I keep a list at mom's house as to which number goes to whom and put tags on them when I put them under the tree.
motoXmom Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I usually double bag everything in black trash bags and put them up in the attic. Then I have to make sure I have a list of what I got for whom and then hide that too.
Steakgoddess Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 All the presents I have bought for Christmas this year are shoved in my bedrooom. It isn't fun. THings are in boxes and bags. I need to start wrapping so i don;t have to keep the door shut and everyone out.
eve Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 i want a room,lol Anywhere i can fit them, a closet, under bed,under livingroom table,lol
tinydancer34 Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 In the basement. I stick the gifts in a large, old box that our big TV came in. We have lots of old appliance boxes, etc. that we use to store all of our junk in, so no one thinks of looking in those. Whatever box I have the gifts in, I make sure I stick other boxes on top of it, or in front of it, just so the box looks like it's been in that position for awhile.
