AWW...I'm jealous..lol....I was in our Wal-Mart yesterday...and they have very little left in any holiday department! My twins have a Feb birthday so I was able to get a few girls perfume sets..but in general....very little worth mcuh left....maybe next year!

I really wanted to go to Wal-Mart today....but I just couldnt bring myself to fight the crowds....instead I stayed home and did the lazy thing...played video games with my girls all day and we MIGHT go shopping tomorrow...or Wed....right now...I cannot fathom the crowds....I dont think even a great discount is worth it yet!...A couple more days and it may be..lol

I'll have to check our Value City too......I got a couple really nice things for my 7 year old a couple days before Christmas that were already knocked down to 25-30% off.....my twins turn 12 in Feb so maybe I can get some great deals now!

NO..because we have a few different mailmen/women. I may leave a card...but probably not.

I cant wait til the day after Christmas...I love it. I buy my perfume for the year then...usually get great deals and it last me all year.

Our elem. school has a 'Christmas store' they have a few hundred dollar items and sell to the kids for 25-50 cent over the price as a fund raiser...so every year I get something very cute from the little ones! Plus they normally do the same for each other.

I'll have to double check later for the 4.84 coffepot..that and the 14.88 wireless keyboard/mouse combo were the only things I didnt get...simply because after waiting inline for 2 hrs I was tired..lol.

Normally our tree goes up the day after Thanksgiving and the outside decorations that weekend...BUT...everyone has been SICK! SO.....grumpy dh pulled it all out the attic yesterday and the girls, dh and I will be doing some serious decorating for the next 3 days.

Only one's I have watched so far is the Hallmark and CBS movies.......as soon as Rudolph is on....and the original Grinch...movie watching has arrived..lol. I did dig out all the vhs/dvd CHristmas movies for the girls .....they will be watching them all soon. I LOVE the 'Touched by an Angel' CHristmas theme movies..I have them all and they have become my favorite to watch every year.

When I saw the media coverage on CNN and other media stations about the fights and people getting stepped on....all I could think was....wow..they couldnt have asked for anything better! No one died...yet just enough pain to be profitable!...I know that sounds mean...but the reality is.....they cannot be so obtuse as to NOT know what will happen...it's not like they dont do this EVERY year. I want to know HOW a mere CUSTOMER can be smart enough to figure out what needs to be done and those with management degrees getting paychecks cant figure this out.....makes ya wonder...huh.

I have had a couple years of theme trees...always dreamed of an all blue and white tree.....but after getting my wish..it just didnt seem 'pretty' anymore...I missed the ornaments I inherited when my parents divorced so I usually have a mixed tree with new beautiful ornaments and about 20% of those from my childhood mixed in...my five girls now know the stories of those ornaments...(some are looking like they are well over 35 yrs old too!) and they know the stories of all the newer ornaments ...all of which they will one day either fight over or pay the other to take..lol

Technically I am done...the reality is..not until Santa pops down the chimney! Then........I am sure I will have enough mad money to catch the AFTER holiday sales which is REALLY my favorite!! (I usually tell dh just give me lots and lots of moolah so I can go shopping for a week after Christmas..lol)

Walmart and other retailers really need to stop playing cat and mouse games...if I get up at 1:30 a.m. to spend my hard earned money at your store after waiting hours..the least they can do is make clear signs and regular announcements stating everything needed to know to be in the right place for such short and sought after sales. I was lucky enough to get one....and our store did a great job of handing out tickets and making sure the line was orderly and no one stepped in....BUT...I saw on BF someone posted their walmart put the name of each item on the pallets...that is a great idea along with having at least one worker per ISLE to help with confusion and such. It seems none really want the madness to stop..evenif it means a few get hurt.....the media explosion and free advertisement is worth the hassle for them.
