Sarasuzymama Posted July 28, 2010 Share Posted July 28, 2010 I only made it to one store (the one at Shawnee Mission Pkwy/Metcalf for any Kansas City people) and they were marking everything while I was there...almost ALL was 75% off. The only thing I had them scan that wasn't was a huge Lego set that was 50% off. I got a TON...will post a photo later. I could have bought twice what I got, but I already have a nice stash from the January clearance, so I only got things that I really knew my kids (and their friends) would LOVE. And also, I must say, the markdown team was AWESOME...they were very friendly and scanned everythign I asked them to cheerfully....they were celebrating the good deals along with me! (And I'm sure DYING to go on their breaks!) BTW...this store historically marks down their toys on Wednesdays, so it wasn't a surprise that they were marking down. I don't know what time because when I got there at 11:15 it was all marked and the markdown team was no where to be found. Lots of booster seats, some highchairs, pack-n-plays, and one stroller. Toys had been consolidated, but not marked down any further at Blue Angel or Cordova here. If anyone in my area has been to 9 mile or Pace please post b/c those are kind of out of my way, but I'll make the trip to peruse 75% toys. I didn't notice anything else marked down in other departments, but it did seem like they had done a lot of consolidating the clearance to endcaps or part of one aisle instead of spread out everywhere. It is not known to markdown earlier as I think Thurs is the earliest day I have seen. I don't know which one to hit first tomorrow. One of them doesn't have a free parking lot. I did find a baby comforter for $5.24 (75% off) - it was only marked 30% off. Also a lone dust ruffle for the crib for $4.74 (75% off) - I didn't buy this one. There were tons of toys marked to 75% off, but they weren't in their own aisle like January, so it seems its still a secret. Interestingly enough on the Ben10 - i got 2 of them, both were marked 7.48, but one scanned 3.74! I'll have to check back tomorrow... although from what I see on the clearance racks that they have right now I don't really see much there that I haven't already picked up at the other Targets I visited... Batman cars, Ironman cars, fancy nancy telephone, ironman walkie talkies, remote control tonka car (flips over and can keep going), strawberry shortcake (squee! i loved her growing up!), king julian stuffed animal, wow - i can't remember it all! I have to go look through the bags again and get them in totes to hide from the boys. I really wanted the battle force 5 mobicon and the devastator play set, but they were marked at 50%.
