I did some calculations this morning and realized I have spent about $800 for Christmas... and we are only a family of four with only 2 nephews and 2 nieces to give to:eyepoppin:eyepoppin:eyepoppin

No more shopping for me!!!

I spent $1500.00 on black Friday alone. Spent about $400.00 yesterday (Cyber Monday). I had bought my DD15 tons of clothes from Aeropastale before all of that. Bought DD6 an American girl doll before that and some games and such for the other kids. So I would say about $2400.00 so far, but I am not done yet. I still need to get a laptop for my mom. I would like to get DS a netbook. And I need to get DS9 somethings still. The only thing I have bought him so far is a TV.

I have four kids. Then we have 2 GODdaughters, 8 nephews and 3 neices that we buy for too.

I'm @ $1260.00 but still have to get another TV and a computer. Also possibly an iPOD touch and a shuffle. Haven't gotten toys for any of DH's nieces/nephews or mine. They usually each get a toy and an outfit. I have gotten all of their outfits but still have to find toys. We also haven't done any clothes shopping for our 3 kids. We don't even include what we spend on each other...

The damage so far is $3500.

Bought presents for myself, mom, sister, sister-in-law, DD10, secret santa, and 2 Salvation Army "Angels." Still need to buy for DD's 7 teachers and coaches, monetary gift for mailman, and stocking stuffers for DD and mom. I really thought I'd spend less than last year, but I thought wrong. I have no self control. LOL

I've spent a little over 2 grand so far but am nearly done, except for the $12,000 we are spending on DH's Rhino. In addition to DH and DD, I buy for 4 nephews and 2 nieces, my parents, his parents, my sisters and brother and their spouses, my grandma, Secret Santa, 4 good friends, and also the 2 little boys we are providing Christmas for this year. Instead of taking names off the angel tree this year we are buying for 2 kids we know personally who otherwise wouldn't have much of a Christmas. I've already spent over $200 a piece just on those 2 kids.

A friend was telling me last night they have set a budget of $150 per child, but they have 6 kids. I was telling DH we should try something like that next year and his reply was "why"? :eyepoppin Men!!! LOL

Oh, and I don't use the credit card unless its a big purchase to get the rewards points but then come home and pay it off.

About $1600 total for kids, DH, in-laws, my family....

We've been smart about what we've purchased. And it's been fun this year b/c we've had the money to spend more than past years. We didn't go too overboard for the kids, and were able to get nice gifts for our family members.

Now to ship it all out. ;)

spent another $300 today on my son. Went to Kohls 2 day sale. He wanted some College stuff and more Nike shirts/hoodies. Funny as I made my mom meet me there- she gets a 20% senior discount on Tuesdays. LOL. She is used to it now.

I didnt now that Kohls has a senior discount. Is that every tuesday?

I have probably spent between $600 and that is including getting an Ipod touch, and Ipod nano and a DSI. I also got some awesome deals at Aeropostale, Hollister and American Eagle. After adding up the actual cost of things it was about $1,000 but I got tons of clearance stuff and the big priced items I cashed in my My Points for gift cards to Amazon and made out like a bandit. OOP I probably spent 300 of the $600 the rest were gift cards.:D:D

Plus I can say I AM FINALLY DONE Yippeeeeeeeee

I am about 3k so far, but we planned on it being one of those years. New grandbaby on the way so my DD NEEDED a video camera! She is having a baby so she needs a cute new outfit to wear home from the hospital with comfy Uggs! Her DH has gotten accepted into a couple medical schools, so my boys wanted to give him an xbox 360 for when they move. The lil boys are so busy on computers for school, they each get new ones. I will finish up for DS19 this weekend...and everything was paid by CASH!

ooooo...hard to say, I shop through out the year and try to spread it out. Maybe $800 ish. But that includes a $230 round trip ticket for a disabled "foster son/friend" to come visit for the holidays (Agency ran out of $$ and he almost couldn't come.) and $150 for a reference book (a very special gift this year!) Minus those two...leaves about $400 which is just about what I wanted to spend.

Just spent another $100+. I felt bad that one of my "angels" had a huge pile, while the other (older one) had a significantly smaller pile so I ordered a few more things for her, and also a few more things for DD that I couldn't resist. I need to hurry up and buy those stocking stuffers and teacher gifts so I can pay off the credit cards and be done with shopping altogether. (always an all cash Christmas, but I use cc's to keep track of my purchases and just pay off the balance once shopping is complete).

Wow... around here, my spending seems a bit excessive to most people, but compared to most of you here, I'm a cheapskate!

I think we are at about $850 for DH, myself, 4 kids, 1 niece, MIL, mom, dad, step-mom, step-dad, sister, BIL, and 2 sets of grandparents, and I am pretty much done.

I do need to pick up a few more little things, but we don't exchange expensive gifts with adults (well, my dad and step-mom give us expensive things, but understand that we can't afford to) and most of the gifts for the kids were bought on clearance or great sales, so I would say out of the $500 we spent on our kids and niece, it is at least $1500 retail... probably more (I got TONS of stuff at Target's 75% off sale and a bunch of stuff from WM that was almost 90% off!)

My mom's side of the family we do a $5 per person limit gag gift exchange, my dad's side of the family asked for picture gifts, so I bought stuff on sale at Shutterfly for them. MIL asked for DH to install a lighting unit for her house. Didn't cost much money... like $40, it will mostly be time installing it.

DH spent $100 on me and I spent $150 on him. We had set a $100 limit on each of us, but I couldn't help it... I found a few good deals on things he would really like and couldn't pass it up.

DH only worked 7 days in November and will only work 7 days in December, so things are kind of tight for us. The upside to this is that DH is able to spend a lot of time with the family this holiday season! Plus, its the first Christmas where we are paying cash for everything! I haven't used a credit card once! Oh, wait! I lied. I used my Discover card 1 time to get the $10 off $50 discount on Amazon, but I already paid it back!

ok so since I was reading what everyone else had spend I did a total on what I have spent and so far im at 1500. I dont know if thats good or bad I have all my kids done except for stocking stuffers and my dh is done as well. But as for the rest of the people I thought that I was way further than what I am :( I still have a lot of people to buy for but I am hoping to have them done by the weekend. Everything I have bought has been with cash! :)
