  1. I'm waiting for more ads - but with stores spreading out their sales, I've already managed to score a few things I was hoping for. Biggest thing I'm looking for now is fuzzy blankets. But thats not to say I won't jump on other good deals.
  2. So, randomly opend Gotta Deal today.... lucky me, saw this thread and was able to order dd's much requested Beats headphones ... for a $70 discount! Would have totally missed this offer if I hadn't seen it here!
  3. 100% depends on what deals are available. I don't mind dark and cold (not too bad in my area). But unless theres something specific that I have a good chance of getting, I'll probably stay home. Hard to beat shopping from the comfort of your recliner with lounging in your PJs
  4. I have Lego maniacs in my family - sure wish some of the big collector type kits would go on a significant sale. Aside from that, I'm looking for fuzzy blankets, micro-fleece sheets, and probably some bakeware.
  5. This is such a cool offering. I've managed to fail at posting monthly - but I love this site!! Been following for many years and even though things have changed significantly for the way BF operates, I still find useful info every year.
  6. Love prizes... gonna try to keep up this year!
  7. I'm underwhelmed... not impressed with the advertising in general and what is on sale when (or how -online or live) Its good in a way I guess because I won't be making nearly as many impulse purchases. For that matter, I'm going to be spending much less overall anyway because the deals just are not as good.
  8. Biscochitos Servings ~18 cookies Ingredients · 3 cups all purpose flour · 1 1/2 tsp baking powder · 1/2 tsp salt · 1/2 lb lard (yes, LARD ..... you can use shortening but it won't be the same) · 3/4 cup sugar (divided) · 1 tsp anise seeds · 1 egg · 2 tbsp brandy · 1 tsp ground cinnamon Instructions 1.Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. 2.Add lard to a to a bowl and beat with an electric or stand mixer. Slowly add in 1/2 cup of sugar and continue beating for 8 – 10 minutes, until mixture is fluffy and light. 3.Add in anise seed, egg, and brandy. Mix until blended. 4.Slowly add in flour mixture, beating well after each addition, and scraping the sides of the bowl as you go. Continue until mixture is fully incorporated and dough is similar to pie-crust. 5.Transfer dough to parchment paper and refrigerate 20 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees. (don't skip this, the dough needs to be cold) 6.After dough rests, roll dough out on a floured surface until it’s 1/4″ thick. 7.Use a cookie cutter or the lid of a mason jar to cut shapes out, transferring them to an ungreased cookie sheet. 8.Bake cookies in preheated oven for 10 – 12 minutes, until they start to lightly brown. 9.While the cookies are baking, mix together remaining 1/4 cup sugar with ground cinnamon. 10.Once cookies are baked, dip top of the cookie in the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Store cookies in air-tight container for up to 2 weeks
  9. Sooooo many things. Can't say I have any specific item that I was hoping Amazon had - but I did find some LED lights I think my kiddo will like.
  10. Good to know! I'm gonna check this out at our local Sams tomorrow!
  11. I vote 1. True Navy Heather 2. Charcoal Black Heather
  12. Yay ... another chance. Got sidetracked by work overload this past year
  13. I have had zero enthusiasm to do anything fun for St. Patricks day.... blah. Usually my weekends would be full of dashing here and there to either run or restock girl scout cookie booths. lol Not this time.... just hiding from bad weather inside and hoping for some signs of spring to come along soon.
  14. Its Girl Scout Cookie season in my neck of the woods. Still dealing with pandemic restrictions though ..... my troop usually sells in excess of 20,000 boxes - (big troop = lots of cookies) but I'm guessing this year won't even be close. Booths are not happening, so its up to indivdual girls. on that note.... if you need some cookies, I know where you can order to have them shipped directly to you
