It's thrilling, isn't it? My son just bought his first house. Their realtor knew they wanted to get a cat when they were no longer in an apartment so part of her housewarming gift to them was an adorable kitten!

Welcome to July...where the weather forecast is for temps in the 90s for the foreseeable future.

I can't believe the year is half over and we haven't really been able to do anything. Yes, things are open, but limited. We wanted to go somewhere this weekend since hubby has an extra day off but with other states closing again, it's a risk we're not willing to take. I really want to go somewhere but don't want to chance everything being closed when we get there. I know I shouldn't say it, but what is July going to bring us?

She's lucky she's able to return them. In at least one of the stores around us the dressing rooms are closed and they're not currently taking returns. Makes buying clothes risky and difficult so I haven't bought any from there.

34 years ago today for me!

So something positive is coming out of being stuck at home. There's a Facebook group for my area (many other areas too) that you may have heard about. It is called Wine Fairies. Once you join the group you post your address and list what kinds of wines (or any drinks) you like along with snacks. Then anyone can drop things off at your house...ding dong ditch style! It's really fun! I've been "wined" three times so far and am planning on doing some shopping tomorrow so I can surprise some other lovely ladies.

Dear May, Please be nicer to us than the previous few months were. Love, Everyone

We had close to 70 degrees last week & had windows open. Yesterday we had a few flurries. Depending on which news channel/website you look at, we could see anywhere from less than an inch to 4 inches tomorrow. Our trees and flowers are coming to life and are going to wonder what's going on.

I work in our school's cafeteria and we've been putting together breakfast and lunch bags for the students. Parents have to sign their children up by Friday mornings and pick up is Monday. Two weeks ago we had families sign up for 125 students. BUT, 20 or so didn't pick them up! We worry about the kids at this time, wonder whether they're eating or what they're eating, then we have this. It just makes me sad.

Can you imagine if this virus hit in November? What would they do about Black Friday?! I know a lot of people have been doing a lot of shopping online on that day anyway, but can you imagine trying to get stuff online if everyone was doing their shopping online that day?

Happy (?) April! Hopefully April is a somewhat more normal month than March was, but that is doubtful since Governor DeWine issued the no contact order to continue through May 1 for Ohio. We can only hope that will slow this crazy virus down. At least we're able to go outside, as long as the weather starts to cooperate. On the bright side, with the rain we had this past weekend, the grass is sure turning a pretty, spring shade of green.

Oh my gosh, I know exactly where you're coming from! Although we've never flipped a house, we have redone ours. You start out thinking it's just going to be a simple thing, then this turns to that and then that has issues too. Nothing ever goes as planned! Good luck!

Friday the 13th was the last day of school for 3 weeks for our school district, not to return till at least April 6. However, from what I hear, the governor of Ohio is considering closing all schools for the remainder of the school year. So much I could say on the subject of the coronavirus, but It'd take all day so I'll refrain. Hope everyone is doing well.

Not what I wanted to hear! lol

So I thought January lasted forever, but February just flew by! And with February over, it looks like our weather is finally warming up some. 40s and 50s this week and hopefully it keeps going up. They're calling for rain off and on this week, but I'm fine with rain and not snow.

I'm in NW Ohio and we have our 2nd snow day in a row. School was closed yesterday because of icy roads and today because it snowed on top of the still icy roads. Nice 4 day weekend for me! Sun is shining now so I might go shovel the snow off the ice & hope it starts to melt off the driveway.

We took both of our boys to Disney World for each of their 5th birthdays as well, but it wasn't a surprise like your daughter planned. Sounds like fun! As far as January, I agree with everyone else that it seems to have gone on forever. And this past week seems like it went on for at least a couple months! Longest. Week. Ever.

Happy Birthday!

Happy New Year! I had to write the date a few times already this year and actually remembered to write "20" and not "19"! Hope this is an indication of a good year to come! lol

Thank you so much, Coastiwife, for everything! I truly loved everything you sent, it's just like you know me personally! I hope you and your family had a great Christmas!

Only 3 more days till Christmas, but it sure doesn't seem like it! I have all my shopping done and just a few last gifts to wrap and a house to clean. Good thing I'm off work for the next 2 weeks. Hopefully that will give me time to get things done around the house and then just relax before heading back to work.

Mine was shipped today & tracking number has been sent.

I don't know what to say...I have no words for my Secret Santa other than THANK YOU!!!! It's like you know me personally, you nailed it! I love everything! Of course you went overboard and I feel so spoiled! I got a B&BW set of shower gel, body mist & lotion in the scent "At the Beach" (it smells wonderful!), a hand sanitizer, some nice, soft, cozy socks, an adorable Christmas flamingo magnetic notepad, a Burt's Bees strawberry chapstick, a bag of Dove chocolate and the cutest beach-themed tree ornament. I really can't thank you enough, I truly love everything!
