Sounds like my son! Told me for MONTHS that he wanted a PSP. I went out and bought a PSP game and movie already and had just put the PSP itself on layaway about 2 weeks ago. Now he turned around and said he would rather have a PS2! Tomorrow I have to go take the PSP off layaway to go get the PS2 instead. Gotta love kids, huh? lol As for the Gameboy Advance SP, I doubt we'll see it under $50 again before Christmas (stinks because I am looking for one for my daughter too). The cheapest I have seen it is $59.99 at Gamestop.com but....that is preowned.

No, the Cabbage Patch Newborns that Walmart was selling for $10. There are like over 1000 listings for them on ebay right now.
-
Well, you can also look at it this way- some people didn't want to battle the crowds on BF so they didn't bother going (silly people! lol) so it is worth it to them to just buy it off ebay. An item on ebay can only go as high as a bidder lets it. Doesn't exactly make it better but, it's another way to look at it.

I ordered my stuff late Tuesday night. It shipped on Thursday (Thanksgiving)- I was really surprised about that. Ah, correction- just checked the tracking #. They sent me an email on Thursday saying the order had been shipped but UPS says "UPS has received shipper's billing information electronically. Billing information received does not indicate shipment pickup or drop-off. Please contact the shipper for more details"
-
OMG, that IS nuts! I just typed in "Cabbage Patch Newborn" in the search and it pulled up 1214 of them! They are getting between $15 to $25 for these things too!
-
Done? HA! Not even close yet lol.
-
Well, I planned on spending around $200 or so when I thought I'd actually be able to go out for BF but since I could only shop online this year, I only spent $112. However, $35 of that was in GC's so only $77 out of pocket.

I don't think its too early at this point. There were some people around here that had them up and ON right after Halloween! THAT was too early! lol

In years past, I've always shut the inside and outside lights off when I go to bed. Seeing how I don't go to bed until 2 or 3 in the morning, they are still on for a good chunk of the night. That said, neither my inside or outside lights are even up yet. Try as I might, I just can't seem to get into it this year. The lights, the decorating, the shopping- I'm just kind of numb to it Aiming to at least get the tree up today!

Did Anyone See The Chaos At A Florida Walmart On CNN
best4less replied to Dust N Bones's topic in 2005
Not all the stores allow the employees to buy first (in fact, I didn't think any of them did). My DH works for Walmart, he was there last night into this morning stocking the blitz items. I wanted one of the Gameboys and asked him if he could pick one up AFTER he was off the clock. You are not allowed to purchase anything until you are off the clock. Doing so is grounds for termination! Needless to say, he didn't get off work until 7am and the Gameboys were long gone by then so we didn't get one. Oh well, I'm sure I'll find one somewhere before Christmas :) The only issue DH ran into today concerned the laptops. One of the customers came to the department he was working in looking for the laptop because another employee told him that was where it would be. DH told the guy that no, they were in electronics behind the counter, that he was in fact one of the people who stocked them and the way it was set up at his store was, you had to physically go to the counter and ASK for one. There was someone at the counter who would give it to you. DH walked the guy over to electronics (which at that point was packed with people) and told the guy where he should go then let him know the store had 60 of them in stock. The guy was quite PO'ed (rightfully so) saying "Yeah, there were 60 of them. They are probably all gone now since I was sent to the wrong department to begin with". -
Well, DH went to 3 different Walgreen's (the first one at 7:25am and the sale started at 7am) and couldn't get the 3.4oz Cool Water perfume I wanted- they were sold out! Geez, I thought Walgreen's would have been safe from the BF madness until at least later in the day. They did give him a raincheck but who knows when and if they will get them in again Oh well, guess I am going to drown my sorrows in a Baby Chou Chou purchase from KBToys.com lol

Everything bought online. No big ticket items but this is what I bought so far. Might buy a couple more things, not sure: TRU- Magic Friends singing Dora and WWE 4 pack of wrestler figures (actually got these the other day at BF prices). Best Buy- Shamu's Deep Sea Adventure game for GBA Old Navy- Adorable outfit for my niece :) Ebay- Cologne set for DH And last but not least, DH is going to Walgreens for me on his way home from work this morning to pick up the 3.4oz bottle of Cool Water Frozen perfume and 1.7oz Candies perfume they are having on sale for $10 each :)

I'm awake, haven't slept yet. Been doing some online shopping :)

Good luck!!!
-
Well, here's one that will crack you up- My SIL seems to think she is going to get in line at Best Buy at 4am and still be able to get one of the $150 desktops! I tried to warn her, she wouldn't listen. Oh well, good luck to ya then. Don't say I didn't tell ya so lol.
-
Me too! The 2 things I wanted were at BF prices last night so I ordered them. What's better is I had $35 in Amazon GC's. I only ended up paying $4.04 out of pocket!
-
Who needs sleep anyway? lol
-
Don't worry, you won't come out empty handed. Even if you weren't able to get what it was you originally went for, you'll likely find something else on sale you'll want to buy!
-
Heh, this is almost like New Years....will we be counting down the last few seconds before midnight?
-
Wow, the Save-a-lot over here doesn't even sell electronics. All they have is food and 1 aisle with dollar store type items.
-
You can see some of the ads online right now- Walmart, Big Lots and Target all have their ads online at the moment!
-
I agree

I have an eMachine that I bought from Best Buy in Oct of 2004. I am currently running an anti-virus and firewall in the background (and have been for a few months now) and have had NO problem at all. Mine only has 256MB of RAM.

If you are in Mass, the Kmart Thanksgiving sale was today!! From 7am to 9pm....you still have some time if you really wanted to go :) Not sure what will be left though.

MA has "Blue Laws" which only allow gas stations and convenient stores to be open (or so I heard on the news the other night because some supermarket wanted to stay open too and they wouldn't allow it).
