  1. Can these be loaded on any MP3 player, or just iPods? Thanks for helping the ignorant.

    Positive rap?

I want to preload a couple songs on MP3 players for Christmas for 9 & 10 year olds. They say that they like rap, but I'm a country gal. Does anyone know of popular rap for that age that has a positive - or at least neutral - message? I know, it would be easier to give them an itunes card, but they don't have computer access so I want to load a few songs on before they get the MP3s.
  3. I spent about 500 between Thursday and Friday. It looks like we will spend about $7-800 on gifts for 21 people, including a new digital camera and frame for me. I have been deal shopping all year long.
  4. My girls - 3 and 5 years old - really want a play kitchen. I don't want the bulk or the scattered food and dishes. They can play with grandma's when we visit. They really liked (and still do like) little people sets, dollhouses, dolls and strollers. Instead of the play kitchen they will be getting a playdoh play kitchen, $12.xx at Kmart http://www.amazon.com/Hasbro-22465-Play-Doh-Makin-Kitchen/dp/B0001NE76O and a playdoh icecream shop, $10 at Walmart this morning http://www.amazon.com/Play-Doh-Magic-Swirl-Cream-Shoppe/dp/B00160HTYI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1227912906&sr=1-1
  5. That is so not fair! My grandma has serious trouble pushing a shopping cart, does that mean she can't have a TV? Of course, grandma didn't go shopping today!
  6. This makes me soooo happy that I was able to get our "must-haves" online. I was dreading the thought of a pallet-fight at Walmart. I have been to Walmart early on BF, but never at opening time. Is it really that crazy everywhere? I was kinda shocked to see the door greeter at my walmart today. She was an elderly lady sitting on the seat of her walker smiling, waving, and saying "hope you find some great deals." It is a 24-hour store so I guess there wouldn't be any line or rush at the door, but it seemed crazy to me that they left that seemingly weak lady to man the door. But what do I know?
  7. Where's the people? We got to Shopko at 6:00. out by 6:30 there were tons of people but the lines really moved. Quick stop at Big Lots (Mom's idea, but I did find a $2 All Dogs Go to Heaven Christmas movie, made the kids happy) Then it was off to Walmart. We got there at about 7:00. Everyone must have came and left already. There were TVs, lightsabers, big Barbies, Cabbage Patch babies, BlueRay players, SD cards - everything except the Samsung digital cameras (glad I ordered mine online). I have seen Walmart busier on a normal Saturday. Found a few more people at Menards, but still got everything on my list. DVDs and slippers rang up wrong in my favor and there was a MIR on my lightbulbs, so I ended up spending $6 LESS than I had planned. If I wasn't so tired I would have gone to Kmart too, but I was up late planning then up a couple more times to order things online.
  8. Sears doorbusters are online now! Prices weren't showing as doorbuster price, but when I got to the final screen of checkout it was there. Prices flipped between sale and BF prices throughout the checkout process. I got a washer/dryer set for $599.
  9. I'm cyber-shopping! Ok, maybe it isn't that exciting for you but it is pretty new to me. I planned to get a digital camera and some digital frames from Walmart. Instead I followed some awesome advise and got a Canon A590 for $102 http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=128021&highlight=newegg, 2 7in digital frames with SD cards for $39 each from Walmart.com, and 2 Kodak 7in touch screen frame clearanced at Best Buy (in store) for $47 each. I wouldn't have even been there if I hadn't seen the post about the $3.99 movies. Gettin' great deals!
  10. Sounds like it is all the same to me 12:00 PST = 3:00 EST or 2:00 central or 1:00 mountain
  11. I PM'd them when Walgreen's had them for 4.66 a few weeks ago. At that time my Walmart had 4 on the shelf, and that space was full. Hopefully they get in more for this sale. I got all I wanted, I hope all of you can too.
  12. Not in today's paper or the mail. Oh well, the ad is online and nobody else here PMs other stores so I don't really need it.
  13. This looks good, but does anyone know anything about the Visa card the rebate comes on? Is there an initiation fee or other fees? I am comparing this deal to buying 2GB SD cards for a flat $6 - no refunds or cards to deal with.
  14. I got 2 of the digital frames, yippie! $10 for shipping, but they have the SD cards. One less thing ot fight the crowds for tommorrow!
  15. If I rember right, their cheap DVDs were in a big square box the same size as the pallet they were stitting on. At the store I was at there were 2 of these giant boxes full of mixed titles.
  16. The longest I have ever waited in line was 1 hour. I might try the online thing this year and maybe get a little sleep. Between hosting T-Day and juggling kids, I doubt that I will get anywhere more than 20 minutes before opening. My time is too valuable to spend it waiting in the cold. It's not like they are offering something that you can't get any other time for a few dollars more.

    Price Changes

Do we live in the same city? LOL My prices are the same as yours here in central WI. I saw my local ad and thought that I had just been looking at too many threads lately - I knew those clogs were supposed to be $4! Oh well, the price is right on the big stuff and tax is less here than in many other places.
  18. I got an answer. The lady at the photo counter told me that cameras are returnable, even if they have been opened. As long as the box, receipt, and all of the parts are there you can return it for any reason you wish - even if it is just because it didn't work as well as you had hoped.
  19. There is all kinds of information here http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10727357 Some things that stick out: Light Sensitivity: ISO 100, ISO 800, ISO 400, ISO 200, ISO 80, ISO 1600, ISO auto looks like a descent range Special Effects: Negative, Black & White, Sepia, Neutral, Blue, Green, Red Max Shutter Speed: 1/1500 sec Min Shutter Speed: 8 sec Seriously? My kids will have changed their clothes, fought, made up, and smeared chocolate on their faces in 8 sec! Supported Battery Details: 2 x AA alkaline battery ( included ) ¦ 2 x AA NiMH rechargeable battery ( optional ) I wouldn't count on those included alkalines. Save them for the remote and pick up some rechargeables. Supported Flash Memory: MultiMediaCard, SD Memory Card, SDHC Memory Card, MultiMediaCardplus Additional Features: Audio recording, USB 2.0 compatibility, built-in speaker, auto power save, date/time stamp, DPOF support, sharpness control, digital image rotation, PictBridge support, AE lock, AF lock, in-camera red-eye removal, resizing an image, saturation control, contrast control, face detection, built-in help guide, Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR), automatic display brightness adjustment
  20. Now I am torn. I was all excited about picking up the L200, then found out that the camera they are really offering is a BL103? What is it? Samsung put their name on it, so why don't they take credit for it on thier website? Hmmm, what to do... Does Walmart have special return policies for cameras?
  21. I went for the PJs last year. I pulled them out of the package to get a good look before buying. They weren't worth it. I spent a little more on better quality ones. The ones they had the year before were better quality, my kids have handed them down and they are still in use.
  22. Thanks.

    Starting time?

What time of day does the Walmart sale begin?
  24. I thought that I did well until I saw what YOU got! Now I'm jealous - I want to shop your stores! I was surprised how much was left at 90% last night. Candy and decorations were gone, no good toys were left - they were gone at 50%. But there was almost a whole aisle of costumes and some clothes. The items I had decided to not buy at 50% were still where I had left them, so we got a few things. Well, at least I got what I went for. As an added bonus ###070011880 - Wearever 10pc hard anonized cookware set 75% off, 19.98
  25. 90% is only for 1 day, right? My store was still 50% as of 8:00 last night - when will the 90% day be? If I happen to find some goodies somewhere, I would hate to find out that the price has been bumped back up to salvage price. Is it time to start stalking Target?
