Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009
fluffkin79 replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
I know of several people that fill stockings to donate to needy children during the holidays. It would be awesome to find good stockings at 90% off instead of giving throw-aways from the dollar store. -

It's not very far for me, but I am wondering the same thing. I would love to replace my tree if they had some with multi-color lights, but theirs are all white lights. Otherwise all I really want is gift bags. I don't know if I really need to keep going back for those. -

I saw a Panasonic microwave on clearance for $75 yesterday. There were several, so I came home to research it before buying (it's big and heavy, lol. No unneeded returns for me). Does anyone know how long they have been on clearance? 50% is good, 75% would be great. If I buy now and they are still there at 75% I can rebuy and return with the old receipt, right? If I remember right, it's just the seasonal stuff that you loose out on by getting the current price for returns. -

Christmas was 75% in Kohler, WI today as of noon. I mentioned to the cashier that I was looking for 90% and she heard something about not today. Guess I'll be back in the morning. And maybe the next day. And later in the week to check on toys. I think maybe I'll just move in, lol. I saw some bath and makeup sets in the toy dept. And a few in the baby dept. Kinda weird places to put them, IMHO. The were red-stickered at 15-15% off. Clearance toys were mostly 30%. The weird thing is there were quite a few that were right next to 30% signs, and the price stickers had a little "30" on it, but they were really 50%. Nothing I wanted though. I'm glad that I cruised through that dept. There were several toys that had 10 or more on the shelf and only one box (or one row of boxes) had a clearance sticker on it. If they don't get around to stickering them before the big day I might have a better chance of getting the things that I want. Usually this store is right on top of things, so they will probably fix that. I did check out Elmo Live, but he doesn't seem to be joining the clearance toys quite yet. Oh well, I guess we didn't need him anyways. -

Has anyone noticed any aquadoodles on clearance? One of my kids got a tiny kit as a gift and all 3 have been fighting over it. The travel-sized on would be ideal for us. -

I couldn't believe how much stuff they had left at 75%. I am guessing that they had been 75% for 2 days - this store usually down goes fast. The aisles were jam-packed with an insane amout of christmas stuff. The only things that seemed to sell were the kids clothes and bagged candy. I told DD that I would get her another box of candy canes IF I could find them - not a problem, there was a whole endcap and half an asile. I can't wait for 90% this year. -
They had one at Target - generic brand. It is a space gun that lights up a makes a noise. I actually handed it to my kids to play with in the store. It's very loud and makes noise as long as you hold the trigger down instead of short bursts. I have a high tolerance for annoying, but this got under my skin fast. DS2 and DD3 both loved it. It was $5 before Christmas, but there is a good chance it is on clearance now. We got: Play makeup for DD5. Your niece is 9, be sure to include nail polish. Colorwonder glitter paint set - not as mess free as I had hoped . Of course you could totally skip the whole "mess free" suggestion and go with straight finger paint. Or anything glitter. Hannah Montana singing Barbie. She is loud. Don't even try to think while she is singing. I got my nephew a Wacky Stick the year he was 2. He immediatly started hitting his mom in the head with it. Right now it looks like ebay is the only place to find it, but there might be others like it out there somewhere. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B00000ISBQ/ref=dp_image_text_0?ie=UTF8&n=165793011&s=toys-and-games hmmm, guess I don't know how to link a pic. Cranberry Splash Sierra Mist Free
fluffkin79 replied to boblabontefan's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
I saw some at Walmart in the seasonal grocery aisle last night. I'm not sure if they had diet, but there were several 2-liters left. Of course, there is a lot of everything left here, nobody seems to be buying anything. -
Robots DVD and a bag full of chapstick. I got the chapstick when it was free after coupons with the intention of putting some in every stocking I could find, but it disappeared. Not forgotten, just very lost. My sister's slippers were MIA from BF until 2 days before christmas, along with the tattoo/sticker books and 2 DVDs that were in the same bag. I was standing in my garage, talking to my Mom on the phone telling her that I wasn't going to be able to find them when they materialized in front of me in a place I had looked at several times. I think I am losing it, lol!

Tell me your hits this year for toys
fluffkin79 replied to tjarena's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Hits DD5: singing Hannah Montana barbie, jewerly box with cheap plastic jewlery, the blanket Grandma made for her, playdoh. DD3: blanket Grandma made for her (she squeaked "A Blanket!?! For me?!? - it was adorable!), snap and style baby Niki, playdoh. DS2: Thomas engine and accessories, Transformers bumper battlers, Storytime projector, treats (I thought I put them away, but he keeps finding more!). All: Caillou's Holiday Movie - I can quote it aleady. Games - they got Hungry, Hungry Hippo, Connect Four, Polar Bear ABC, Puppy Pals Bingo, and Duck, Duck 123 DH: Rubik's Magic and Rubik's Cube. He played with them all Chritmas and took the cube with for the road trip to Grandma's. He will be a pro Rubik's solver in a week at this rate! We have inexpensive taste, lol. I don't think anything on the hit list cost over $20, most much less (going by my price, not full retail). No true misses, but... 1. The ball for the Fisher Price cow bowling set is supposed to do something. I replaced the batteries and it still doesn't make any noises or anything. The kids like playing with it anyways- they don't know that it is supposed to make noise. 2. My mom gave me and DH gift cards to the movies. Unfortunatly, they were for the theater near her (2 hours from us). She had planned to watch our kids after our Christmas gathering, but we were really late due to the fog and our party went from 8pm to midnight. We did get to go the the movies, though. We left the kids with my sister and were able to sneak off to a matinee before the big family gathering the next day. Not a dud, really - we were just tight on time. 3. I think that DD5 feels like she should love the polar bear that she asked Santa to bring her, but she really isn't that interested. They all seem to like his choices better than the stuff that they asked for. 4. The kids loved them, but I could have lived without a) the play make-up for DD5. DD3 got into it and put purple polka-dots her new pink shirt. Colorwonder glitter paint set. I didn't think to put it up high, after all it is "mess-free" colorwonder, right? Wrong! I normally love the colorwonder stuff, it really is mess free. This is not. True, the paint will not show colors on most surfaces, but it has real glitter in the "paint" - which feels a lot like giltter glue. The result was that my table, kids, and myself got covered in glitter glue. And the kids liked it enough that they pulled it out and did it again while I was trying to make dinner, so our table sparkled for Christmas dinner. -
Bump.

Walmart.com Board Games On Sale Some as low as $2.88!
fluffkin79 replied to dragonballnutts's topic in Online Hot Deals
Is Cranium $10 in stores, too? They would be super-cheap with the $5 peelies that have been on them recently. -
Go to the website! Right on the front page is a place to print out a $10/$50 (in store only) coupon. I sooo wish there was a store near me right now!

Fantastic gift deal at bath and bodyworks!!
fluffkin79 replied to zoemariesmamma's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Will the lambie blanket go cheaper, or is this as cheap as it goes? Now that I have the free lambie plush from the last coupon I want the blanket to go with it for a baby gift. -
How about a movie basket. Choose a movie (or a few), a toasty throw blanket, and some popcorn and/or snacks. I just tried Dale and Thomas popcorn - it is yummy! Or Aldi has a 3.5 oz bag of chocolate drizzled carmel popcorn for .95. I just finished a bag and it's pretty good. Do you know where they like to go or what they like to do?

I just saw a pallet full of these at my WM tonight with a big $99 sign right above them.
-
Thanks for the tip! I can't find it on their website, but I will be in the store tonight. Maybe I will get lucky?

The one that my daughter wants swims in water. You turn the seashell on her neck and her fin flaps. If I am not able to get this on time, I could go with the babie-type Ariel doll (also a bath toy), but those elves would have some explaining to do.
-
Thanks for all the ideas! I got them Waking Ned Devine (hope it's good - I haven't seen it yet but the reviews are great) and Frequency. For better or worse, they are on their way.

Help, this is urgent! We need this doll by Christmas Eve http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3238384 This year my daughter is focused on one particular toy, and I can't find it. We saw one - just one - of these at Kohl's about a week ago and she fell in love. This is all she wants from Santa. When I went back for it, the doll was gone. I can't find it on the Kohl's website, or Fisher Price's. Is TRU good at getting thier stuff out on time? Is this available anywhere else? TIA.

This looks like a good deal. Are there any codes to make it better? Otherwise I will order tonight. http://www.buy.com/prod/canon-powershot-a590-is-8-megapixels-4x-optical-zoom-2-5-lcd-iso-1600/q/loc/33409/206928380.html?adid=17070&dcaid=17070 Oh, it is 149.99 until you get the $50 instant reabate for using PayPal

Ours came into the store on the 4th and we picked them up.

My DDs are 5 & 3, and we don't want more floor fodder. They are getting candy, snow globes (will get put away with the Christmas stuff), movies, barbies, an insulated mug with hot chocolate packets, puzzles, books, and necklaces.

I never believed. My sister told me the truth before I learned the myth. I did play along and he kept comming until I was 18. Lying doesn't come naturally to me. Sometimes I wish that it did. I wouldn't be surprised if DD5 has figured out the truth on her own. If she hasn't, I'm sure she will soon. Whenever she asks questions about Santa I have to stop and think before I answer. I try to answer in a way that is not a lie (even if it is not the whole truth). I have to tell myself that there IS a Santa - me, then I am better able to answer her. Once she finds out I will ask her to keep it to herself. Believing in Santa is a magical part of the holidays for so many kids and it is not our place to ruin it. I remember a heated discussion between my 5th grade class about Santa. At 10 and 11 years old, most of the kids knew the secret, but two girls were convinced that he was real. As much as the other kids tried to change their minds, the girls would not be swayed. I thought that it must be great to be able to believe in Santa and that the kids that were trying to tell them the secret were just being mean. I had no urge to ruin it for others so I joined the debate on the believer's side.

Thanks! I needed a good laugh! This year my DD3 told me that she asked Santa to bring her a Birthday Cake and... cars that she could give to her little brother. I think that is managable. The next day I pulled out the cars that I was going to give to DS2 and let her help me wrap them from her to him. I love her!
