Digital picture frames from Walmart. They were bought online (during the wee hours of the morning) and no brand name was listed on the site. They were such a great deal that I bought blindly. The came packaged in plain white boxes, no name or model number on the box or item. One worked OK, but had a loop of wire hanging out of the housing and sounded like there was a loose screw rattling around inside. The other looked OK, but had several pixels that were always red - everybody had pimples! I was able to return them without a problem, but BF prices had passed and I had to spend more than I otherwise would have to replace them. I have learned my lesson, especially for Blitz items, especially at Wal-Mart. Check reviews on electronics whenever possible. Make sure the model you are buying is not a stripped-down blitz-version model that looks just like the one you really want. Open packages and feel the cloth. Inspect all items for quality, preferably before you leave the store but definatly before you wrap them. Keep those receipts handy! I have passed up quite a few things (towels, kids' PJs, shoes, jackets) in the past couple years that looked great in the ad but were terrible quality. It is too easy to grab them in the store during the BF rush and not notice how junkie they are...

Which Didj titles are being clearanced at your stores? I found Nancy Drew and Super Chicks at 50% tonight and am wondering if there are any others I should be on the lookout for? I did find some shoes on clearance tonight 30-75% off. Sadly, all of the girl's gym shoes were gone from my store:(. I did manage to find some sandals and dressier shoes for my DD for $3.xx and $4.xx.

Don't kids shoes get clearanced out about the same time as the toys do? We have plenty of toys stashed, so I am really looking stock up on shoes this time.

Were there any kids 4th of July clothes at Target this year? Were are they on markdowns today?

I was thinking the same thing. Even at 80% off lots of kid's clothes are still $4-5 or more. And not for anything grand, just t's, sweats, and leggings. That's just not cheap enough for me after stocking up at Target's 75% off ($1 per piece for basics like sweats and T's). I guess I am not that picky, Hanes works as well as Carter's sweats for us. Now, and extra 25% would encourage me to buy coats, dresses, and nicer clothes. I might have to go check this one out.

Did all of the bulk stuff go on clearance? I was looking for trash bags and toilet paper. They have been moved to the regular shelves and were ringing up full price last time I was there. The stuff still in the bulk aisle was 15% off at the time.

The numbers in their system are not always accurate. I wanted a microwave that was being clearanced. The only one I saw was the demo. I asked an employee who scanned it, the system said there were 7 in store. He said "that's wierd, I am pretty sure I just sold the last one." He looked all over the store and back room - even asked other employees - but there weren't any others. They did sell me the demo, but I would have preferred one still in the box if it was available.

What a great trip! The markdown lady was doing her thing as I shopped. I was the only customer around, except for a couple employess (guessing they were on break). I saw posts about other stores marking down yesterday afternoon, but I wasn't able to make it until this morning. I was worried someone else would buy "my" stuff. Does anyone have the DCPI for the Coleman tent? I really need a tent. The only one on clearnce at my store is another brand (Eddie Bauer, I think), and it has way too much mesh in the sides to be usable IMHO. I would be willing to search and drive to get a good one cheap.

My store doesn't usually mark down toys till Thurs, but I went to check this morning anyways. As of 9:00 this morning, there were no new markdowns in toys. They were working on the men's dept. Now I see men's and toys listed for Wednesday on the first post here and I want (very badly) to go back and see if they did get to toys today. I was there pretty early, so they might have gotten there after all. One hour till DH gets home... I did manage to find some things worth buying. I got: ###women's shirts (Cherokee T's and Mossimo long sleeve T's) 2.24 ###women's Merona velour jacket 6.24 ###gloves, hats, and scarves for the kids .98-2.24 ###girls Cherokee performance long underwear 3.24 All were 75% off. There were boy's thermal long underwear and men's and women's gloves 75% off, too. It seemed like most of the men's 75% clothing was going salvage today.

Tell me more about Fancy Nancy. We love her books, but not at full price. Where these in toys, books/electronics, or somewhere else? Do you know the official name so I can goole it and find a pic? TIA.

Did your Targets have any Didj games - on clearance or otherwise? The first store I went to had some picked over accessories that I didn't pay much attention to because they didn't have any game systems. The second had game systems, but no accesories. Have there been any tents marked down at your stores? If so, do you remember which one(s) or how much? TIA.

I've never tried having them look up my reciept. Can do it if I paid with a debit card? Do all Target stores do it? I found the Panasonic Microwave for $37.xx today and I already have one that I bought for $75, but misplaced the receipt. Any Wisconsinites on here? The Fond du Lac store had at least 20 Star Wars Didj and both Fond du Lac and Kohler stores had bunches of Fly pens. Unfortuntly for us, no Disney Princess Barbie sets.

Someone posted that they got Our Generation Dolls on clearance. The stores in my town - and in my mom's town - still have them at full price. Has anyone else seen them on clearance? I am wondering if they will go down when they get around to fininshing this toy clearance thing or if it was a one-store deal. TIA.

At my store the toys were pretty organized. They had almost all of the clearance toys together in a couple aisles and on the endcaps. There were a few surprises in the regular toy aisles, but most had been moved. Then there was one lonely aisle of clearance toys at the very back of the store between the global bazzaar (sorry, forgot what they are calling it this year) and bikes. Nobody seemed to know about that aisle and I had it to myself for a good 20 minutes. I also picked up some non-toy 75% clearance today. I got a couple more kids shirts and ###070052103 Kitchen brush set 1.28 ###070053331 Cutting board 2.07 There seemed to be quite a bit of 75% in housewares today.

I think I figured out the Cabbage Patch mystery. 25th Anniversary Cabbage Patch dolls were 75% off at my store ($6.xx), the very similar-looking 25th Anniversary Cabbage Patch Preemie dolls were still $17.xx. I couldn't figure out some of the other mysteries. One type of Transformers were 75% off ($3.xx), but most were 50%. All of the Word World items I saw were 75%, except the aquadoodle-like keychain set. Some Magnetix were 75%, but not others. Smart Cycle, Dora and Diego Aquadoodle, and Fisher-Price DVD players were 50% off - and there were still a lot of 30% around. No disney princess barbie sets or Our Generation dolls to be found:(. I did manage to spend about $150 on 75% toys. There were several things that I hadn't seen there before. Which Our Generation dolls are on clearance? None had tags last time I checked. I would love to get these for my little girls for Christmas.

Gloat all you want, 85 degrees is too hot for me! Come try our subzero weather - it makes you feel all tingly. Now to figure out what time to check out Target. Last year I hit it just right Thursday at 10am. They were just getting started with the markdowns, so I was able to get all I wanted and bring it to the crew if they hadn't gotten to it yet. I don't want to miss it by being too early for the markdown team to get going or by being too late and having to pick though the leftovers. Of course I will have to check tomorrow, but have my doubts about how my 2 tots will handle so much time in Target 2 days in a row...

Even though Target's website says "not available in stores" there were 4 at my store. None had the red/white internet return labels. I saw a lot of kids' shoes and boots on clearance for 30-75% off a couple days ago. Are they all 75% now? If so I need to fit in a trip to Target tonight.

I don't know all the toys that are 30%, but here is my wish list of currently red-tagged toys: Transformers (I believe it is just some of the "Animated" ones that are on clearance) Playdoh caddy - reg 19.99 Smart Cycle - currently 30% Dora/Diego Aquadoodle Train Table Barbies - there are vairous ones currently clearanced, all would be great in our gift pile Cabbage Patch dolls - I don't know which, but I did see some red stickers in that aisle. For those of you watching the train table - Is it Circo brand? What is the regular price? I only have one store and they are long gone here. If I have more info I could send my mom out looking for me in her town. I am kicking myself for not getting the one I had in my cart during the summer clearance. At the time I wanted to get DS some trains, but hadn't found a good enough deal so I skipped it. I should have known that I would be able to find a way to get him those trains.
