  1. I got movies and clothes at BF prices today.
  2. How early do you have to be there to be on of the first 100?
  3. Mops and clorox ready mop pad were 70% off at my store today.
  4. Did anyone see electric scooters or shoes go down? Gym shoes, specifically. I went to the 2 closest stores this morning, but they were just getting started in toys and sporting goods, hadn't even started in shoes. I'm wondering if it's worth going to a further store.
  5. Weird! I went to 4 stores today and each one had different markdowns. For example, the first 3 stores had the red powerwheel car at 50% and the last store had it marked to 70%. I got 2 Monster High sets at the first store (70%) that were still full price at store #2, 70% at store 3, (but $1 cheaper?!?), and one was full-price one was 70% at store #4. I found shoes I liked for 70% at one store, but in the wrong size. Another store had the right size, but was only 50%. I needed to pick up some groceries, but I waited until I got to store #3 for that. I saw the sign for a $5 GG wyb 3 boxes of cereal at store #2, but store #3 didn't have the same deal (neither did store #4). I suspect that some of the differences were just missed items, but I've never seen so many differences between stores. I did find a lot of good deals at 70%: Hot Wheels Triple Track Twister $13.xx Transformer small 2-packs (Transformer and dinosaur) $2.98 Let's Play? (that's what the receipt says, there was no box or upc) "Lego"ish storage box, yellow with a green & blue baseplate on top $5.40 Nerf Darts, 12? pack 1.48 Flywheels $2.98 Monster High doll (Ghoul's Alive Clawdeen) $6ish Monster High Scaris Cafe 5.98 Monster High Create-a-Monster sets $3.28 Girls Cherokee jeans $4.48 Girls Velour pants $3.88 Various slippers, shoes, and boots 2.98-8.98 Embark water bottles 1.78-2.38 (sporting goods) Tie-Dye kit $5.38 (stationary dept.) and at 50% (19.98): a telescope. I have no idea if it's any good, but all 3 of my kids wanted one for Christmas and I only saw 2 of them at 1 store so I got it.
  6. I just ordered the $49 Proscan tablet and now have no reason to go out shopping tonight. Yeah for online sales!
  7. OK, I ordered one. DH wants a 16GB Kindle Fire, but he didn't want the ads. This was too good a deal to pass up. I hope the ads don't bother him too much.
  8. Bras. I know - not very exciting, but its 4 for the (sale) price of 2. And the Kohl's Cash should be good for 3-4 new pillows.
  9. This is the first generation of kindle fire HD. Is there a second gereration? Is this the same one available on Amazon? If not, what is the difference?
  10. I didn't have any devices on me. The electronics guy said the customer service would look it up on their iPad. CS didn't even have to look it up. He said that he'd already pm'd a few and knew what was up.
  11. For the gift with purchase; it that a coupon? Is it advertised somewhere?
  12. I found the Nerf Rebelle gun in the front of my store, where the Halloween Costumes were a few weeks ago. It might be worth looking if you can't find any in your toy dept.
  13. Heads up: Target has a $5/$25 Monster High Toy coupon (toy book or printable). It makes the Monster High School House $24.99.
  14. In my experience, SOME prices are not available in Wisconsin. WI and a few other states have minimum markup laws that prohibit some items being sold at the nationally advertised price. The only items I have personally had trouble with were super-cheap DVDs. They were still available in my store, but at a higher price. Not sure if this is and option for you, but I was able to get around it by ordering (my account, my WI information) and having them shipped to my mom in IL. Cheating? Perhaps, but they were gifts for someone in who lives in IL, so they never crossed the border. Blurry line.
  15. Link's working now, thanks. Whoo-Hoo! This looks pretty exciting to me! I'd love to get Skylanders Swapforce for DS, but $40 is my limit and I don't think I'll be able to do this year's 5-8 pm start times. I was hoping to be able to order one online, but picking it up in store before BF (and not having to worry about cancelled orders!) would be even better.
  16. If I had any spare cash I'd consider lining up for the cheap 50". It looks like I'll be website stalking - hoping to order cheap dolls, movies, and video games. Maybe I'll show up around 10 pm and dig through the scraps.
  17. Didn't we have this same discussion last year? Unless something changed with the price match policy, you should be able to price match TRU at Walmart during the active sale hours. I am considering trying to match TRU's skylanders price at WM Thursday night. (Assuming all of Walmart's Skaylanders are not wrapped up in black plastic on a pallet somewhere.) What you cannot do is buy a Skylanders set from Walmart on Monday, then return to Walmart with the receipt and TRU ad on Thursday night and get the difference refunded.
  18. You don't really need the loom to make stuff. My kids got some rubber band packs at Five Below (3 packs for $5) and loop them over pencils to make the fishtail bracelets. Before they learned how to make the fishtail ones they just strung them together one at a time. They haven't asked for a loom, yet. Does anyone know if you can use a 40% off coupon on the Rainbow Looms at JoAnn's? Michael's had a "no coupons on this item" sign, even though they were full price.
  19. Remaining back-to-school is now 70%. There were still some backpacks and lunch bags that have been holding out until today.
  20. Which day should I watch for back to school markdowns? Wednesday?
  21. July toy clearance: are the past dates listed somewhere?
  22. V-day toys 90% off (scan. Both stores I went to had non-clearance mixed in. Some Princess stuff is included, some isn't.) Candy 50-70% off, including candy-filled Easter Eggs. Cars ring-pops and M&M's were 70% off at my first store and 50% and the second store today.
