I don't recall a Gymbo ad...they typically have the Jingle Deals and 30% off, but I'm hearing this year that the entire store will be 50% off, and you can stack coupons... Oh, and they're opening at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Don't know about Crazy 8, but one would think it would be a similar sale...HTH!

How about a poll in which someone has to guess day (and hour?) of when the first campers will be set up and spotted by either another GDer, or the news crews (since they seem to get earlier and earlier each year)...

Don't say "shame on you" if you are there to shop...retail isn't the only industry that works on holidays! I work in therapy, and I'm on call for the holiday--not a nurse, THERAPY? Who in the hell needs physical therapy that badly on a major holiday, that someone has to be on call?? But it's my job...so I will be on call, have dinner with my family early, and be at TRU before 5...my family is small, and we are done eating well before 5. My husband will be OK with my going, knowing that I get good deals when I go, AND he knows if I start out that early, I likely will not be out all night, as in previous years...

My kids really enjoy it...and we have Skylanders, Skylanders Giants, and we are getting them Swap Force for Christmas. It is very different, but my 8 year old has a friend who also has it, and even when he goes to his house, that's what they play...I think as they come out with more characters and more "adventure packs," for lack of whatever it is that they call them, they'll be more popular, as what they have out now is just kind of meh, IMO...

I could've sworn I already heard a radio ad for them for BF...and I *think* it said 40% off the entire store...not positive, but that's what I've had in my head all week, about when I plan to get there, since we have one in our outlet center and I HATE their lines, but for 40% off plus to stack a coupon, I'll check them out...

I know the Nexus 7 has only the front camera, but I thought I read here that the Nexus 10 has both cameras? I was skimming, so I may have mis-read that, but in any event, dh wants me to go by reviews, and our ds IS only 7, so we don't need all of the bells and whistles, and we really don't *need* expandable memory for him...the Nexus 7 was what I was sold on, once I moved from the Nabi 2, until I started reading here, so I'm gonna go with my gut... Thanks all for the input on the Google Play card--I will pick up one of those as well...

So I think I'm still going with the Nexus...just have to ask dh if he thinks the 7 or 10 for our 7 yo...for the little difference in $$, and the rear camera too, I think that's what I'd prefer...was considering Galaxy 2 based on some recommendations here, but I see in further reading, that the Nexus got better reviews all around, so I'm sticking with my original choice. I currently have an iPod Touch, as does my dh, so I know how iTunes works, but since this is Android, do they make Android gift cards like they do iTunes? I was thinking if they did, I could get ds one of them, so he can get some apps...I don't want to put in my cc info so that we can just add apps whenever, because I'm always afraid they'll learn my password and go nuts buying apps, LOL!

Do you mean the one that TRU was clearancing? Pretty sure that was the old one... Not sure if that is what you're saying, or if my talking about ads was what you meant, which is on the new one...

You may not regret not getting it. I almost jumped at that to get it for my ds, and my siblings and I are getting my parents a kindle fire for christmas, so I was thinking of getting two. My sister said my brother wants to get the newer one, but I don't like having to pay to remove ads, and having to buy an adapter. My sister said she is on her second original kindle fire (she only got it last Christmas), because the adapter sucks and doesn't work well with the unit. And there is no camera at all, which is a must for my ds. And she has a friend who has the exact same issues with hers, and she has since read that this is a frequent problem. Sounds like it would end up costing more in the long run...
