do NOT get a Samsung!! They need to stick with what they know--TVs!! However, we do have a Samsung fridge, and we really like that. But we made the mistake of switching the rest of our appliances to Samsungs as they wore out...BIG mistake. The washer didn't even make it 3 years, and that's with it being fixed while under warranty, then a friend fixed it and showed us how to do it, and then we'd have to do it nearly once a month, and we finally got rid of it. Then the dryer went shortly thereafter. Our previous dryer had outlasted like 3 washing machines, and the Samsung dryer barely outlived the washer. So we have an LG set now, top loader, as was the Samsung, and I hesitate to say I love them, out of fear that I may jinx myself. But we've had the washer for 2 years and the dryer for nearly a year, and they're both going strong, with no issues. Now our Samsung dishwasher, which we've had for probably 4 years, is on its way out...NEVER AGAIN!!

Happy September, everyone! Brad, sent you a PM... So I'm on the east coast, so it's already September 2nd, here, which means I now have TWO teenage sons, as my youngest son is now 13. My other son is 14, and my daughter is 9. Got my first legit Christmas gift for one of them the other day, a new Kindle Fire with using American Express rewards that made it $20 when you used at least 1 reward point. I only had $1.19 in points, so it made it $20 even...so an awesome gift, likely for my daughter, nice and cheap! So how long til the first ad comes out? Not that I need anything from Harbor Freight anyway, LOL...have a great month, everyone!

Happy July!! I was in upstate NY over the weekend, and it was just as hot there as it is here in south central PA, so no relief from this brutal heat...but once the 4th gets here, summer flies by, so it won't be long now til I'm wishing it was warmer outside...*sigh*

Don't get a Samsung, that's all I'll say...I couldn't WAIT for our old dishwasher to die, and we got a decent deal from BB on BF a few years back on a Samsung. Now I'm not able to wait for this one to die. What a piece of garbage. I have to completely rinse all of the stuff off the dishes before we load it, or it's guaranteed to still be dirty when the cycle is over.

June already...kids have 6 1/2 more school days. DD had a soccer tournament today, and it seems we went directly from winter to summer. Looking forward to my kids being on summer vacation, but it always goes by too fast. And my oldest boy (14) will be going on a Boy Scout trip to Yosemite for TWO WEEKS in July...as much as it'll be a trip of a lifetime for him, I'm dreading it. I can't imagine not seeing him for 2 weeks!!

I like the different color shirt idea, but I don't care for orange. Pretty much any other color, LOL...well OK, not a fan of red or yellow, either...but seriously, any color other than those 3, I can make work...

TRU just proved once more to me, why they're going out of business. I have one son who is a HUGE Boba Fett fan, and I don't know that he's even aware that Lego now makes a big Boba Fett construction figure, but TRU had it for $29.99. First time I'd ever seen it, so I almost bought it there. Googled it, and it was $6 cheaper every place else. I will miss the variety of what TRU carries, and the TRU exclusive items, but my oldest two are almost aged out of everything there now, aside from Legos and video games, and before I know it, my 8 year old girl will be done, too...

We're out of the line of fire for the most part with this storm, thankfully. Just quite a bit of rain and very windy tomorrow, possibly some wintry mix, but nothing like friends and family up in NY are expected to get--and that suits me just fine, LOL

February 1!! Thankfully it was a mild January here in PA, which is why I feel like the month went by so much faster than it typically does. And now it's a short month, and then we don't typically get much, if any, snow in March...so ready for spring, but it's by no means been a horrible winter (at least not as of yet). THIS is our Walmart, too...in fact, I was totally pissed the last time, because I checked in, was the only one there, and then very quickly, a line built up about 4 more parties deep. So when they FINALLY started bringing orders out, they were about the fourth down on the list, and I told the girl that I'd been waiting longer than everyone else there, and her reply was, "I'm just picking them in the order they're coming up on my device," and I told her she needed to go in the order they are on THE PICKUP SCREEN. I was hot, because I already DESPISE Walmart as it is, and try to avoid buying anything that I might have to potentially return, because they have the WORST return lines of ANY I've ever shopped in, which I totally don't understand, either...I HATE Walmart, and I do everything in my power to avoid setting foot in their stores for anything...
