THIS is our Walmart, too...in fact, I was totally pissed the last time, because I checked in, was the only one there, and then very quickly, a line built up about 4 more parties deep. So when they FINALLY started bringing orders out, they were about the fourth down on the list, and I told the girl that I'd been waiting longer than everyone else there, and her reply was, "I'm just picking them in the order they're coming up on my device," and I told her she needed to go in the order they are on THE PICKUP SCREEN. I was hot, because I already DESPISE Walmart as it is, and try to avoid buying anything that I might have to potentially return, because they have the WORST return lines of ANY I've ever shopped in, which I totally don't understand, either...I HATE Walmart, and I do everything in my power to avoid setting foot in their stores for anything... Quick question...I'm typically up after midnight, but I'm on Eastern time... what time zone are we using for this, because if I remember correctly, Brad, you are in WI, so that would be central, I believe? I'm sure I could just do it another time, but it'll be easy to take care of December later tonight, but I don't want to think it's done when I may be an hour too early... I can't imagine she was able to exit the store with "several" of them...every place I've seen has limited them to one per customer... I just saw an article on FB tonight, that TRU is expected to have the NES and Hatchimals when the store opens on Sunday. They didn't say "all" stores, and they didn't say how many, but that is the article circulating, so it might be worth being in line on Sunday morning, just in case...

I just read an article yesterday about this happening, and how when/if it should happen, you are not legally bound to return the item/s that were shipped to you in error. Knowing that, I'd have probably kept them, LOL... Kohl's is the worst with this. 3 times I've had stuff show up in my order that was NOT what I ordered. I also got what I ordered, but there'd be an extra shirt or two, or something like that in there. I always took them back, because I didn't have any use for them, and to me, it was the right thing to do...

My son bought one from TRU on BF for $25. We took it back the next day because he said it wasn't compatible with his phone (it's a Moto G). He bought a cheaper one for $10, and he told me today, it is also NOT compatible with his phone, even though the box said it was compatible with almost any phone. I ordered one from Best Buy on BF for $10, and I assume I will be taking that one back as well...*sigh* He was SO excited to get one of these!!

I haven't signed up for Apple emails, but I will. I'm pretty sure I get emails from newegg as well, but I will double check to make sure. Thanks for the advice!

It's really a matter of the right place at the right time. My DD wanted a specific one, and I was able to get it yesterday at Target. I had checked availability on Sunday night online, and they had none at my store. Then yesterday morning, when I was checking to see what the 50% off toy of the day was, I checked inventory again, on a whim. They had them in stock, which had to have been done deliberately, since they were OOS the night before. So I got up, and got there around 7:40. I was #4 in line, and they had 6. Two of each of 3 different ones. Very orderly. Gave us numbered claim tickets, took us directly to customer service to pick out which one we wanted, one by one, and checked us out right then and there.

TRU has it for $50 off, and BB has it for $25 off, no GC incentive. I don't know if WM would match those (I don't think they match $$ off, or is it just % off they don't match?), but I guess I'm more wondering if Amazon will lower their price on BF to "match" TRU's price, to get the business. Or even if Apple will match that price online? I guess I'm going to hope that it's an early doorbuster next week, so I know whether or not I have to wait in line to get in on BF, or I'll probably just go ahead and get the one at BB, just so I can get it online, rather than chance it at TRU...

Thanks for the link. I will keep checking there. My oldest will be 13 in January, and is super responsible, so I don't expect that he'll lose or damage it, as he has my old one (and even without the case!!), and he's been OK with it for over a year now, but the problem is that it's so old, you can't update anything on it anymore. It's looking like it's only $30 cheaper for the refurb, even with the new ones at regular price, though double the memory, so I will likely still go new, just so it'll last him longer to be able to update apps and operating systems.

TRU will have them $50 off, BB will have them $25 off. I'm leaning toward just getting it online (if able), from BB on Thanksgiving, rather than chance it and wait it out at TRU. But I know sometimes Amazon will change their prices to match BF ads, so that's also an option, if that were to happen. I haven't been in the market for this kind of item, as my kids are 12 and under, so I don't know what to expect...

I have had MUCH better luck with zoolert.com and stockinformer.com. For whatever reason, the nowinstock site, I can't get the texts, only email alerts, and when I am around to get the email, which isn't often, it seems, they are long gone...

That would be amazing!! I've looked on ebay, and it's ridiculous what people are asking (and getting!) for them!! And I keep hearing the Target employees saying how the "resellers" are scooping them all up...makes me sick...

Woot! got one on Amazon tonight...not the one she wanted, but at least I have ONE...it is the same one her bestie is getting, so maybe I can sell her on that...but I will keep looking for the one I KNOW she wants, and if I get that one, I will sell the one I just bought...and no way I'd sell it for $100 or more, either...I'll be happy to get my $$ back, and maybe it would help someone else out who can't find one..thanks for all of the advice!!
