yes, the fact that they don't even know what they are camping out for is ridiculous...I agree with PP, it's all for the attention...so what happens when the ad comes out and they realize it's crap, and they don't need anything in it? Not impressed by stupid people...

1: As the guy zooms by in the car, you know he's already gotten into and out of the store, and is yelling "SUCKERS!! If you can hear me, I got your doorbusters!!" to all of the people still standing in line... 2: "Hey, come with me! I could use an extra set of hands to grab a few things!" 3: "Oh my God, I missed Thanksgiving dinner, stayed up all night, and they sold the last TV to the guy in front of me!! *sniff* I'm NEVER doing this again!"

still wondering what time 8 oclock event wristbands get handed out...

By the time the store opened here last year (which was 8 o'clock, I believe), the line was wrapped around the store, and about doubled to almost to the front corner of the store. I got in and got the things I wanted and got out quickly, but the inside lines were forming quickly behind me, and there were still TONS of people waiting in line to be let in...I was there about 2 hours before the store opened, and was not within the first 200 or whatever that got the grab bag they were giving away...

Oooh, I get so mad at myself when I can't figure out where I read something, and I know DH will ask where I got this info, so I have to ask... Didn't someone say that the Element TVs are actually made by a different manufacturer? Was it Vizio? Just trying to have all of my ducks in a row so we can figure out if we want to try and get the 40" from WM or the 50" from Target...

Exactly this...my husband was back and forth with BB two years ago, and was bringing both Samsung and LG TVs to compare, and you'd never know LG had the worse picture, until having them side by side to see how great the Samsung picture is...we probably went through about 6 TVs before going with our Samsung...

It seems as the day goes on, we are seeing more and more BF pricing online here...I want the Samsung dishwasher, but in order to get free installation, you have to be in-store...there is no way in h3ll that I want to be "in-store" at BB on BF...if the BF price shows up today or tomorrow, will it also be at the BF price in-store at that time, or will I be forced to wait it out at the store on BF?

I may call them for clarification, since I've never had to buy anything on BF where they were handing out wristbands, so I'm totally clueless...and if that's the case, that they'll start handing them out after the first doorbusters are over, then I have to hope I can get right in and right out at TRU...

ours went up yesterday...DH pointed out that this year, the tree will be up for Thanksgiving, which is really the only time we've ever done that, but with the shorter timeframe between the two, I wanted it up sooner...

I'd do separate transactions, if they want to give you a hard time about it...they won't be happy about it, but whatever...

I went and returned my Swap Force starter kit that I had purchased back in September, and came right out and told them that I got it cheaper at Wal-Mart. The lady I spoke with told me that she "wished" I'd come back and gotten a price adjustment instead, which truthfully would've been easier, but given the fact that I got this item more than a month ago, and ordered it more than two months ago, I'm sure if I *hadn't* gone to Wal-Mart, I'd have had trouble getting a price adjustment, and then I'd be REALLY ticked off...

Got my shirt today, thanks!! And also excited for the car USB charger, as we have one in our van now, but when DH and I are using it up front, it never fails that one of our kids needs one for the outlet in the back, and now we have one!

They do an extra % off in store until a certain time of the morning, I think like 10 am, though with them opening earlier, that may end earlier as well...

Oh, and I considered buying the Infinity for the 3DS, since we already have it for the Xbox, but that starter kit has the exact same characters as the one for the Xbox...what genius thought of that? Why would we need 2 of each of those, to have it for two game systems??

Lancaster, PA Wal-Mart had Swap Force for $37. Had to ask for Xbox 360, but when he scanned the tag on the shelf, he said, "Oh yeah," to my question of whether they were in stock. Also bought it for 3DS, as my sons are each getting one for Christmas, and it came with two of the characters I had bought separately, that I can now also return. So initially I spent ~ $92 for the starter kit and two characters that I can also return, and now for ~$72, I have a starter kit for the Xbox 360, one for the 3DS, and the same characters...good deal! Oh, and I met a nice lady in the toy section who was also there for the sale (we had the same items in our cart, LOL), and she gave me a coupon for $2 off a game, so I picked up a Clue game for $3. Now if I don't make it to TRU at 5 on Thanksgiving, that's OK with me!

Thanks for the clarification...I think the confusion for me was because everyone is talking about PMing Skylanders Swap Force, and obviously, that is in the BF ads...

OK, but if you have to BRING the ads, they don't come out til Thanksgiving, unless they have it posted online on the retailer's website sooner, since I suppose they'd be considered "unofficial" until then, right??
