  1. I wrapped the papers and put them in the book with a bookmark, then wrapped the book. It's for my husband so I'll be there to tell him if he doesn't see it sticking out of the book. All of it goes together nicely too. The Robie House Lego set, the Robie House book, and the tickets to the Robie House are in the book along with the hotel reservations.
  2. We use to go for Christmas decorations and wrapping paper. The older I get the less I like dealing with the crowds. Sometimes I'd rather pay full price than lose my sanity. lol
  3. We went grocery shopping early this morning to avoid that rush. I drove by the mall this weekend and traffic was backed up about a mile on the highway waiting to get in. Glad I didn't have to go there.
  4. The book might be a good idea. The tickets are to the Robie House in Chicago. I've seen Frank Lloyd Wright books about that house and other architecture. Thanks
  5. I have some sheets of paper to wrap. I have e-tickets I printed and a hotel confirmation. Other than just sticking it in an envelope what can I do? I really don't want to do the box inside a box since I'm the one who cleans up most of the mess.
  6. Thanks. It's for my husband. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. We decided we are done decorating. The tree is up, outside is done, most of the village is up, and a few other random things. I'm almost done shopping. I have 2 things to return and get the right one. Might get one of my kids a little more. Either Pandora for a year or cash. So that'll be simple. Not one thing is wrapped and I am expecting packages to arrive on Dec. 24th. I plan to do a big grocery shopping trip on Monday.
  8. Ended up buying it on Ebay. $344 with expedited shipping. That's not the only gift showing up on Christmas Eve. lol The rest of the gift is tickets to the real Robie House in Chicago and a hotel stay that weekend. All I had to do for that part was some clicking, printing, then done.
  9. Where is the best place to get retired Lego sets? Ebay range is from $250-$400 and Amazon is $400. I just don't trust Ebay much and worry it wouldn't arrive in time for Christmas. Just suck it up and pay $400 on Amazon and know I have it on time????
  10. Thanks for the ideas. I've added blueberry muffins, a scrambled egg muffin recipe I found, some kind of fruit salad, some kind of pasta salad, veggies and dip. I've had to plan so many meals, birthday dinners, Thanksgiving dinner, school bake sales and parties, etc... that I'm just ready to be done!
  11. I sat down yesterday and did as much as I could online. Even bought gift cards online if shipping was free just to avoid an extra stop at a store. I have my mom and husband to finish up.
  12. I want to have brunch on Christmas mid-morning. I can't seem to come up with a easy menu. This is what I have so far: Ham Hash brown casserole Cinnamon rolls Regular rolls Olives, pickles, cheeses, butter Pumpkin pie-husbands request I am just drawing a blank. I'd like to keep stuff in crock-pots and be able to make it ahead of time if I can. Any help?
  13. I do the same thing. Then the cycle of hoping it arrives in time and having to wrap starts all over.
  14. I'm done with 2 out of 3 kids. Have 3 other adults to finish shopping for. Not a single thing wrapped. Now that I typed that out it seems like a have tons to do. haha
  15. We've always done a mix of everything on our Christmas tree. I've been looking at pinterest and see lots of ideas for themed trees and see some cute ideas. I'm thinking of doing that this year. If I had a white tree I'd love to do the snowman one. http://cdn.diycozyhome.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/white-christmas-tree-snowman.jpg
  16. I found more ideas. http://www.5dollardinners.com/15-scrumptious-ways-to-transform-thanksgiving-leftovers/
  17. Turkey fajitas, pot pie, turkey tetrazzini, hot turkey and cheddar subs, of course soup.
  18. Happy that I was able to pick up the 48" Westinghouse TV for $229. Only 2" smaller and $10 more than the Walmart door buster.
  19. The TV changed to 349 half way through my check out process. Not happy. ETA: Tv is available on Ebay with Best Buy as the seller for the $229 price. http://www.ebay.com/itm/191428693390
  20. I see it on the app and online at $119. Both say out of stock online and not sold in stores. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Was anyone able to get the 40inch tv for $119?
  22. I think this is the first year I haven't made a purchase from TRU for Christmas.
