  1. My husband train horns people 5 nights a week through the middle of the night.
  2. We had dinner at 1:30. Everyone was gone and the kitchen was cleaned up by 4:30 so we took a ride. I wanted to see how busy it was. Not very busy at all. Younkers had a long line and so did Best Buy. Both Walmart parking lots were only 1/2 full. Both targets had a very small line. TRU looked like a normal shopping day. The mall was fairly busy with steady traffic streaming in. I didn't need anything from a store so no shopping for me. All mine was done online this year.
  3. Best Buy- printer and 2 TVs online. I tried buying 2 TVs at once but could only do one per order. Hoping my 2nd order doesn't get cancelled. Did a bunch of random gifts on Amazon. Mainly to get done. Some on sale some just a better price than other stores. Sears- online Shop vac. I don't think it was a Black Friday price but was on sale.
  4. Our newspaper company will deliver our big paper tomorrow but today they posted on Facebook if we want one they are ready. Just have to go to them, pay, and pick it up. What's the point of delivery? If I pay for it today I'll still get tomorrow delivered.
  5. If you do the chat with Amazon they can lower the price of the serger to where it was. I just did this over the summer for a tablet for my son. I had been watching hoping for a lower price and it went up. Did a chat and got it lowered to the previous price.
  6. I've heard some parents who bought them earlier in the year for birthday gifts say their kids only played with them for a week or so. Might be more hype than fun. Lots said once it hatched the excitement was gone.
  7. Since Black Friday moved to Thursday I'm hoping the newspapers catch up and put the ad in Sunday.
  8. After Thanksgiving. I'm tempted to do it this weekend though. I have some Thanksgiving decorations up so I want to wait since everyone is coming here. We have tickets to see Straight No Chaser the Saturday following Thanksgiving. With Black Friday plus a meal in there I'm not sure there will be much time that weekend to put it up. Maybe that Monday the 28th.
  9. Is there one that can vacuum and mop with one unit?
  10. I heard through the grapevine that it's a lot of the same stuff from previous years.
  11. My package arrived today. [emoji847] http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161112/e9b24f968603667c00f93c60056e9182.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I went to Game Stop this morning to stand in line. Thought I'd get one because as I was walking up there wasn't a huge line. Sign on the door said they only had 7 and there were already 7 inline. Went to Best Buy and they were handing out tickets. They had 26 and I got #26 at 9:15. For the next 45 minutes people kept coming and turning away. I heard Target only had 4 and Walmart 12. I feel very lucky to have one. Hopefully my husband appreciated it lol.
  13. First stop was Game Stop but they only had 7 and there were 7 people in line. Someone there told me Best Buy was handing out tickets so I went there. Best Buy had 26 and I got the last ticket. I heard from others in line there that Walmart and Target only got a few. Walmart sold theirs at midnight and people waited hours in line at Target only to be told they had 4.
  14. I think I miss that the most. When it wasn't so popular.
  15. I prefer the old way of getting in line at 2am and shopping on Friday. In recent years I've done most my shopping online though.
  16. Do you think a second controller will be needed? Can 2 people play any of the games together?
  17. I think this will be a hot item. I wish it was priced a little less and came with 2 controllers but I think a lot will play it a holiday get togethers.
  18. I've been searching for new toys/gifts and haven't found much. Looks like video games and movies will be at the top of the list here.
  19. No one started this thread yet so I thought I would. [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. It's a no bake pie and my husbands favorite. I don't care for it. The recipe is on the back of the graham cracker crust package. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  22. I put the tree up on Monday. Just finished decorating it tonight. I ordered a new tree topper and that should arrive next week. This is the earliest it's ever gone up. We decided to do a theme tree this year for the first time. We picked up all new red and silver ornaments from Menards for really decent prices. Only have red and white lights on it also. I wish I would have put more lights on it but to late to change that now. I'd like to work on changing the stuff in the curio cabinet over to Christmas over the weekend.
  23. We went this past weekend. Left on Friday AM. Headed south through Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, then to Michigan. Even though I started looking for a hotel a while ago and made reservations last month we had to stay in Bridgeport because so many were full! Before we let I renewed my SiriusXM subscription so we listened to Christmas music the entire trip (except for a few hours on Sunday for football). First stop was the outlet mall in Birch Run. We have 3 outlet malls within a couple hours of us here so we just went in the ones we didn't have. Stocked up at the Pepperidge Farm store. We had supper at Tony's restaurant. Such large portions! Drove through Bronner's at night so we could see everything lit up. Saturday we got to Bronner's by 10:30 and it was getting a little busy already. I believe they opened at 10:00. We took our time and looked through the entire store. Stopped for a snack of milk and Christmas cookies. Some of the ornaments are soooo expensive. We spent about $350 which is way under what we thought we would have spent lol! By the time we left the store was packed full. They said they get 50,000 people over the Thanksgiving weekend. We had a late lunch / early supper at the Bavarian Inn. Very busy place. No reservations before 4:00 so we had to stand in line for over 30 minutes before being seated. Food was ok. Coming back to this thread I see some mentioned Zehnder's, I wonder if they would have been better? There was horse and carriage rides being offered outside the restaurant so we did that. $50 for 4 people and we spent a lot of time in parking lots. Stopped at the clock store (forgot name) and I was very temped to buy a cuckoo clock but we have plans on moving next year and I worry about it being damaged. I do want a really nice one in the future. Also picked up some fudge/candy. Continued heading north in Michigan our trip, we wanted to the Mackinac Bridge. Spent the night in Mackinaw City then drove home through upper Michigan Sunday. Lots of driving to do a trip around Lake Michigan and lots of walking at our stops. We are glad we went and the kids had fun too.
  24. We rearranged the living room and bought all new ornaments/decorations for the tree. I want to try a red and white theme this year. We had to order the lights I wanted though. So hopefully the tree will be ready next week.
  25. My husband has this week off. I'd like to work on rearranging the living room to accommodate a tree.
