Ok it's October and I am ready for the 1st ad to drop

Already started decorating the inside for Fall/Halloween. Will decorate the outside this weekend for Fall/Halloween. We will switch out the Halloween decorations for Thanksgiving decorations inside/out the first few days in Nov, it all depends on the weather for the outside decorations. For Christmas - we take down all the fall/Thanksgiving decorations the Friday/Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend and the put up the Christmas decorations inside/out the same weekend.

With all the supply issues we have been shopping for more gifts earlier and also shopping from local vendors. By the time BF sales roll around I may not need to get much.

Unfortunately not everyone has the credit to get a loan and with layaway there is no interest involved.

I have noticed a lot of empty shelves in the big box stores and in the local grocery stores over the past several weeks. Time to revise my shopping patterns .. going to start picking up more staples with each weekly shopping trip. Already started stocking upon flour, sugar and other baking supplies.

Hard to believe how fast the month is flying by

Really no set budget since we shop all year and have already picked up several gifts. We also put money into a Christmas club all year so we will get that check soon.

This was on our local news this morning, talking about empty shelves and shortages this holiday season. They said the same thing, start your shopping early and if you see a must have item on your list get it then and don't wait for a sale since it may sellout before you an get it.

Happy September 1st! Rain and thunderstorms all day today. Once IDa moves through temps are suppose to be nicer. Saw some days with highs only in the 70s

That's really not good. Thankfully I started picking a couple gifts here and there but I think I may have to increase that pace.

So glad my kids are older. I only need to worry about toys for a niece and nephew, the rest of the nieces are older too. The only down fall is that my DH loves and collects Transformers so I guess I need to get his early this year.

Oh I would much rather have the snow than all the rain we have been getting. At least the snow makes it look pretty, the rain makes it look muddy LOL
