Summer may have just started but I am over this heat, humidity, bugs and weeds already. Ready for Fall

YAY!!! Half way to BF!!! Going to take advantage of Targets 50% select toy sale this week and snags some toys for for the grandbaby for Christmas!

Almost half way back to black friday!

I think mother nature is off her rocker. Yesterday in a span of 20 minutes we went from sunny, to rain with big fat rain drops that quickly switched over to sleet and then snow before switching back over to rain and then sun again. Plus we are expected to hit 80s this weekend.

Ok this month needs to slow down, I still have too much to do before Christmas LOL

We went to 2 different stores to get papers but walked out with out buying any. Hardly any ads in them.

Snagged 2 sets of sheets, cuddl dud comforter, joggers and of course a throw blanket. Most of them are gifts including the throw blanket lol.

Like everyone else I blinded myself when I got mine. I left mine in my car and my hubby found it ... I did not warn him about it and he blinded himself too LOL

We were in Walmart over the weekend and noticed a lot of people buying trees, we bought some new lights. Normally they have most of their Christmas stuff out but they don't even have half out yet. Even the amount of the Fall and Halloween decorations etc is a lot less than normal. Lots of empty areas in the toys section too.

I agree .. they were always the reason we went and there most times we would always wind up buying something while we were there too. I also miss Toys R' Us and Kmart.

Favorite traditions ... Early on Thanksgiving day we would give the ads to the kids along with markers and have them mark what they they wanted. After Thanksgiving dinner I along with DH, SIL and MIL would sit around the dinning room table and go through the ads one final time and finalizing the shopping lists taking into count the items the kids marked off. Sleeping for a few hours and then getting up between 2 and 3 am, going to get coffee and then wait in line at Walmart to kick off a day of BF shopping. How I miss those days especially now that my MIL is no longer with us.

Our store had turkeys out in the display cases this past weekend but the cases were barely half full.

Ok it's October and I am ready for the 1st ad to drop

Already started decorating the inside for Fall/Halloween. Will decorate the outside this weekend for Fall/Halloween. We will switch out the Halloween decorations for Thanksgiving decorations inside/out the first few days in Nov, it all depends on the weather for the outside decorations. For Christmas - we take down all the fall/Thanksgiving decorations the Friday/Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend and the put up the Christmas decorations inside/out the same weekend.

With all the supply issues we have been shopping for more gifts earlier and also shopping from local vendors. By the time BF sales roll around I may not need to get much.

Unfortunately not everyone has the credit to get a loan and with layaway there is no interest involved.

I have noticed a lot of empty shelves in the big box stores and in the local grocery stores over the past several weeks. Time to revise my shopping patterns .. going to start picking up more staples with each weekly shopping trip. Already started stocking upon flour, sugar and other baking supplies.
