Yup, we have spent so much less on BF items from Walmart this year. Very disappointed in their sales and lack of selections.

Miss the old BF shopping .. getting the ads, planning out your shopping trip, waiting in line and just having fun. This Black November way of doing things sucks. Sales not that great and the advertising (in some stores .. the LACK of advertising) is the worst.

Agree for the most part except that I think this ad sucks worse than ever

We will be out shopping Friday but I do not see it being a long shopping trip. Not to much on sale BF that we want or need to get. We are already more than 1/2 way done shopping now. Sales seem a bit dull and disappointing this year.

Went into our local walmart last night and picked up some DVDs that were on sale. I was disappointed with the limited selection of DVDs on sale. Through out the store they had so much stuff left from this 2nd sale and some stuff left over from the 1st sale.

I am wondering if this new format is going to backfire for them. While I have bought a few things it has been nothing like I have spent in the past. I have been in 3 different Walmarts in the past 2 weeks and they still have pallets of sale items still in the aisles. Either people around here do not like this new format, it was not advertised enough or both. Several of my friends and family who are big BF shoppers have hardly bought anything from these early sales.

I am disappointed in the movie dvd selection or should I say the lack of selection. Hoping there will be on sale next week.

anyone know how good the FitRx SmartBell, Quick Select Adjustable Dumbbell, 5-52.5 Lb is? My DH has mentioned he wants to get an adjustable dumbbell.

Absolutely, it's tradition! 3. What one aspect of past Black Fridays would you like to see brought back? Early Morning opening times with door busters. Missing getting up early and heading out with our coffees and waiting in the lines. Also the free snow globes ... I miss those LOL

No real set budget as I have been shopping all year. We did tell the kids no big ticket items this year nor are we spending as much as we did in the past few years.

1. The Wheels on the car go round and round ... round and round ... round and round (you know you sang it LOL) 2. I told you they would not fit in the car and now we have to walk home carrying them 3. No ...no Pokemon movies here

I absolutely love to bake and give several family members tins of homemade cookies and breads every year. Might expand to add in fudge this year too. I have given bottles of home extracts (Vanilla, lemon and orange) along with jars of vanilla and lemon sugar in the past which were all well received.
