  1. Since we've had kids we open presents after breakfast. I'd never get them to eat if I let them open their presents first. (they're only 2 and 1/2) Once they get older it will probably be a different story. Chocolate gravy? I have never heard of that!!!! I'm a major chocoholic (sp?) but I really just can't imagine eating that on a biscuit. I can't knock it till I try it though, so maybe I'll make a batch this weekend! I'm sure my boys would think it's wonderful! :)
  2. I've had ours ready to send for a few weeks now, but I'm waiting till next week to send them out. I wanted to be sure no one would get it before Thanksgiving.
  3. I'm one of the people who shop all year round. I also keep a list of everyone I buy for and what my ideas for them are. I've usually got way more than enough gifts for everyone by the end of July, but I have absolutely NO self control and will continue to shop all of the sales. When I drag up everything to wrap it, it looks like my house exploded. It's amazing how when it's written down on paper it doesn't really seem all that out of control, but when it's sitting in front of you....uh oh!! lol:cheesy:
  4. I have to agree with your husband. It doesn't matter. Don't feel guilty about it! BE PROUD!!!! :)
  5. My dad is hard to buy for too. In fact, I can say that about my husband, father in law and brother in law too! AARRGGH!!! Anyway.....what about a gift basket of some of his favorite snacks or some different foods that he may like? Then maybe you could stick a gift card in with that and he wouldn't really know the entire value.
  6. I LOVE Aramis! It's kind of different, but very nice.
  7. Our local Wal-mart has it for 14.97. I haven't seen it in stores any cheaper than that. If you happen to have a credit card with just your name on it you could try to register with family video and get the deal again. Just a thought :)
  8. Does he have a nice jewelry box for his jewelry? Would he like something like that? You can usually get a decent deal on one and if it's good enough you could put a chain in it as a bonus :) I'm doing this for my husband this year except I'm putting a stainless steel bracelet in it. He has a couple, but really likes them, so I found one that's a little different.
  9. We got my boys black and decker screw drivers at Toys R Us. They have different bits or whatever those things are that fit into it and you push a button and it makes noise. I think it lights up and rotates too. It looks just like one of those battery operated screwdrivers their daddy has. One of my two year olds (they'll be 3 in March)REALLY loves this kind of stuff and I think it will be a HUGE hit. It's ages 3 and up and best of all it was only $9.99.
  10. These are pretty cute. I picked up two for my boys. I also got the electric gas pump that was on sale for $14.99. Thanks for posting this!! :)
  11. Yes! I love this!! I spend way too much on our kids too, but this is my new motto!! I find SO many good deals that lots of their stuff just isn't going to count!!!!
  12. amyers it's no wonder the in-laws are your least favorite part of the holidays!!!!! My least favorite is putting all the decorations away and I HATE HATE HATE wrapping presents!!! I've started buying lots of neat little tins and boxes and stuffing what I can into those and just putting some nice ribbons on them and calling it done. Of course for my kids (2 years old) I have to do wrapping and I also could kick myself for buying WAY too much!!
  13. Is your daughter completely potty trained? If she's in pull-ups at all they have the codes in those packages now too.
  14. If you got any of those bath and body work coupons you could get some of that stuff and make your own little baskets for some of the womens prizes.
  15. Thank you! My little ones love this place! Too bad I didn't notice this sooner. My parents took my boys there last week. Oh well...now we have an excuse to go back sooner :)
  16. Well...maybe you could make her a gift basket full of fun little things. Does she like to read at all? If so you could put a book in it, or a subscription to a magazine she likes. Bath and Body works has WONDERFUL socks right now for $5 that I can't imagine anyone not liking. You could get her one of those little pottery container things (yeah, I know..not real helpful there!) and put some money in it for her next flea market adventure. (I love flea markets myself and know I would love having extra cash to spend at the next one)
  17. Personally, I'm not sure I would want baby related stuff for Christmas. The massage and the coupon book for babysitting sounds great, but I would save the other stuff for her baby shower or as a gift for when the baby is born. Maybe it's just me! :)
  18. I think MandaJo111 had a great suggestion. That would be perfect for a single guy. Maybe along with restaurant gift cards you could do one or two to a couple local automotive shops since he's a mechanic.
  19. Is there a certain shop she buys some of her coins? If so maybe you could get her a gift card from there.
  20. My Target finds today were a nice, big hobo bag/purse originally $22.99 marked down to $16.08, but when I scanned it it was $5.74! Yeah! :) I also found 5 polo shirts for my husband and dad marked down to $3.74. I found a pj top for $2.24 and pj pants for $2.98 for my teenage niece. By the way, those of you out there who said you had twins....can you send me ideas on how to get them to go to sleep!?!?! We've been having issues! (you can pm me) Thanks!
  21. Thanks guys! I'll have to check it out sometime. I like going over to Polaris!!
  22. Is Costco kind of like Sam's club? Where in Columbus will it be? Any idea? We live in Bellefontaine, but we're in Columbus a lot.
  23. After reading about all the great deals everyone else has found I decided to hit Target. I hadn't been there to scope out the clearance for quite awhile. I didn't really find a ton, but I did manage to find a few deals. I found 3 shirts marked down 75%. They were marked down to $3.74. I also found 2 different sets of magnetic stamps by making memories. Each set has 42 stamps and a nice little tin case to hold them in. They were originally $14.99 and were marked down to $3.76. I'm a stampaholic so I was quite pleased by that deal!!! :) They also had some really cute little wooden trains and cars in the $1 bins. My two year old twins loved them. That's all I found this time. I'm planning on hitting a couple different Targets on Monday! :)
  24. A locket would be nice if you could find a picture of you and her together to put in it. You can usually get a nice one fairly inexpensive.
  25. I almost bought two pedal tractors at an Amish store in our area at the end of last week. They were marked down to $70 and I thought that was pretty good. I'm glad I waited though!! The tractors I saw were the same, but didn't have the trailors with them. I have twin boys who will turn three in March and this will make a great birthday present!!! They will love them! Thanks for the post Firemansgal311!
