I agree. There are a ton of people who do wait till the last minute, so if this is true it will be great for them. Then there are people like me who just can't seem to pass up a deal whether I'm done shopping or not. If they do it, I'll go just to see if I can find anything I can't live without There are always birthdays and other stuff coming up.

I used to work for a dentist who was also one of those guys who pretty much bought what he wanted and was hard to buy for. One year we got him a gift certificate to get his car detailed. His car was always a mess. He seemed to like it.

This is the first year we've actually had a good mail carrier. Actually, she's great. I had the same problems with our last carrier hanging heavy bags on the plastic flag and called the post office numerous times complaining. She would even hang boxes of books on there! Our flag broke a lot and packages always ended up in the ditch!!!!!!!! Anyway, I never got her anything, but will definately buy something for our new carrier. I think I'll probably give her a pair of those soft socks from bath and body works as well as a bottle of lotion and body wash. I may make up a nice package of cookies for her too.

They should as long as you have the ad paper with you.

I saw something on amazon that is gummy bear flavored lipgloss. (called My Lip Stuff) Is there any chance at all that's what she's talking about?

I'm sorry to hear people got hurt in your store. Some people are just completely rude and inconsiderate of others just so they can get a "deal". Fortunately our Wal-mart did have security. They were even still hanging around there around 630am.

Oh man! I feel for you!! I have a couple little destructive boys (they're almost 3)myself and that sounds just like something they would do. No matter how safe something is they will find a way to get to it!!! I'm just happy for you that it still works!!!

Wal-mart didn't have a ton of great deals, but they did have a few things on sale in the weeks before BF. (the seasons of Gilmore Girls, Friends, etc for 14.99 and the laptop) If they had saved those things then maybe people wouldn't have been so unhappy with the BF ads. Generally, no place ever has enough of the blitz items to keep everyone satisfied. I agree with musiang about if people would stop going and buying up everything to sell on ebay, the rest of us might actually have half a chance. And besides, finding your deals on BF is part of the fun. You can't win them all. Granted, it's awesome when you do!!!!

I went into our TSC around 7am. I had wanted to get those ertl tractors that were on sale for $9.93. (half price) My boys are 2 and really love tractors, so this was a great deal for me. They had tons of them, but there were several people in there who had 10. (the limit) I just wish they had had more of their farm toys on sale.

My guess is that people went in there and bought a bunch of stuff whether they really needed/wanted it or not because they got caught up in the hype of black Friday. Then as the day progressed and they spent more and more other places they decided they should return some stuff. Maybe not, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

I think that's fair to RealLivePrinces. It's not like the associates are getting everything before everyone else. And that gives the associates a chance too. Since they have to work and deal with all the black friday madness they should get a little bit of a benefit. I don't know about the first post, where employees AND friends get to go in the night before. That seems pretty unfair.

I don't think you did anything wrong either. If it's the same item, just in a different box, they should have ALL been $10! I think you did the SMART thing!!! :)

Before I even got pregnant my husband and I decided that we would stay home Christmas morning. So now, we go to either my parents or his parents Christmas eve and do the other Christmas evening. Or, they can come to our house. Every year, it's been a little different, but we won't back down from being home Christmas morning. I want the kids to have time to enjoy their new stuff and I want time to enjoy the kids. It's worked out great.

Do they have any pictures of them when they were dating and when they first got married? For my in-laws 50th anniversary I gathered some pics from my husband and his sister and a couple others and made a photo collage. I found a really great frame at Kohls that had a big place in the middle for a 5x7 picture and then around that there was space to put more pictures in if you wanted to. (it was like frame, then glass, then the 5x7 frame, if that makes any sense) They loved it and you really can't get too much more personal than that. Maybe you could do something like that and make it the main thing in the basket and then add some filler stuff around that. (like the towels, etc) Just a thought :)

My husband has no clue either. Honestly, neither do I. I shop all year round and I've never thought enough about it to keep a tally. My husband knows I'm a bargain shopper and I refuse to pay full price for anything, so I think that eases his mind enough to leave me alone!! That and the fact that it's keeping him from having to do it!

I want to get that Cars one too. I just want the tin to store my boys hotwheels in. I'd also like to find one with tractors on it to store all of their little die cast tractors in. Maybe TSC would have something like that. As far as the popcorn goes....I don't think it's all that hot, but my husband and kids will eat it. What they don't eat our dog would LOVE to have!!

Call me Scrooge, but for the past couple of years I have hardly even listened to any Christmas music. When I hear it in the store it just makes me crazy. I can't figure out why!! I used to listen to lots of it and have tons of cds, but it's just made me insane!! Maybe it's because they start playing a lot of it right after Halloween!
