  1. look around for a local floral supply store. Ours only requires a business license to get a card--which are easy to obatin at city hall. For a small fee for the business liscense (service business helping businesses stage events), I was able to buy all kinds of things a big discount. Congratulations! Tommya
  2. I have a Whirlpool, no problems--it's about 7 years old. The one at my parent's house is older, and still going strong---but it doesn't get used as much. Quiet, I can get a lot in the dishwasher, and I like the way the top rack adjusts. The silverware on the door is convenient, too. Good Luck!
  3. DH uses a cutting board and a kitchen knife. We just don't like it from a blender, food processor, etc. And it seems faster anyway...Chop everthing, mix in a ziploc container and refrigerate for a while for the flavors to blend.
  4. I saw them at Macy's in the Juniors shoe area.
  5. Well, I live in California, so no direct experience, but I know family members have bought them from Lands End.
  6. Ralphs Grocery Store has the Bics on sale for a dollar. I got two packs for free with the coupon, so if you don't have CVS, try Ralphs!
  7. THANKS! I ordered a variety of items--for myself and some stocking stuffers for DD (mini lipgloss cell phone charms, they put them on their backpacks). What a great deal.
  8. Thanks, this is such a great site....so much easier to shop for DD, 13 on the computer!
  9. I found great scrapbooking paper--caradstock, some double sided, 12 sheets for .98 They were mixed in with the regular scrapbook paper, some hanging, some on a rack. They had several colors left. I'll go back Wed to check the toys, nothing else caught my eye!
  10. If anyone is looking for the train table, check the patio clearance area, they had two of them in our Target today, for 75% off. I wish I knew someone who could use one! Patio is 75% as is the childern's garden area...didn't check toys.
  11. My nephew has had a loft bed since he was 5 and has never fallen out of it--and if someone was going to figure out how to fall out, he would :-) It does free up a lot of floor space in his room, as an added bonus. Personally, I'd get a white headboard/footboard and add the decals or fabric panels as someone suggested. It makes it a lot easier to change things when they grow out of the "princess" stage. I saw some great "party scene" wall art at our local party store, and they inexpensive. If DD was still doing Pooh, I would have bought a set. (She has had the same furniture since she was a baby, I just change the bedding to match her mood. She just turned 13, and it's "beachy" right now.) Good Luck!
  12. Be careful with the inexpensive spiral notebooks--read the cover to check the paper size. Our elementary and middle school wants 8 1/2 by 11 inch size, many of the less expensive are smaller paper, the kids can't use them (They staple full size sheets in--especially lab stuff in science). I ended up donating a bunch of them to the church for the Sunday School program....more flexible on size!
  13. Just a general thanks for posting deals everyone! Yesterday was DD's 13th birthday, and when I looked at what we gave her (she's an only child, and we tend to over buy for her), I realized with the exception of two items (one requested by her and a math software program covering algebra and geometry--wierd, but she loves that stuff), everything came from Target clearance! Soooo THANKS! (PS Our target Patio stuff is still 50%--Orange County, CA)
  14. I picked up some Dry Erase makers at Micheal's craft store recently, they were the mini-size ones, but they were only a dollar for two.
  15. See if your local Home Depot or Lowes is running a "special"--my neighbor was remodeling his house, and he bought a LOT of material when they ran a special for new credit card users--everything he bought in a specific period of time was an extra 15% off. It was a great deal for him!
  16. depending on what you are looking for, www.memorymiser.com can be a great place to shop. And I love creativexpress.com, especially when they have a clearance sale. Enjoy!
  17. Depending on where you live, sample sales and warehouse sales can be a great place to shop. Just be prepared for limited or no amenities (ie group dressing rooms, if any). DD and I hit the Paul Frank warehouse sale and bought 15 items for about $100--really cute and it fits her! (she's 5'4" and weighs maybe 90 lbs). I like the Line Up for Spot/Weekend Traffic stuff for casual, so I goggled them, the warehouse is about 4 miles from my house--and the prices are great. I've got to goggle a few more manufacturers to see who else might be in the area :-). I also do Clearance racks, TJ's and Ross....and of course, Gottadeal for those extra sales!
  18. Stoped by Target for a few things for DD to take White Water Rafting, and found some great women's clearance....including really nice linen skirts marked down to $4.98. I bought two, one Khaki and one balck and white print, shorts for DD were $5.98--drawstring bermudas (which are long enough and we can cinch in the waist, abig find for us). They also had some swim suits on clearance.
  19. Thanks for the information on the candy, picked up a bunch for the "movies, popcorn and more" basket a friend us putting together. I also found some Goody hair items discounted about 50%. Lots of a variety. The Pixel chicks toys were being marked down as I was there, I can't remember the price, and a few additional mark downs in electronics. I picked up a shower mp3 station for DD's birthday for $7.49. That's about it.
  20. Thanks to the OP---six beach towels and flip flops are on there way...and that much less Christmas shopping to do....yeah!
  21. My DH loves the ones from Costco...which really surprized me as he's usually very finicky. I don't know if they are wrinkle resistent...
  22. Our local scrapbook store has them...The Red Bee in Southern California.... Good Luck! Tommya
  23. Our JoAnne Fabrics has some nice looking patio chairs and tables in right now. And they usually have a 40% off coupon in thier Sunday ad--round up a couple of ads and you could get a great deal. At both the local stores they will let me use multiple coupons--depending on if the manager is around they may ring each coupon order separately, but I've never had a problem,
  24. Oh, I forgot to mention some Walmarts have the Cricut for $169...not as good as M's on sale, but immediate avaliability!
  25. I have a Cricut and LOVE IT. The wishblade is very different, you must hook it up to your computer and it has some significant learning curves before you can cut on it. For deal information try the cricut message board at www.cricut.com in general chat I know Micheal's had them last week for $139, and is having a sale on a bunch of the cartridges this coming week. ACMoore and Hobby Lobby have also had them on sale recently. There are a couple of cricut yahoo groups, they sometimes list the "deal" information as well. Good Luck--it's so easy and soooo much fun!
