They have some at Target this week for $32. I love mine... Tommya -
We live in the area, so I don't know about travel packages. I can tell you that a great place for lunch is the Golden Horseshoe Revue. You can get very generous portions of chicken fingers and fries, we split 2 orders between 3 of us (2 adults and 1 12 yr old). There are sandwiches avalaible at the Main Street Bakery, which is often overlooked as well. Have Fun! Tommya

PacSun additional 70% off clearance prices
trbarginhunter replied to lynnb's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Went to the Pac Sun here in Orange County CA, just a regular store in the mall and had a great time--Billabong jeans, Roxy skirt, 2 tees, a wallet and seven pairs of earrings for $58...and a $25 card for the next trip. Added up the original prices: $162.50! My daughter is so happy, and the jeans are 00 so they fit! Thanks for posting this! -
My daughter loves these--she is 12. They are great stress release for her, and she just plain has fun on the site. Thanks for the heads up on the expiration...I guess Santa will bring another next year.

Keep in mind that we live in Southern California--so for DD, 12, a swimsuit, banana boat spf 45 , a few "girly girl" items like nail polish (from Target after Christmas sale), some socks (super clearance at Old Navy--thanks Gottadeal!) Candy baskets are from my Dad for all 3 grandkids (I buy, he pays). Easter egg hunt prizes are now tickets, redemable at the end for a Target gift card (there's just the 3 kids, and one older cousin who keeps it all under control--he gets itunes as a thank you).

Both DH and I have used this site...easy to use, good prices, nice jewelry. One of SH's clients is a goldsmith, he was really impressed with the quality and workmanship of the bracelet DH bought me (I happened to be wearing it when he came into the office). That made be feel even better about the site :-)

THANKS! Our DD is 12, and needs a 00 or 0 (depends on the length). Right now she doesn't care much, but someday she will appreciate those looooong legs of hers. And the fact that I didn't let her run around looking like she was waiting for a flood.....

Regular size Stroller (not umbrella type)
trbarginhunter replied to davephillyj's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Target has some of their baby items on clearance. They may not be sale priced on the stickers/shelves so scan the one or ones you might want. -
My sister taught me to make my own. Black trash bag, put in the items to be stored. Insert vacum cleaner hose to remove air. Quickly tie in a knot. Works like a charm for bedding, blankets and stuffed toys (I store the seasonal decorative ones). I haven't tried it on smaller items.

I don't know if it's one time or you can go back...worth a try, or print two and get someone to go with you to make the second purchase. -
Cinderella II: Dreams Do Come True
trbarginhunter replied to becca0884's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Check the local video rental place--our Hollywood Video sometimes has the movies for sale (previously viewed, but still great) for sale. -
In our area, some of the childern's consignment shops (Childern's Orchard, etc) have a materinty clothes department. Might be worth a call.

Shawna Try this link, it should work: http://www.joann-mail.com/J0508y1f/coupons_only.html?r=0509734117 50% off for four days starting Sunday. Enjoy! -
The same company makes a "knock off" that they sell at Target for much less, sorry I can't remember the name. In our Target they are over with the socks, not with the lingerie. HTH

Check Marshall's and T J Maxx--they have them from time to time and the price is sooo cheap. Also Nordstrom's Rack if there is one near you. If First Communion is after Easter, some stores carry white dresses for Easter that they then discount. (Here First Communion is end of May/first part of June).

I love the Scholastic sales, and spend waaay too much money--but I wouldn't go there for the learning cursive type books. They might have them, they might not. If you need them asap, do a search for teacher's supply store and see what you find. DD loved those stores when she was in elementary grades--it was an easy way to supplement the classroom learning, especially in areas of particular interest for her.

I need help with Baby gift...
trbarginhunter replied to amshal3's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
My favorite (and best received) baby gifts have been scrapbooks and "take out" gift certificates--it's huge to have a free meal that can be picked up. I also include a little something for the older child, when there is an older child. Colored pencils and a tablet of paper are a big hit with childern and parents--and a 3 ring binder to save the pictures (kids love it) (crayons melt in the car--and I learned the hard way), an easy reader book, hair ribbons, just any little thing. -
Book recommendations for 9yo girl
trbarginhunter replied to Linbil5987's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Our daughter enjoyed the American Girl History Mystery series. And I'd try the Nancy Drew..you never know! -
We used our Entertainment Book coupons for a rental car in Florida last summer--we only rented the car for a day, but we saved a lot of money. The whole rental came to $42. We needed to get from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami, and it worked out to be the best way to go--inexpensive, no schedules and somewhere to put the luggage. We used one company on arrival, and a different company for departure, so we could use more than one coupon, and saved a bundle.

DH ordered his glasses from Costco and saved over $100 (it's 5:30 am here and he's sleeping so I can't ask him the exact amount). Great glasses, no problems. My Dad just ordered his, also with huge savings--but it's only been a couple of days, so he hasn't received them yet. I know a few other people who have used Costco Optical, all with no complaints.

Scholastic Book Fair Warehouse Clearance
trbarginhunter replied to dpape's topic in Offline Hot Deals
Scholastic does not seem to care too much who is at these sales. I was a book fair volunteer when our daughter was in elementary school, but in middle school we do not have book fairs....but I still receive emails and postcards from Scholastic...and I still spend a LOT of money at their sales. Although I have never taken our daughter to the sale (it just hasn't worked that way) I would recommend a jacket (that warehouse is cold) and some hand wipes (it's really dusty) for the kids. Most parents I see with kids also bring "clean snacks" nothing chocolate, etc. No one seems to mind the kids, although I think the parents end up buying even more books! Don't forget to check for Klutz kits (great b-day gifts), cook books (again great gifts), and small items for goodie bags and stocking stuffers. I will say to watch what software you buy--check the operating systems. A friend bought some software that was significantly out of date and caused a lot of computer problems. (Sorry--not a techie type and I don't know the details). Enjoy the Sale!
