  1. mmmmm.... i wouldn't mind receiving that delivery!
  2. Ditto that, Edbingo... I can't even see DH finding anything in the ad to send me there for first. I think it will be Meijer followed by Michaels to start for me - at least as of right now.
  3. How about a night in basket? You could get the ingredients together for a good family dinner (like spaghetti and the fixings) and add a movie or board game for all to enjoy. You could do snacks too instead of a dinner, or a gift card to a local restaurant.
  4. I am so ready to go! Great job eve!
  5. We have community boxes here as well, and occasionally I will see the carrier but not often. Besides, there is no place for me to leave a gift nor do I have the time to sit and wait (and guess) when she is coming. However, if I had my own mailbox I would as my grandma used to do it for her mailman :)
  6. I can't get my cookie exchange list file to open for the life of me...
  7. We have 24 hr Christmas music here too. It put us all in the holiday spirit :)
  8. Along that line, I think samples of those recipes should be mailed for judging!
  9. I entered for Detroit! Don't care if I have to drive all the way there and told them so (I'm close to Lansing)... Will I be chosen as VIP? Not likely but certainly worth a try seeing how DH always has a nice little laundry list of things for me to try and get from there
  10. There was not a book in my paper and i'm beyond mad I'll have to try and get one when I go to town tomorrow...
  11. They're called chenille stems and my DD loves them!

I agree with mgmckny, but if you still want to look for something personalized try bronners.com. I just saw the print catalog for this year and there are a lot of very nice ornaments in it. Also, ornaments are personalized by hand which makes them more personal. I intend on going to their store come BF weekend to do some shopping myself! :)
  13. and my guess will be Target :)
  14. Why not turn this into a t-shirt contest... first one to guess the store correctly gets a shirt (if they haven't already won one)...
  15. I'm GR native and still go there to shop... if you really want something better plan to have your turkey dinner at BB, doesn't matter whether you're going to Grandville, GR or Comstock Park store it's all the same. Get there by noon on Turkey Day. And for Lusha, you are thinking of the Grandville WalMart where people were being trampled. All over the news all over the country... glad I wasn't in that line! In fact I still have the article I clipped from the Press...
  16. Yes, yes and yes! After all it's only a month away...
  17. it IS almost that time isn't it? :) Completely forgot... I'm eager to start too.
  18. just ask for delivery confirmation :) and you can use whatever box you want (it's usually cheaper), but if it's a heavier item that would be able to fit in a flat rate I would ask to have it weighed first in order to compare prices... flat rate might end up being cheaper :)
  19. I don't think anyone will complain with your explanation :)
  20. one by me has a bin at $5, and a huge bin of video games for most systems (including Wii) at $19.99 or less - fromwhat I can tell. Better believe I was digging through there....
  21. I would say anything for comfort - hat/glove set, scarf, slippers, homemade treats (cookies and hot cocoa), etc. Can't go wrong with GC for gas or groceries either :) Most importantly a homemade card with your (child's) appreciation... that's something that would go a long way and never gets old. That reminds me I need to add bus driver to the list....
  22. I am lucky to be a stay at home mom but I'm always thinking of people like you who have to work holidays. Know that you are appreciated :)
  23. Somewhere on here, in another thread, is a whole big list of stuffer ideas. I was asking for suggestions for kids in K and 1st grade specifically because I'm providing the goody bags for both my kids' classes (and a few extras) so it's going to be a total of 50 or so. Problem is, I can't find the list...
  24. I do it as well and have started the kids on it. They enjoy picking things out though when it comes time to put them in the collection bin they have a hard time giving them up They're a year older now, though, so they will better understand this year. Their absolute favorite thing, however, is begging me for coins to put in the kettles! :)
  25. I do them for my kids and DH but mine never gets filled Now I'll be filling one for my new nephew too... can't wait.
