I think Walmart already did their laptop deal- same thing they pulled last year. There may be a desktop in the secret sale like last year though.

I think that perhaps because the MIL behavior was so recent it will be hard to just put it aside or forgive so soon. I mean, maybe by next Thanksgiving it won't sting so much but right now the op is still very angry. But I do think maybe showing up before or after dinner (if the op must go) might be a way to do things. Maybe coffee and dessert. In any case, I'd certainly but the happiness of myself and my family foremost!

It's sad that your MIL acted this way and so much family is estranged. I don't blame you for being angry. If being around them will make you miserable, then I'd rethink going. There's not much worse than being miserable this time of year. The holidays should be a time for joy and you certainly have reason to be extra thankful this Thanksgiving. If you must go, try to focus on that. And look at it this way- at least your MIL doesn't live with you

I am so disappointed in Target. For some reason I expected more out of them. This was the first year I had really considered hitting Target 1st (because it's 30 mins away) but I was actually looking forward to the experience. Now I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I may end up doing most of my shopping at Amazon and the heck with it.

The 2 I got were taller table lamps, grayish shades and one was a darker bronze and the other lighter, both really skinny. The one my friend got was a shorter lamp and it was silver and bigger, I think her's had a white shade. I'll put it like this- I wouldn't pay $15 for it but for $0.10 it looks pretty good. I think this is good at all of them because the employees were getting some when I got there and checking them at the register but I could be wrong. And you might want to get there early, the employees were grabbing them too lol
