I was in DG this afternoon and the employees told me they had just received word that the table lamps (reg $15) were now $0.10! I got 2

Does anyone know if their prices are good online on BF too?

I really don't know what to say- TIIC of WM have lost it That's the whole point of ads- for customers to find the best deals. I've decided there's just too many other stores and online deals to mess with WM much anymore. I may pay $50 more for, say, a tv or computer this BF but I bet I get better customer service and the checkout won't be as long (since it seems they never have but 2 or 3 checkouts open at any one time) I think I'll email WM and tell them to save the money they're spending on printing a BF ad this year- they're gonna need it

I think it would serve WM good if we didn't buy from them this BF and did our business at those stores that aren't sue happy and actually want customers. How in the world they can think "leaked BF ad= excited potential customers" is a bad thing is beyond me. Eh, they probably don't want to tip off BB and Target on how bad their ad is again this year. This could actually work to our advantage- BB and Target put out the good ads, everyone else is waiting at WM for their "secret sales" and we at gottadeal get all the good stuff! Hopefully BB and Target, etc will see the error of WM's ways and not raise a fuss.

But they changed that after like week 2 and then they had drawings and then some of the stuff was still up for grabs. I got the big George Foreman grill for $20 shipped. If they have it again, just keep checking this site- the folks here were great with the updates!

I'm going to do both- it really all depends on the ads. But anything I REALLY want I'll be standing in line for. Even with broadband you can't be sure you'll get it online.

I think the reason most people wouldn't rush to get that ticketed item is because well, they have the ticket, so they can get other things and then go get that item. I know I would probably do the same thing. Why rush to get it when it should be there and I can get other stuff that's limited stock but no tickets were given out?

I asked about tickets yesterday and the head of electronics said they had tried to get them (I assume the manager but maybe they meant upper management) to do that and they refuse. I told that person that someone was going to get really hurt one day and they agreed but said there was nothing the employees could do. IMO I think WM believes if they do that and people know the big ticket items are gone, they'd leave and try another store.

Starting the week of Thanksgiving until Thanksgiving the next year, I save $20 a week. That gives me $1040 for BF and Christmas. I also do surveys, MyPoints, and the change jar so that adds several hundred more. That money combined with sales and coupon codes puts me in a good position for my shopping. If I can save more, I do but I ALWAYS put that $20 a week up so that at least my kids are taken care of for Christmas.

I wish WM would do that- BF05 was CRAZY b/c of the laptops! Someone is gonna get seriously hurt one of these days. Strangely though, no pushing and shoving last year *snort*

I just chat up the people around me in line- it's the best way to pass the time while protecting your own interests. I've found that making a few friends in line can really help about 10 mins before the doors open. :)

Most of the time by myself *sigh* No one understands it's the early bird that gets the worm!

I'm wearing my GD t-shirt and putting all essentials in the GD backpack! We never know how cold it will be on BF in NC but I'm sure I'll wear jeans and sneakers. Not sure I want to bother with a jacket though- bulk slows you down

I'm wondering if there really will be any "great" laptops deals on BF considering all the low prices now and considering how last year went. WM put theirs out like the week before and had nothing for BF. I'm putting my hopes online for laptaps on BF, although BB or CC will probably have something. I really want to get one for the kids' big present this year.

Anyone else get a rush when Gottadeal puts up the bf discussion boards?

I think there will be alot more online deals this year.

I want to get an exercise machine but I have no idea what to buy. What I'm looking for is to tone up a little- especially my lower body- but I'd like an "all-in-one" machine (frankly because I don't like to exercise and I know I wouldn't mess with a routine if I had to drag out 2 or 3 pieces of equipment). I've looked at several machines but it's kinda overwhelming. Any suggestions that won't kill my bank account?

I wonder how many glow sticks it would take to decorate a swim noodle or gift wrap cardboard- maybe 4 taped to each and let them turn out the lights and be real jedi's! You might also be able to get some decorations for a cake or cupcakes from the bakery section in Wal-Mart or your local grocery store if you can't find them any other way- mine always lets me buy just the decorations to make my own. Hmmm....I started signing up but stopped. They wanted a little too much info like the name of my bank and first/last of my kids etc. Just seemed weird compared to the other sites.

I'd look into buying a Dell- they usually have good deals and they last quite a while in my experience. ETA And most of the time you can refuse the monitor and such and lower the price plus get free upgrades. All depends what type of special they are running. I think the lowest priced computer you can't refuse the monitor but the rest you can. Just play around on the site and see what package you can put together for $500 or less :) (hopefully they'll have a special on s/h too)
