  1. I found these ($250 down to $105) http://www.shoes.com/ProductImages/shoes_iaec1269413.jpg ...and these ($250 down to $105)-- the inner sweater lining unbuttons and can be removed for a simple classic short black boot. http://a2.zassets.com/images/z/1/5/9/0/6/7/1590673-p-2x.jpg ...and these ($200 down to $84)-- like classic tall only with a side zipper (black) http://a2.zassets.com/images/z/1/1/7/1170753-3-2x.jpg Also had this style on sale (black): http://www.shoes.com/ProductImages/shoes_iaec1269409.jpg and this one...(brown) http://www.shoes.com/ProductImages/shoes_iaec1269408.jpg Overall some really nice prices and not just crazy colors either. Granted I wasn't looking for myself, which is the size that I'm convinced everyone in the world wears-- NINE! LOL Got some nice deals for my girls though. As their feet grow, it becomes harder to find older kids shoes for good prices (youths 4, 5, 6) so I look in adults during really good sales.
  2. Dillards started a 30% off sale today (for card members). Tomorrow for everyone, I assume. Some nice deals on Ugg boots for women. I shopped small sizes for my daughters (6s & 7s)... $250 boots for $105; $230 boots for $80.xx.
  3. I'd check the date on any christmas candy you buy from them next year! LOL Those bags might be back out along with the 2011 ornaments
  4. So, my 6yo had one special request for cmas... an Olivia 2-in-1 playset. A playhouse that switch-a-roos into a pirate ship starring Olivia the pig. As nutty as it sounds, I'm STILL working on a toy stash from years of shopping this blasted sale, but do still occasionally get requests that require me to-- (wait for it...) PAY. FULL. PRICE. FOR A TOY. Normally at age 6, she is totally happy with whatever Barbie, Pet Shop, Liv Doll, Zooble, etc., etc., I pull out for gifts. But, she was so intent on this house/ship. I didn't think it would be too hard to find, but it was. Only a couple of Targets had them around here before Christmas, and I got 1 of only 2 left at the beginning of December. Amazon even sold out; ebay was selling them for twice the price. Bullet bit. $30 spent. She loved it. I was perfectly happy to spend that on her given all the other great toy bargains that abound in my basement. I did not hold out any hope to find it cheaper. But low and behold last week, I found one for 30% off. $10 is $10, so I did the receipt switch out and presto, saved some cash. Yesterday, I stopped at the OP Super Target on my way to gym class (first thing in the a.m.) and happily fit my Target Toy Bonanza into a little hand held basket (I've come a long way from the overflowing cart of years past). And, yes, one of the things I found was the Olivia house on sale for $8.xx. So what I thought would be full price for her toy ended up to be 70% off in the end. I got a big eye roll from my bargain "hating" husband who never seems to think that my sale shopping makes any sense at all. I returned it this morning to the Mission Target store if anyone cares! (It might be shelved today.) )
  5. Annoying... perhaps, but then do you really think that bringing something up to the register that is scanning FULL price and asking Target to give it to you for 90% off is logical? There is soooo much that is packaged with something holiday"ish" (pumpkins, pilgrams, snowflakes or holly) that is not part of clearance. As much as we would all love it, if you give it some thought, it is a real long shot to get a cashier/manager that would take something down from full price to nearly free. Congrats to those who have luck with that. I personally would feel funny even asking.
  6. YES! Stanley (south OP), Oak Park and the Speedway all had coats at 70% off... girls at least. Didn't look at boys!
  7. Couldn't talk my 10 year old out of a PSP using her christmas money... so I had to head out to a Target quite far from me (Olathe SOUTH) to find one of only about 2 left in the city (at least at the Target stores). Guess Sony is bringing out a new hand held system soon, which sounds expensive ($250-$300) and not something that we would allow her to have. Thought we better get the old one while the getting was good! Not such a bad trip... scads of tape in the office aisle, which was nice because I didn't have all that much luck with tape in the stores around me. Aslo found some McGuiers (sp?) car care sets for my husband. They were marked to $9 down from $30. TONS of winter coats in the kids section. They were all marked to 50% off. Sad for retailers that stocked up on coats and boots to prepare for a snowy winter (like the past 2 years here). Now we have the "winter that wasn't". Even if we do suddenly get snow, it's soon time for retailers to to bring in spring stuff. I predict lots of good deals on coats and snow boots coming!
  8. ...and remember the days when there was so much wrapping paper left at 90% off? I am so glad I stockpiled because for the past 2 years there has barely been any left at 75% off. I know a lot of people use gift bags, but we still use wrapping for the kids' gifts under the tree. I didn't see any wrapping paper left anywhere when I popped into the cmas aisles this week.
  9. When I find something that I want to share a photo of, I always just go out to Amazon or do a general google search for the item-- can be too time consuming to take a photo, download it, etc, etc, -- at least for my lazy self; after you've found the item photo via your search, right click and select copy image URL; come back to here, click on the little icon up at the top of the quick reply box (it looks like it has a tree inside of it); paste the image URL into the pop up box and your done. I love seeing photos of things to look for.,.. makes it so much easier!
  10. This is totally off topic, but I had to run in to Walgreens t-nite and all their cmas candy is 75% off. LOTS to pick from.... make up that lost 5% that Target took away (of course WAGS is probably more expensive to begin with!) LOL
  11. Oh, and I found some of these just hanging out by the regular oreos in the cookie aisle. They ring up 89 cents and THEY ARE GOOD!! I guess these were the holiday oreos?? I wasn't familiar with the holiday oreo packaging, so I wasn't too sure. I scanned them to make sure before taking them up. They are packaged a bit differently than usual oreos. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51XKR759jiL._SL500_AA300_.jpg
  12. Don't remember seeing this posted... Cheap scissors (Scotch Precision) that (I guess) must be holiday. I have only found them in the regular aisle. Regularly $5; ringing at $1.50. If stores go to 90% tomorrow, you might find some REALLY cheap:) OH, but you MUST look for the added on sticker over the UPC. The UPC number is 51141 93884. There are some identical ones that have a different UPC. Those ring up $5. Colors I saw are red and teal only. If you want the DPCI... 081060028. Happy Hunting! http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41XdDDdHlgL._AA300_.jpg
  13. OMG, my first year.... and a good bet, my last!! What a mad house. If I hadn't invested so much time searching and bumping around for what I found, I would have left. I waited in line for 45 minutes to pay. UGH. I had 2 large sacks and hated to just put everything back! There was a man behind me, YES, A MAN, with just 6 small ornaments. I can't imagine what kind of drugs my husband would have to be taking to spend 45 minutes in line to pay for anything, let alone christmas ornaments. LOL (No offense to any gentlemen out there!!) I left after that. I couldn't bring myself to stand in line for even 5 more minutes.
  14. The more you shop target's holiday clearance, the more you realize that those aisles are a freaking mess during those periods. Stuff gets put where it shouldn't. They should be more careful, yes. But especially when it comes to food stuff, scanning first will save a lot of aggravation. Arguing with the checkout person may get you somewhere, but is the argument over a box of cookies really worth it? Maybe it is. If you have shopped Target's holiday clearance times for a while, you know that items are placed where they shouldn't be. I guess if you haven't shopped those sales for very long, then it can be much more aggravating.

  16. I was looking at my receipt from yesterday and it appears that the gift card items you buy 'roll over' from one week to the next. So, CVS tracks anything that you buy that is gift card eligible. There are 2 lines at the bottom of my receipt that says: Amount toward this reward and Amount needed to earn reward. I thought you had to buy your $30 worth of stuff in one transaction. That is really nice! I have $5.50 extra 'leftover' toward my buy $30 get a $10 card reward. Most probably already know this, but I thought I'd post in case someone doesn't. I appreciate it the way it rolls over from one week to the next. Now I don't have to struggle to find unneeded "fillers" to get to a card. I can just wait until next week's ad to see if there is something I actually want or need. HTH
  17. Okay, did my first gift card deal today. Been OUT of Diet Coke for a WEEK and really needed some. Our newspaper had coupons today on a big full page colored ad: 1 was for $5 off a $20 purchase and the other was $3 off 3 -12 packs of coke products. They aren't on sale, per say, this week, but they are part of the $30 giftcard promo. The ad price is $4 for each 12 pack-- waa hoo CVS, what a deal! Sorry for the sarcasm. Anyway, amazingly I found coke tearpads for $1 off 2- 12 packs. I was stunned. I never find coupons for DC. So, I bought 6 12 packs of diet coke for $24 along with 3 bags of hersheys kisses (also part of the giftcard deal this week). Had a BOGO coupon for the kisses along with a $1 off 3 for the kisses. Also used my 3 tearpad coupons for the DC. Plus, when I scanned my card to check for store coupons, it spit out a $5 beauty bucks thing that I guess I must have earned from buying shampoo and hair products for my husband/kids??? I had no idea THAT was coming cause I don't buy makeup at CVS. Before he started ringing my coupons, my total was $31.50. My final total was $12! And, I got a giftcard to CVS for $10. I told him that it was my first time doing the giftcard thing, and that I sure hoped it worked! He was very nice and patient and took all my coupons without any problems.
  18. Okay, so I don't have a clue how to find any deals on the Amazon site without spending a bunch of time just randomly searching (which I refuse to do); so as I'm taking a shower and realizing that we need more soap I think maybe they have soap cheap... so here is what I find when I did a search of Coast Soap; http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31NdQfV4SdL._SL500_AA300_.jpg Coast Arctic Surf Bath Soap for Refreshed Skin By Dial - 4 Oz/pack, 3 Packs List Price: $68.80 Price: $2.58 You Save: $66.22 (96%) In stock. Processing takes an additional 2 to 3 days for orders from this seller. Ships from and sold by AmericaRx. I'm completely skeptical and I'm sure that I will probably lose out on this deal-- if there is even a deal to lose out on; I just can't figure out what exactly is going to ship to me. The photo appears to show a 3 pack and the title says '4 oz packs, 3 packs'; so that's 9- 4 oz bars of soap, right?? Good deal for $2.58, BUT, the list price is $68.80?!! WTH?? Really, 9 bars of soap is originally $68? So in the product details, it shows "product weight of 14 lbs." how do 9 bars of soap weigh 14 lbs? PLUS, the "shipping weight" shows 2 lbs?!!?? I can't figure it out. I can't find a phone number to call. But when I do a google search of AmericaRx, they don't have very good reviews as a company. Do you think there someone at Amazon who could verify what exactly is for sale?
  19. I'm interested to know too. I thought that you had to buy $30 worth of stuff and more specifically all of it had to be 'gift card eligible'. Do tell if that's not the case. It's a cool promotion, but nothing makes me crabbier than wandering around CVS trying to figure out what overpriced item I "need" to make it worth my while to take advantage of their latest promotion/coupons. I've spent way too many minutes of my life plotting out my CVS trips to make sure that what I'm buying is something that A. is a good price and B. a purchase that can be used wisely to take advantage of xtra care bucks or coupons. It can be very worth it or just plain MADDENING!! LOL...
  20. Target has the 4 pack of $15 iTunes gift cards ($60 worth) on sale this week for $54. I used the gift card coupon on that without any problems. After my red card discount, that is about 30% off. (They don't charge tax on that item.) Last year, Walmart had $50 itunes cards for $35 a couple weeks before Christmas. This year however, I haven't seen itunes cards any cheaper than 20% off. I like having the $15 ones anyway... more options for small gifts (babysitters, kids' friends, stocking stuffers).
  21. Thank you so much. I think I'll pass. My husband practically crawls under the table if I bring out a coupon at a restaurant. I thought maybe they worked like gift cards, but if there are a lot of restrictions on what you can eat or how you can use it... not worth the husbandly hassle for me. LOL :) Thanks law and inluvstill for your answers to my questions though!
  22. Do you have to use the entire certificate in one outing? Or does it work like a giftcard where you use what you need? I'm so skeptical!! I know:)) I'm ready to order, but I just feel like there is a catch!! I mean $100 certificate for $8?? That's like the restaurant just handing you $92 cash to eat at their place? Has anyone ordered these before? I would just love a little more info on how they work if someone could be so kind :))
  23. Are there weird expiration dates on these or something? Almost appears too good to be true!!
  24. Do you have any of the Target mailers that came recently? I know just this morning, I realized that I needed another 10% off coupon and went to print it again; not on the Target site anymore! I thought I was out of luck, but then checked some of the Target magazine mailers that came and there is one in there. I don't think you are able to use Target coupons online though.
