I know what you mean. I have a tomboy who really doesn't care a lot about dolls, but she really wanted one since all her friends have one. She got one last Christmas and she really loves it. It's name is Gwen, but she calls it "American" ?? weird, I know. We've agreed that it's a special doll that should have a special spot in her room when she isn't being played with. Every once and awhile, my daughter gets really into playing with her for awhile and then puts her back. I know she'd love to take her out on her bike or swimming, but we had the long talk about how this particular doll needs to be cared for extra carefully. She takes her longtime pal Molly (an older Fisher Price doll that she's had since she was 2) with her if she wants to go outside. I guess I sort of see it as something that is a keepsake and she can look back on it and remark about what a big deal American Girl Dolls were when she was a kid.... The free shipping code is about as good as it gets with these dolls... at least that I've found. I'm not a real expert on them either though.

Clarification on Target's Price Matching Policy
KC-Traderbear replied to Sarasuzymama's topic in Offline Hot Deals
As sad as that is for us bargain shoppers, I can kind of see the reason for that rule. I mean the Target coupons are exclusive to Target and probably should be seen as an extension of a Target sale price. I dunno. Using a Target coupon with a price match seemed like double dipping to me. One thing's for sure, Target would've done big business had that continued! -
I got an e-mail with that one as well. I just ordered Monday (the 16th) with it. It's good on ANY order over $100, not just the Chrissa and friends dolls like the previous one. I had a doll all picked out for my daughter and was just waiting for a free shipping code to come my way :)

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2009
KC-Traderbear replied to Brad's topic in Offline Hot Deals
yes, I've already noticed that the endcaps are being cleared of clearance stuff to make way for the Black Friday stock. Some years, I've even seen clearance stuff go away for a bit during the busy shopping season and then come back later. Although, yesterday I did find some amazing deals on Wii/DS/PSP games. Ice Age was marked down from $50 to $12.50 (found 3) and those $10 off 2 coupons make the deal incredibly sweet. I am returning some of the titles I found during the B2G1 free sale a couple weeks ago, cause I found them even cheaper. -

Any Nintendo DS Experts out there?
KC-Traderbear replied to KC-Traderbear's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Okay, thanks everyone. I suppose the older model will stay the same price at least for awhile. How long has the new model even been out? Does anyone know?? -

Any Nintendo DS Experts out there?
KC-Traderbear replied to KC-Traderbear's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Thanks racerfan. Yes, the games we have are Gameboy advance games. I guess it comes down to whether I can find a DS Lite player a lot cheaper now that they newer model is out. If they slash the prices enough during the holiday shopping season, I might just go with the older one. That way she'd have a lot more games to access. We also have an almost 7 year old daughter and an almost 4 year old daughter, so I could hand these players down as they get older and become interested in handheld players like this too. In a couple years if/when my 8yo wants the one with the camera (or whatever latest model they come out with), I can pass the older model down to her sisters maybe?? What would you say is the cheapest price you've seen the older models (DS Lite) go for in the past? -
My 8 year old is asking for a Nintendo DS this Christmas. I don't know much about them, but from what I've gathered so far, it sounds like there is a new model out now... DSi that has a camera and online abilities. I just wondered if anyone would recommend the new model over the older style. We have access to some old Gameboy games from her cousins that would be nice to play, but from what I read on Amazon.com, you cannot use old Gameboy games with the new Nintendo DSi--only the older DS lite. Does anyone have experience with both the older style and the newer style? Anyone heard of any great deals available on the older DS Lites since there is a model change now? TIA!!

We have the $100 membership and make it a point to fill our cars with gas there. The money we get back in cash back rebate (especially when you include gas + Costco purchases) more than pays for the membership fee. I was skeptical, but I'm glad we got the higher level membership.

Hopefully they will give you the $9.99 price, however the ad stated that was only good from 10 a.m.- noon TODAY. However, the $12.99 price that is good all week long on the Up movie at Nebraska Furniture Mart is still a really good price match as well!! Good luck. -

I had some pretty good shopping karma today... got my Up movies (2 of them), paid $15.99 at the register; used the Disney coupons beeplessly; went to customer service and price matched them for $9.99. Yes, the deal was THAT nice for me. Thanks for the tip on the coupon Sarasuzy... sorry to hear you didn't make it to get your GPS. -

Oh, enjoy!!!! The new stores are the best. I am still using "bounty" from when we had lots of new stores opening out my way. I'm so glad I stockpiled when I found good deals during holiday clearances or just general clearance. The Stateline ST used to be great when it first opened. Now, it can tend to get pretty over-shopped. I remember some of those stores had TONS of holiday themed toys still left in the toy aisle at 90% off!!! GOOD toys too. Speaking of good toys left behind... I found 3 Halloween Barbies hanging out in the toy aisle in Stanly today. I was certain they wouldn't sell them to me, but he did! $1.09 for each one. These are nice cause we give extra special Halloween gifts to some of the girls neighborhood friends. -

Isn't that Belton store relatively new?? Or am I thinking Blue Springs that is getting a new store? I've never been out there.... a bit too far from Overland Park. -

ooohhhhh, thank you, thank you. I will definitely have to check that before I head out in the morning... crossing my fingers you get your GPS. Doesn't seem to be too many Kansas city people on this forum... unless they are just lurking and not posting! I DO NOT need one of these GPS thingies, so if it's gone, it most definitely won't be me!! :) I'm not going that direction anytime soon anyway. -

For anyone with a Nebraska Furniture Mart near them... In their Sunday circular, they have the Disney Movie Up on sale (releasing Tuesday) for $12.99 this week. However, <b>from 10-noon on Tuesday, Nov 10</b> they will have it on sale for $9.99. It is all spelled out in their ad, so it should hopefully be an easy price match at Target. I would love to find a coupon to use with it. If someone knows of one, please post!!:) -

#### 207 20 0336 Shaun White Snowboarding PSP game (orig $19.99) down to $4.98 #### 207200371 MLB 09 The Show (PSP baseball game) (orig $29.99) down to $20.98 --not a great deal ... but, used the $10 off 2 PSP games coupon, so it helped offset the more expensive game. -

Did anyone else find any Halloween Barbies this year? I happened on one yesterday and it did scan 75% off. Remember last year when they had so many of those Halloween Barbies and they didn't clearance them with the Halloween stuff, but instead put a red sticker on them and drug them out until Christmas? I wasn't really familiar with a lot of the Halloween 'stuff' this year, and didn't start even looking at it until it went to 75% off. So I didn't pay attention to whether there were a lot of Halloween Barbies on the shelves prior to the clearance or not. I just found one laying on a shelf that must have been returned. -

My sister's kids have birthdays in Dec/Jan. PLUS there is Christmas. I never know what to give my nephews (and niece) who are 10/11 years old. So, these games are perfect for them. I have 3 girls, so some of these games will be Christmas gifts for them as well. We don't have a lot of Wii games, but they are becoming more and more interested in playing with it as they get older. -

It's a great system and they just had a price cut early this fall. Instead of regular price of $250, they are now $200. We have one and it is a lot of fun. My sister has one too, so all the games that I bought are for Christmas. Kids around the 10-11 year old range can be tricky to buy for (in my opinion). Wii games are always welcomed with smiles around birthday and Christmas time. (And all my sister's kids and 1 of my own were born in Dec/Jan, so I have double whammy this time of year.) -

Just tallied up my wii game totals and figured that I got 18 games for $271.55. My total was lowered by almost $15 because of the 5% rewards program that Target is trialing in the Kansas City area. So, that averages to about $15 per game, and I got: 5- $50 games; 2- $40 games; 5- $30 games; 3- $20 games and 3- $15 games. Finally Target has given me something fun. I haven't found much on clearance for a long time and have gotten really bored with shopping there. This has kind of made up for it, especially since I have kids that are getting more and more into these kinds of games instead of toys. -

...and remember, buying SIX (if you can use that many) gets you the sweetest deal because you are only actually paying for FOUR, but getting to use a coupon for all SIX.
