  1. I am sort of outta the Leapster/Leap Frog stuff since we have what we need even if it is older models, but I will say this... sometimes when they clearance things like this, it's to make room for a newer, different type of player that will be coming out. My only reason for saying this is that since you say you will be holding on to it for awhile or that maybe your son won't be using it so much until he is a bit older, you might find that by the time he is using it a lot, Leap Frog has something totally different on the market. I'm not in anyway saying that the Leapsters aren't good. Heck, we still have the Leap Frog writers... not sure if they even make those anymore, and my girls still occasionally play with them. Leap Frog is a good brand and it usually will always have good resale so you should easily get back close to what you paid for it (IF you get it at 75% off) even if it's used. However, like with all electronic toys/gadgets, they continually keep updating and making the players do slightly different things. ... and the worst case could be that they change the games/cartridges as well and then you might have to find that stuff on ebay to fit the player you have.
  2. They should eventually go lower. The thing I've found about the bulk items is that people who tend to use coupons snatch that stuff up earlier because with a coupon, 30% off can still be a pretty good deal especially if you NEED something. I have found some good deals in the past when things went to 50% off, but Target seems a bit less likely to have as much stock as they might have in past years... or for whatever reasons they don't seem to mark down as quickly anymore IMO.
  3. I was at the Mission Greatland today looking for some silly toy that my DD8 wanted to buy with her birthday money... anyway, I noticed 2 Leapster 2s in the regular aisle with red stickers on them (Star Trek or Star Wars, I think). The stickers were taken down to 1/2 price, but based on the discussions about them on this forum, maybe they were cheaper?? Anyway, I didn't have any interest in them and didn't have time to scan them, but if someone in this area has been following them at this store, just thought I'd let you know that there are 2 of them in the regular Leapster aisle.
  4. I know this deal may appear to be dead, but after all hope was lost of finding any of the style that I loved in this panty... low rise, bikini size M, I happened to visit a less shopped store in our city on Memorial Day, which was supposedly the last day of the sale. I scored 30, yes 3-0 panties in the neutral colors that boring me likes (black, cream and nude). I was ecstatic. Couldn't believe my eyes. These panties flew outta so many of the other stores around me on day one of this sale. Anyway, there were still others there, but I figured 30 would stock me and my sister and sister-in-law up for a good long time. HOWEVER, I accidently got 3 size smalls in my pile and today I went back to exchange them. Well, many of the sale signs in the Victoria Secret windows have a big, black sign over them that says SOLD OUT, and even this store did. I couldn't imagine that in only 3 days, they sold ALLLL those 10 for $25 panties. I mean this store had tons left and backstock as well. When I went in, the clerk told me that all stores were told to take the 10 for $25 panties off the floor. She said so many stores were sold out anyway. BUT, they were then told to put them back out. Soooo, if you are in the Kansas City area and you still want in on this panty deal. CROWN CENTER is the store to go to. They have a lot left and even though the sign on the front window says "sold out", they are putting them back out. Good Luck. (If you are looking for the low rise bikini, I can't guarantee that there are too many of the size M in the basic colors left, but there might be some in the prints. There were a lot of them when I left.) There were lots of string bikinis, high leg brief, etc.... Happy Shopping!
  5. No, I guess I didn't look at diapers. Sorry.
  6. Haven't been to Target in quite awhile, but went today for Wet Ones. ANYWAY, they had a lot of bulk items 1/2 price... it even appeared that some stickers went straight from 15% to 50%. Not everything was marked that low; some was still 15% and some 30%, but here is a list of what I saw at 1/2 price: Viva Paper Towels Bounty Paper Towels Kleenex-- multi packs and singles Cottonelle moist wipes Toilet Paper (Angel Soft?? and Charmin, I believe) Oh and Cottonelle. Biz Laundry Soap Quite a few cleaning supplies ... all I can really remember. Much of it was also dispersed through the regular aisles as well as up toward the front where the bulk items are. Got a couple Minute Maids. I so rarely have the clerk say anything about it during checkout, but today she happened to notice the price and commented "ohhh how cheap!" "Wonder why they are so cheap..." I just said, "I dunno, but I have kids outta school, and they get thirsty, so that's all that matters to me!"--We both giggled and that was the end of that. Certainly don't need anymore eyes watching out for those juice boxes than there have already gotten to be.
  7. I got the e-mail about this late yesterday... went in 15 minutes after they opened this morning and they were cleared out of the low rise anything... I like their low rise bikini... nothing left. Nothing left online in that style either.
  8. Exactly, now you are a sharp cookie! Buy whatever you need to buy to keep your total up and then just return it later. Just keep the darn juice deal under the radar. It's really not that difficult! And it shouldn't really be that difficult to figure out that discussing the juice deal with the Target employees isn't a great idea! Geezzzz.
  9. Sometimes with some of those smaller items, they put them all in a cart and take them to the back to ticket, especially if there are a lot of items. I've seen stores do this anyway... not saying that is for sure what they've done here, but you might check back just to make sure. I can't imagine they'd salvage makeup at just 30% off. Target seems to be doing things differently though, so ya never know.
  10. Yes, and if posters start to do what was talked about in post number 357, more and more of THAT will happen.
  11. It seems like I remember reading some time ago that someone who worked at Target (or knew someone) said that Target was generally not going to be taking a lot of higher end electronics to 75% off anymore. I could be wrong, but I remember reading something about that quite awhile ago. (and I also don't see a lot of really nice electronics marked that low anymore... smaller things, yes, but not the cameras, camcorders, dvd players, etc.) They used to 'cause I remember those days well! I, for one, just haven't seen it in about a year or so around here. So, I would bet they just took all the stuff you saw off the shelf and sent it out to a salvage company to resell. Although, if you were there on Thursday, sometimes I've seen them do markdowns in electronics on Fridays in addition to Mondays (I think), so you might have missed it ?? I'm sure stuff flew out fast if they did in fact mark it down.
  12. Thanks for posting this! I was literally on my way out the door for my weekly trip to Costco when I read your post. I found the Godiva cards for that same price and picked up 5 2-packs. These will be great for end of the year teacher gifts. I asked customer service about the expiration dates, and they have NO expire date. They can be used in any Godiva store or online. They had an attached list of the Godiva stores in about an 8 state radius around me by the kiosk where I found the cards. I presume to help folks figure out where the nearest store is. I mean it's basically $25 in cash at a price of $10. I would have bought more, but I'm a bit leery of stockpiling giftcards in this economy. These will be great little gifts to give out though! Thanks Stowasser
  13. Holy wow, that blows my mind. I haven't ever had that happen before. What a horrible thing to do!
  14. I've still seen a lot of these around. They've been ticketed at 75% off in some stores for quite some time now and they are still hanging there. Sometimes that tells me a lot about just how good (or not) something is. We don't have any for our girls though, so maybe someone else can speak to it better than I can. Did you check Amazon? I always like to read reviews out there when I buy something I'm not sure of. Many times, I end up returning stuff after I read about it even if I did get it for a good deal.
  15. I bought some wii pom poms for $5 today (down from $20)... just read the reviews on Amazon... whew!!! A great majority of the reviews are really bad, so I will be taking them back. Just wanted to let anyone know in case someone was thinking about buying them.
  16. They had a bunch of those at our stores, but I just couldn't figure out what kiddo in the "ipod/mp3 player era" listens to CDs anymore LOL!! ?? I passed on those, but I was on the hunt for headphones... noise cancelling ones for the girls to use on plane trips with their DVDs. Was mostly just a day of browsing the stores, but I was surprised at the number of Easter "stuff" that was in the toy aisles. Lots of those pet shop deco bunnies, kelly dolls, Schleich animals and even some pixos.
  17. Does anyone on here happen to know about Razor Scooters... specifically the electric ones? Target has the E175 on sale this week for $89.99 and Toys R Us has an E100 for $79.99. They both appear to have the same description in the ad. I really don't want to make a trip to Toys R Us if the E175 is a better model. I'd rather just pay the extra $10 and get a slightly better model from Target. I've tried to google to get a comparison and also went out to the Razor site, but there wasn't any clear information about what the differences were (if any) between the E100 and the E175. One would presume that since they are numbered differently, there would be differences, but I know sometimes manufacturers give special versions to stores with a different model number even though they are essentially the same thing. Just thought I see if there was anyone out there who has been down the Electric Scooter path with their kids and might be able to help me out. I'd like to get my dd8 one for her b-day in May. TIA!!:)
  18. Was at the Op Super Target 119th street at noon and they were restocking Easter throws, Mr./Mrs. Bunny Potato Heads and these cute little bubble sets... my first bubbles or something like that. Also, check the regular book aisle for this cute hardcover book: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51yjYLkU%2B1L._SL500_AA240_.jpg It rings as $3.60. I didn't familiarize myself with much that was Easter, so can't really report back on anything else exciting. I did find some bunny marshmallows (29cents) and the graham crackers are marked down to $2.50. With the $1 off both Target coupon, that made for a box of Honey Maids and a bag of marshmallows for $1.79... not bad.
  19. If they had red stickers on them showing a price decrease of 15, 30 or 50%, that most likely means they will clearance slower... (same type of schedule as any other clearance section of the store). If you just found them mixed in without any red stickers, that probably just means that someone misplaced them, and if you find those type of items when Easter moves to 75% off, then they should also be scanning/ringing up as 75% off. Target never really used to separate its holiday toys out, but now they tend to do that with some of the more name brand toys.
  20. I think that most retailers including Target have scaled way back on what they order. I'm seeing that in most everything, aside from holiday/seasonal stuff, when I go to Target (which is much less frequently now) . I was roaming one of the store's this morning before my gym class and saw a big binder sitting in the cart that was titled, "Target Retail Plan 2009." I thought that might make a fun read!! I'm sure it was probably a bunch of boring documents that I wouldn't even understand, but it would have been fun to take a peek! I'm definitely not that bold though. I was trying to do the Target coupon deal with the Easter marshmallows. (There is a coup out there that saves you a dollar when you buy marshmallows and honey grahams...) Anyway, they had all the strawberry flavored marshmallows in the Easter aisle with the duck/bunny themed marshmallows. When I scanned them though, the strawberry ones did not ring 1/2 price. The others did. Just a heads up if you bought some. You might check your receipt. At the very least, it may require cashier intervention. Or, maybe it was just at this particular store. I didn't care enough to ask about it. The ducks were fine with me! It was a fairly decent deal since I needed some crackers anyway. Plus I had a manufacturers coup as well.
  21. Got this (T-fal waffle and sandwich maker) today in it's box (not display model) for $7.48, regular $29.99. For some reason, Amazon has the exact same model for $39.99. (At least the numbers matched.) http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41G6STZAC7L._SL500_AA280_.jpg Also got the electric cheese grater from Oster for $7.87. I don't know though... the reviews on Amazon don't look real great, but it WAS pretty cheap, so we'll see if I keep it or not: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31KWTyHddJL._SL500_AA280_.jpg ... and also got one of these (Black and Decker food processor), but again, I need to read the reviews a bit more. It was only $12.50, so quite cheap (reg. $50). http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/21PWw9vfLCL._SL500_AA150_.jpg I also saw, (but passed on) the large warming tray thing ($17.xx)?? and also a small refrigerator that was 50% off ($60.xx); I really tried hard to think of a use for that refrigerator, but we just didn't need it. That was a good deal for someone. Saw a lot of appliances for 75% off, but many were display models. The stuff I found all had a box, and appears to be in good shape. I need to open to make sure though!
  22. the other thing to remember is that the sissors have to be fully charged or they will operate too slowly to cut anything. I always try to go through the thinnest part of the outer plastic first and then sort of work my way into the thicker parts and I haven't had any problems at all. For us, they work a lot better than regular sissors.
  23. All our heaters went to 75% yesterday and I also found 1 humidifier for $7.xx down from $30.xx. Wish I could have found more.
  24. ahhhh, thanks for clearing that up. I thought it sounded silly that someone would make a digital photo card for only one specific operating system. I just didn't spend much time reading about it and didn't really need an SD card, but that's a nice deal. I'm not sure which ones had the free photo book. All the ones that I saw had it, but I don't know if there was a difference between 1GB and 2GB. Sorry!
