  1. okay... so is this thing in a box and needs to be fully assembled, or is it set up somewhere like by the assembled bikes? How big is it exactly? People are talking about their teens riding it, so I'm thinking this is NOT what I thought it was. But, yet for just a couple hundred dollars you can get an adult sized moped??? I'm confused. Perhaps this is something that Targets in our part of the country don't carry???
  2. Do you have the dpci for that? Did it have a regular small orange sticker or a long sticker-- like it was an internet return? Also, where are you?
  3. Now, IMO those play kitchens are well worth their money. We actually have 2 and although it comes and goes in spurts, the girls LOVE the play kitchen and food, etc. There may be times when it goes unused for awhile, but then all of a sudden they are having picnics with their dolls or if (during the summer) we decide to grill, they run to cook up stuff themselves. I think if you give the play kitchen some time (especially when your 2yo gets a bit older and they play together more), the kitchen will see more action. ...and if you get the play kitchen for 75% off, you will almost certainly get your money back from that (if it's not too beat up). That kind of stuff sells like mad at a garage sale. I just unloaded a lot of that large plastic stuff (more of just the baby items) last spring and it flew outta here. Some of it wasn't even in that great of shape. Preschools and daycares flock to buy that at garage sales. Of course, everyone's kids are different and what may be great for one kid isn't necessarily great for the other, that's for sure!
  4. We have Butterscotch, which is just like S'mores... just from a couple years ago. It is an incredibly cute toy, but after having one, I can honestly say that I would not pay more than 75% off for it only because (like I've said before on this forum) Butterscotch doesn't see a lot of play time at our house and we have a 3yo, 6yo and 8yo. We bought it for the now 6yos 4th b-day (if that makes sense). She liked it for awhile, but then the girls started NOT liking it when the horse was on because it would wake up suddenly and scare the pants off them. So, now it sits downstairs with a carrot around its neck just lookin' cute. I'm very glad I didn't pay full price for it, but for 75% off, it's pretty cute. And in all honesty, kids and toys are a very fickle pair. One day it's the greatest thing in the world and the next day, it's collecting dust. So, I mean it's kind of a toss up really. I guess if you have a real horse lover, than it might be different. Plus, at 75% off, I would say you are almost guaranteed to get back what you paid for it at a garage sale. So, it would be a pretty cheap toy to play with even if it is for just a short time.
  5. I was there this morning at about 10. I took the grey one and the pink one and I think there was blue or green left... over by electronics on your way into light bulbs/tools etc.... I remember seeing some at Oak Park too earlier in the week, but I'm not sure if they went to 75% off today or not. I only went to Stanly today.
  6. I saw one at the Stanly store, but I think it was still stickered at 50% off. I wouldn't trust the sticker cause it was on a 75% off end cap and it was the only one left. If the store is close by to you, I'd definitely check it for yourself to make sure it just wasn't mis-stickered. That was this morning though, so I don't know if it's still there or not.
  7. I found them at the Stanly store, who STILL has a lot of Smart Cycles STILL for $50. I will probably be buying one on Tuesday as our plane flies out on Wednesday morning very early. I was so irritated last night and tried to explain to my husband how Target was "messin' with me" by dragging out this toy clearance... BIG MISTAKE. He just rolled his eyes and said, "I'll GIVE you $25 (the difference in the Smart Cycle price from 1/2 to 75% off) if you'll just quit thinking about it." I just started laughing hysterically, cause it IS pretty ridiculous when ya get right down to it.
  8. I've seen them mostly on end caps in tools and/or outdoor stuff (camping, etc.)
  9. Black and Decker Electric Sissors.... (They come in different colors and the dpci is different for each color.) ###Black & Decker Electric Sissors dpci 085060302 (Reg. $20-- got for $4.98) I love, love these sissors. If you have small kiddos and lots of those annoying hard plastic clamshell type packaged toys to open, these sissors make it a breeze.
  10. It just started this week (at least at most of the stores I've been to). They start at 15% off with the bulk items. Prices will stay there for awhile (probably a couple weeks), and then stuff will go to 30%. Most of the time that stuff goes pretty quickly when it is marked to 30% off because when shoppers use coupons, it makes for some good deals. Depending on what you're after, there ARE things that are still available at 50%... usually cleaning supplies. The kids' lunchbox type items tend to go quickly and rarely make it to 50%, but windex/tilex/clorox cleaning type things tend to have a better chance.
  11. I don't know if anyone else is like this, but the longer they drag this out, the less interested I become. I mean, I really want the Smart Cycle, and I will probably end up just paying $50 for the darn thing since I am out of the country next week, but each time I go and see some of the other things I'd like to have for my kids.... I just think, ok, I'm tired of looking at that, and its 'neatness' is sort of wearing off! A classic example is all the Holiday Barbies/Holiday Advent Calendars/Holiday scrapbooking stuff that is still laying around. I probably would have bought one of those advent calendars if they clearanced them right after Christmas, but now I have no desire for one. And it's not because there aren't any left. I see them at most Targets I go to (for 75% off). But, I'm just out of Christmas mode. And HALLOWEEN-- for crying out loud! I would have grabbed the Halloween dolls right after the holiday, but now-- I just don't care because I've been looking at them for so long. I do remember there was ONE year at a store around here known for dragging its feet on getting its markdowns done that just boxed it all up and shipped it out before it went to 75% off. I remember shopping while they were clearing the shelves of everything and asking the girls working, "aren't they marking this down anymore?" They said, "nope, we were told that it's all shipping out." We all talked about how weird that was (they totally agreed). I'm NOT IN ANY WAY suggesting that is what will happen to stores this year because I only saw it that one year at that one store. However, Target IS doing things really differently this year. I've never seen so many toys still around at the end of January. There is still hope for tomorrow I guess. The markdown team seemed like they were out of sync with the normal schedule, so I won't count further markdowns out until tomorrow.
  12. Was that a regular Target or a Super?
  13. Here is a pic off Amazon... http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/21SveY2GyDL._AA280_.jpg I just plugged it in to charge. Don't know how it'll work, but I'm sweeping crumbs up at least a couple times a day, so I'm hoping it works okay.
  14. If I remember right from my baby gear buying days, it was always about the last week in January when that stuff got really cheap. So, it should be happening next week or the week after for sure. I used to hit that sale big time and found lots of great things. But, I haven't been plugged in to what they are doing during the past couple years. No need for it anymore. Actually make that a :)
  15. Very odd... today at one store they were marking domestics down. Those are usually Thursday. I could understand being late a day and being BEHIND schedule, but ahead of schedule?? Hmmmm. Got a Dirt Devil electric broom (reg. $70) for $17. Did see some other Dirt Devil stuff and a George Forman grill thingy that were also 75% off, but wasn't interested in them. Lots of organization type things also marked down. Oh, including a great big stainless steel garbage can, which my husband needed for his office. It was also down to $17 (from $70).
  16. Again, this time of year it is just real difficult to ID toys that way. When they consolidate all the toys into one aisle or the endcap (as most of the stores have done by now), they really have no way of identifying which aisle/shelf anything is on, which is most likely why it says "N/A". Everything in the regular toy aisles have shelf tags and that's how they know where to find something. So, when toys go on clearance and get removed from their normal shelf spot, there is no real trail leading anyone to where they might be.
  17. KC shoppers...If you are watching for the large Tadoodle kits with the goofy looking creature, Oak Park has them for $6.24. There are 2 different kinds. Both are 75% off... had lots left at around 2 p.m. today. Also found those Build-a-Bear kits for $6.24. They were mixed in with the toys and not stickered, but I thought I remembered someone saying they went 75% this week. So, I scanned and they were. If you are after those, check the toy aisle, you might have luck there rather than in stationery, which is where I think they were originally.
  18. That's a great idea... never thought of that!
  19. Until yesterday, I had only seen the one Plasma car thrown on an endcap at the Mission Target in the toy section. I just figured it was either an internet return or just a fluke... until I found 2 at the Stanly store yesterday afternoon. So, those are the only ones I've seen. I would just say to look real closely for the boxes that someone took pics of and posted.
  20. We have Butterscotch. It was a gift for my dd's 4th b-day. It's cute. It sees very little playtime though. Those furreal things are neat, but my girls prefer cuddlier things. The Furreal animals have very stiff parts... not the greatest for cuddling. Obviously this is just my opinion for my kiddos and what they prefer. I'm sure there are some out there who have kids that play with it every day. Mine just don't. Put it this way... I'm glad I didn't pay anymore than 75% off for it. (And, I no longer even look at furreal toys for my kids.) Between the two, at least with the pony, they can crawl on it. That's about the most mine will occasionally do. Most of the time they don't like it when it's turned on cause it goes to "sleep" and then wakes up when they walk by and scares them half to death.
  21. It will give you an idea of the last price that store had them marked, but there is no guarantee that they will have any of what you are looking for, especially during clearance time (and ESPECIALLY during the toy clearance).
  22. Spike is originally priced at around $129ish I think. So, you were seeing it for 1/2 price probably.
  23. Welcome to the city! Stanly is waaayyy south of Zona Rosa. It's 151st Street and 69 Hwy... one of the least shopped Targets in the city (or has been typically anyway). Sure wouldn't have guessed it the morning of the toy sale though. It was busier than anywhere I went that day. I think that store probably had the biggest surplus of toys leftover.
  24. This is Spike. He is Fisher Price... 3ft tall, remote control dinosaur. Many Targets had him on special display through Christmas. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41scAtIssIL._SS400_.jpg
