  1. I saw lots of these too, but after reading the package a bit closer, it appears that the card can only be used on a windows machine. I didn't spend much time trying to figure out why though. I thought it was a digital camera card, and those should work on any kind of machine (right???), but it says on the front of the package that system requirements for this particular card are windows only software. Don't know if I missed something or just didn't read on enough, but if it's windows only, that won't work for me as I'm a mac girl!
  2. I remember that happened to me years and years ago with some candy corn after Halloween. This was really even before I understood the whole salvage thing. I simply asked how much it was and they swooped it outta my hands like it was a package of nuclear waste. I still remember laughing so hard I almost fell over. It was just a bag of candy corn, which I LOVE and it seemed so ridiculous. Now, I understand a bit more about the whole process and that many stores won't sell that stuff, etc., etc., etc.... But, if you haven't experienced the "OMG, we can't sell THAT to you!" -- it can be kind of funny at the time. ... not for nothin', but when/if I do find something that rings up not found and I REALLY want it, I never throw out a 90% off price. I always just go to the 75% off price, especially if the price is actually on the item. It just seems like I have better luck that way and cashiers are a bit more likely to just enter the price rather than talk to an LOD about it if the price I give isn't so insanely low.
  3. Ahhhhh. I agree. I would have never brought it up if the talk was going to turn into how to use it WRONG. Just please take the two coupons the website gives you and be happy. I'm sure that there will be more Huggies coupons coming in the future!
  4. You just go back to the beginning and start over again. The coupon will be bumped to the end of the pages, so you'll find it there. At least that's how I did it. Once you've gone through the process twice, it will tell you that's your limit.
  5. Some places have the shelf tag as $5.99... some had a sale sign up. The site lets you print 2 coupons, but if you have access to multiple computers, you can get 2 per computer.
  6. Prolly not the right place for it, but I know there are lots of parents here... www.coupons.com has a huggies coupon for $5 off any gentle care product. I just bought a bag of 232 count diaper wipes at Target (on sale for $5.99 each) and used the coupon. That's 232 wipes (giant bag) for 99 cents! We're done with diapers here, but I love keeping a tub in various places for sticky fingers... especially when I can get the wipes that cheap. HTH!!
  7. I don't know if this was just one store or if it is the entire chain, but Dick's Sporting Goods has the Mammouth Crocs for 1/2 price... $14.97.... includes all of their colors, which I think are cotton candy pink, brown, tan, light blue and black. This was at an actual store though... don't know about online.
  8. It might be the way that your store handles it, but I don't believe that it's 'company' policy. Mostly, if something is out of the system, it usually means it's salvaged and they do not HAVE to sell it to you. Many stores WILL sell it, however, it isn't always up to the customer to name their price. And I don't believe that it is any Target store's 'policy' to negotiate on their prices. Some people are lucky and are able to do that with the right cashiers, but it is definitely YMMV on that.
  9. Yesterday I found a bunch of Black Magic foam tire and wheel cleaner for 75% off. Took them all and DH was thrilled. He goes through a lot of it for his cars. They also had several Meguiar's protector (similar to Armour All) also for 75% off!! I only got 2 of those and am so mad at myself for not getting them all. I just wasn't sure if that's what he wanted. I went back today, but of course, they were gone I haven't seen car stuff go that cheap yet at most of the stores, so I will be watching for sure! I have also been watching the kids books and found them 75% off this morning at one store. (I think someone on here was wondering about that.) The paperback reading books (Step One, Step two, etc.) did not seem to be part of the markdown though. I love those books for my girls and I picked some up even at 30% off. They were still 30% off this morning. Many sticker books and some cute Tinkerbell books were all 75% off though.
  10. Greeting cards aren't part of holiday clearance. The card company rep comes back in and takes them all away. Sort of like how a majority of books and DVDs don't go either. (Although, I know some have been found, so I don't know the magic behind which ones go and which ones don't.)
  11. That's why it's kind of a good idea to just browse the v-day aisle before stuff goes clearance. There is so much left just randomly around the store. If you know what's part of the holiday stuff, you can find some nice treasures. I found a little crayola backpack thing filled with sidewalk chalk, markers, etc... regular $10 down to $2.50. It was around the stationery aisle end cap in plain sight. LOTS of valentines pixos around the stores here. My 7 yo really likes them. She got the Pixo pen holder thingy for Christmas, but honestly, if I had it to do over, I would have just bought the beads and the templates. It's faster and easier for her to just do it with her fingers rather than load up the pen. The v-day packs were very pricey to begin with $5.99 regular price, but on sale, they are cute and include a string so that kids can make a heart necklace.
  12. Oh thanks so much. I think I will let her try it out and just tell her to peddle a little slower. I've read on reviews that sometimes the peddles can "strip out"... don't know if that's just from general use or a bit of harder use though. That's why I'm kinda nervious. I'll just have her be a little careful. I'm sure her interest in it will dissipate soon enough, as with so many of the toys we buy. (heavy sigh... )
  13. Target has done this in the past... put something on clearance and then wait to put the line of accessories on clearance until summer. I've seen it with leappads, leapsters, etc from the past. The player will go on sale, but not the software; or vis versa. Personally, I figured after getting the cycle for so cheap, paying the 20 bucks for the software was okay. Of course, I was only interested in the Barbie software, which is practically no where to be found at many of the Targets I visited. I FINALLY found one. (They are in the regular aisle with leapster software, etc. in case you are wondering.) That's the only one I plan to get. I'm not real thrilled with the line of software that Fisher Price has to go with the cycle. If the software games go cheaper, I will pick up some more, but not at 20 bucks each. Target may wait until the summer sale to put the Smart Cycle software on sale, but then they won't have the cycle... kinda silly, I know!
  14. OT, I know. But I'm hoping to quick tap the shoulders of some parents who have the Smart Cycle and are using it. We gave it to our daughter for her b-day and she loves it. However, her 8yo sister wants to try it sooo bad. Has anyone let an older child (older than 6) ride it? She's totally average size, and I don't think she'll break it-- although I don't want her to be too hard on it and that's what I'm afraid of. Any opinions would be appreciated.
  15. Linens, bath accessories, comforters, sheets, throws, pillows, etc at the Stanly, KS store are 75% off. Easy Bake ovens that were red stickered at $11.xx for 2 weeks are now back up to $26.99:confused:
  16. If you are ever wondering about a specific toy, I would just ask. If I have any knowledge about it's value (or lack of), I, for one, will be happy to answer your post. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the Air Hog Helicopters. Sorry!
  17. I disagree. I really appreciate hearing opinions about things here mixed in with Target clearance finds.
  18. I have found them at all times of the day and really it just becomes sort of a natural thing to wiz down the juice box aisle and give it a glance. A majority of the time I don't find any and increasingly, it is getting harder and harder. I'm sure there are a lot more people who have found out about (and naturally want in on) this deal. But, I still take a whirl down that aisle just in the off chance there are some there. I'm thinking it probably depends on when the food court checks their supply or restocks the juices since it is linked to that area of the store. I've found them late at night too, but perhaps the chances are probably better in the morning. I'm not entirely sure. Also, there are some stores that I just NEVER have any luck, and I personally think those are the stores where the employees restocking are probably aware of the good deal, and therefore the packs never even make it to the floor.
  19. Kinda depends on what they will do with that "home stuff" (global bazaar) ... That will be clearing out soon...unless Target drags that on and on and on like the toys Also in February is big time clearance in linens (nice throws, pillows, sheets, comforters, etc.) Reading from last year's thread should help you a lot with other specific items as well.
  20. I also saw a ton of easy bake ovens at one store marked to 1/2 price. I was at the same store last Tuesday and they were not in the sale aisle. Haven't seen the easy bakes on sale anywhere else. They were $11.xx I think. Why are you putting out new clearance toys Target??!! Don't you know this gig is OVER? Went to another store late today to pick up my hidden smart cycle, and the power was out! Haven't ever seen that at a Target before. With the exception of a few auxiliary lights, it was pretty darn dark in the store. Considering the mission I was on, it made me feel even more sneaky than I was being! I was half afraid that they wouldn't be able to ring up my purchase. But, the registers WERE working. (All I needed was a little Mission Impossible music and the mood would have been perfect!) I saw some of those Little Einstein Rockets, but wasn't sure about them, so I left them there. What do they do exactly? With a $40 regular price, I figure they must do something kinda special. I also wasn't sure if they were supposed to have 2 people sitting in the front seat or 1. The ones I saw only had 1 person, but it looked like there might have been a spot for a 2nd little guy who perhaps was abducted by a bored child waiting for their mommy to finish shopping in the toy aisle
  21. Oh, this gave me a giggle... so sorry for your mess, but that is funny.
  22. OT I know, but since there are a ton of mom's on this forum.... Gymboree has crazy prices on most everything with rhinestones on it. Supposedly because of some new lead law, they are getting rid of a lot of clothing with rhinestones on it. There is a new line that has a ton of stuff for $4.99 and under. Online is virtually sold out of everything already, but the stores still have some stuff. Got 3 giant sacks full this morning including a blue and white polka dot raincoat that was $42.75 for $4.99!!! Oh, AND JEANS for $4.99!!! To ATTEMPT to make this a legitimate post... I stopped by a Target and there were lots of baby markdowns. They were taking apart the camping/sporting goods aisles, but not a whole heck of a lot on sale.
  23. Ahhhh. I hadn't even noticed that until you said something. I went back to look and yes, it does say that in the ad, so guess that stuff will sit another week at 30%.
  24. Ya, especially since other than possibly being a bit more durable than other players, $75 for a portable dvd player is really no deal. I admit that I don't know all the ins and outs of what it does, but it looks like the screen is a lot smaller than you can get on a normal portable player. But, like I said, maybe it does other fabulous things that I'm unaware of !
  25. Ya, know I just have no idea. Considering that people have seen the markdown teams "out of order" last week, WHO KNOWS!?? I'm not banking on anything though. Especially if they mark "global bazaar" down again tomorrow. It will be 2 weeks tomorrow that the GB stuff went to 30% off (around here anyway), so if they drop that to 50% off, that will be a big job for the markdown team, and I doubt they would tackle both toys and GB stuff the same day. I would really be in happy land if they decided to do toys Monday or Tuesday. That would give me glimmer of hope for my Smart Cycle since I won't be here from Wednesday to Sunday.!!
