Sigh.... two Targets and not much. Not a wasted trip though, as I needed a couple of baby shower items anyway -

Went to two Targets today. The toys were pretty well picked over at both - but I did get two of the circo fire engines today - $5 each. Great for gifts! Went ahead and got the FurReal elephant too, it was the last one left and DD loves elephants. No soccer shoes on sale. I was bummed about that - I would have gotten them on clearance. What I was really after though was camping stuff. Man, that stuff was wiped out! I did get an inflatable mattress for $5. Could only find one sleeping bag on clearance. I got it, but I needed 3. -

Shipping kinda kills the deal - UNLESS you can find enough other clearance stuff to add up to the $50 and get Free ship -

I've been to 3 of the stores in my area this week. Not much of anything worthwhile in the toy clearance. The few things I might consider are still only at 30%. Bah. Oh, and the tape? Ya, not so much here. They have it on the shelf with the other tape. Full price. "Oh we don't clearance that stuff"... what??! -

All Christmas stuff was salvaged several days ago here... didn't even get to see it at 75%... Toys they have aplenty - especially those Target brand types that they put out just for the holiday. But only 30%. Not worth it IMO. bummer -

Drat... coupon not working. I was hoping to get four sweatshirts and finish off shopping for the family. Still not too bad a price with the free shipping... but I think I'll keep looking. -
I think its an awesome idea to have kids - even little ones - give to those less fortunate. It really helps teach them to be grateful for that which they receive.
-
About $1300 ... and saved an equal amount if not more. BUT - that is for a large extended family with lots of kids. And I budgeted for it - so I'm actually still $200 under! And I am done shopping!
-
Cool.. may have to get the SI and the PopMech

Write to the store, the district, and the corportate headquarters. And make sure you tell them that you are expecting a response!

Merrels. I'm currently sporting some clunky looking hiking shoe types. Ugly yes... but who cares?! My feet don't hurt! But they do offer lots of different models. If you have an REI near you thats a great place to go try them on.

I have a friend who would dearly love this. I'm keeping an eye out for bargains too - because Dh will have a cow when he finds out what the price is.

Official One-and-Only "What I Got" / "My BF Experience" Thread

Good day for ME! No electronics on the list, so I was able to avoid that madness. Between Dh and I we hit Target, Staples, Office Max, Walmart, Michaels, and Joanne Fabric. Total spending…. $1,232 Total SAVINGS over original prices $1,123 Christmas shopping for us is done!! I even got some shopping done for my mom so she doesn’t have to worry about going out. Coolest scores… Adjustable height basketball hoop – we were actually looking to buy one this week anyway, not for Christmas. $99 instead of $170 Cricut scrapbooking thingy - $79 rather than $199 And Ott craft lamps – 19.99 rather than 69 Of course I got a ton of other stuff on sale, but those were some of the best bargains on things I really needed/wanted. DH did go to TRU at midnight. It was CRAZY! Glad I missed that. Huge line, people shoving. All he wanted was an R/C car and a 3Muskateers Barbie. He got the doll - but the cars were gone. He said all the big ticket items were gone within minutes. Walmart was packed - but mostly civil. Like I said, we were able to skip electronic stuff. The toy dept was wall to wall people but I managed to grab what I wanted pretty fast. The worst part about WM was checking out. Everyone wanted to leave at the same time as me I guess... the line seemed to take forever. We just have a small Joann Fabric here - I met my mom and was one of the first twenty or so in the store. We grabbed a bunch of the sale fabric and got in the cutting line. Mom waited while I continued to shop. It went smoothly even though we had to wait a while for the cutting table. And I scored the Cricut thing for someone who really wants it for Christmas! I was in and out of Michaels - no doorbuster type things I wanted there, but I used the 25% off coupon toward some craft stuff I needed. Staples and Office Max were mostly empty when I got to them. I still got the items I wanted though so that was good. Overall a very good day. I mananged to stay in my holiday buget (just barely) and finish shopping! Now I just have to stay out of the stores until January! -
It was a small line in the ad. I got lucky - DH went to Target and didn't even know about them, but he still managed to get one to bring home. :)

They had them at my WM. But they went FAST. Employees all had a copy of the ad, a store map, and bright yellow jerseys. Some stuff was still a madhouse though.

Gotta love a free shirt! Even better for a cool site! -
Remember if you are getting a rebate for any purchases at Staples you can do the request ONLINE! Its usually a little faster getting your rebate this way. Do be sure to keep your receipts though!
-
Always a great resource for info! Even though I don't post alot - I do use this site to find great deals all year. I cleaned up at the Target July toy clearance - all thanks to GottaDeal!
-
And the site has crashed...... or at least we can't get on around here. Wonder how long this will last.
-
We have a TRU just around the corner so Dh is going to run over at midnight to see if he can get the 3Muskateers Barbie and an R/C car. These are not must have items - but good prices if he can get them. There were a couple more things I was looking at but they don't go on sale until 5am... and I've got other places to be so we won't be getting thoses things at TRU

3 pairs of shoes and a set of jibbitz for under $39.. not bad!
-
Nothing that good this year. And those $3 appliances just don't excite me. Last time I got one like that it lasted precisely twice - both uses on box cake batter (and not even the same day!). Then it smelled of burning wire and quit working. No thanks.
