  1. I hate how they change their prices all the time. I only go there if I am after a specific item and I have a specific price range.
  2. I should stop reading this thread! I had to run some errands this morning so I dropped into Target since I was near there anyway... No candy to speak of, but a fair amount of costumes and some halloween clothing items. They were still marked 75% off. But I gave the scanner a try and they came up at the 90% off price!! I got 2 GI Joe costumes for my nephews to dress up in - 1.29 and 2.59 Barbi Princess outfit for DD - 2.99 Doctor dress up set ... less than 2 bucks. Heck, you cannot beat that! Dress up outfits cost way more in the toy section! I also got two cute boy tshirts .59 and .39 - heck for a buck they can be painting disaster shirts! Transformers plastic sword... 79cents oh, and a pack of ring pops for my little princess..... 9 CENTS. LOL Saved over $110 on stuff the kids will LOVE that I would not have bought otherwise
  3. My big wish list for stuff I want to buy is: 1. Netbook or laptop - cheap but good function for a favorite niece 2. Digital Camera - good one for ME 3. Flat Screen TV for DH 4. Wii and stuff to go with it for the family 5. hmmm.... holding out to see what the really good deals are
  4. I have the same problem with my college age son..... what to stuff with.. Some things that have been hits.. Razors ... if he uses those fancy disposables they are pricey - so its nice to get some refills Favorite pens and/or mechanical pencils. Socks Toothbrush Body wash Paperback book Puzzle - crossword, word search, soduku, ect books Travel size games - cards, electric yatzee, football, ect packs of his favorite Gum
  5. Well, on a whim went to a different Target. Woot!Woot! Got a ton of snack size M&M's, twizzlers, and Milk Duds @ 75% off - something like .74 a bag. They are not Halloween colored so will be perfect for parties, stocking stuffers, or whatever. Also got a couple of costumes for dress up play - also 75% off. May go back in the morning to see if they hit 90% off. Cant beat that for play stuff. Regular dress up outfits are twenty buck or more. If I do go back I'll be looking for girly stuff for DD and GI Joe type stuff for my nephews! They still didn't have the marked down PSP, so I went ahead and bought two that were 19xx each for BIL. With the $10 off 2 thats still a pretty good deal and he will enjoy them. I've scored a ton of stuff for cheap thanks to this one thread!! THANK YOU gottadeal veterans!!!
  6. No luck on ANY of the PSP lower price games. Two Targets and nada - seems everything else that caught my eye was 29xx and higher
  7. Blah... they never have anything I want or need anyway
  8. Awesome! Thanks... Oh and I just realized the TAG books can be PM'd with TRU... cool beans
  9. Oh, and does anyone know what if any Leapster2 games and/or Tag books might be on clearance?
  10. Questions about coupons (see in red below) maybe someone can help me out? Thanks!
  11. Very pricey for a kids game. Only mixed reviews at best. And there are qeustions about it holding a kids long term interets when/if they figure it out.
  12. Only finding 60 ones ... drat
  13. I hit two Targets here today and had NO LUCK with any of the items discussed so far. I found Resolve carpet cleaner on "clearance" $4 off.. and I needed it so that was ok. The beer thingie - "clearance" still $104!! And ya, I scanned it. I did get some cute paper plates (small) for .34 and a plastic Pirate table cover for .68 But thats it... kinda bummed
  14. This was good reading. I usually do Joann Fabrics first. I can get tons of fabric for Project Linus blankets for cheap! Then its off to the other places - Target, Walmart. Last year Dh and I divided to conquer - there were doorbuster type things we wanted at two places... so he waited at one while I went to the other. Worked well, we got the things we wanted!
  15. All Creatures Great And Small... James Herriot. Cant beat a classic.
  16. Asus Eee PC B002IUI57U Well thats one of the #'s ... I guess each color has a different one?
  17. Well... hmm... I may get up early and head to the 24hr Wallys so I can grab the few things I want without freezing. If I'm there by 4:30 I can probably get what I want and be ready to check out a bit after 5. Then I can head to the fabric store before they open. LOL
  18. Cool! Presents for dd and the nephews!
  19. Although I do usually cruise by and check the deals regularly - I mostly only post at this time of year. All the same THANKS for having such a great site. It has been very valuable to me!
  20. Themed is kinda a fun idea - *Many places they'll have at least a laptop so they can watch movies - so a movie night pack would be fun. *Maybe a summer picnic *Too much chocolate is never enough *Favorite Foods (I sent mexican munchies - chips, salsa, 'n such) to my BIL
  21. LOL... I needed to pick up some soap and a couple of other non BF type items, so off to wallys I went. I had time to spare so I cruised the outer perimeter - lo and behold - nearly every "special" item was still in stock. Even most of the big electronics still had 5 or 6 on the pallet. Guess Wallys (at least here in WA) didn't have all that big of big sale day.
  22. I've had people try to lift fabric bolts from my cart at Joannes.... after a while theres not much of the sale stuff on the shelf and newcomers start eyeing peoples carts. LOL
  23. Seriously.... Rustler jeans aren't gonna get me to stand in line even if they were giving them away FREE. What a BLAH ad.
  24. I will definately be there. This year I know to pull my customer number before I pick fabric - the line gets long in a big hurry.
  25. I think we planned our day pretty well. My "big" item was the Rowenta iron at Joanne Fabrics. We have one of the big Joannes with lots of fabrics and crafts. Almost nobody in line when we got there - but it was a mad rush once the doors opened. They literally only had a handful of the irons. Thankfully I managed to snag one... its a gift. I got a ton of inexpensive fabric too! What I would have done different is take a number for the cutting line right away BEFORE I looked at fabric. I bought a cartload of stuff...but I had to wait an hour to have it cut. And there were people behind me who I know had to wait much longer. I got everything else I set out for and a couple extra bargains too... So it was a good day for me.
