well unfortunately my friend that was one is no longer one & i dont feel like tracking down a new one

i wrap over the course of a week or 2 between when the tree goes up & xmas eve

yeah i saw that wish they had that policy a year ago

yes they are the 'older' versions, but hardly an inferior product (i weigh the quality of any gameboy against the old green-screen clunker, which i had for about 10 years - ANYTHING would be better!)...i think this is good not so much for the people who wanted target's bundle w/ the new version but for those who wanted the $49 system from walmart that sold out quickly

i so have to find a 24hr walmart for next year, anyone know if there are any in nj?

heh that reminds me of the people i've seen returning things to places like target & even tho they paid with a credit card they demand cash back...haha stupid people like that crack me up

no idea, i pushed my way back (electronics was packed to the gills, everyone smushed up against each other) to ask for one about 10 mins after opening & they were already sold out, so i was thinking wow they must not have had many, but then i saw a woman with 4 in her hands so now im thinking they had a decent amt but a lot of ppl got multiples...why can't they limit quantities on these things that everyone wants? i saw someone with 6 of the portable dvd players in their cart! so unfair esp to ppl who waited hours & only missed out bc someone in front of them took 8!

i started another thread on this, but yes, im pretty sure several hot items will be on sale again by xmas, possibly for even less than they were on BF (like nintendo ds for $100 @ target in dec.)

we always have a real tree & my dad thinks it would be a fire hazard to have lights on it (he thinks everything is a fire hazard) so we've never had em

i think walmart's major flaw (the one i went to anyway, & a few others in my area) was that the toys & electronics sections are right next to each other...they should have put the pallets with the hot items in an aise in the clothing or housewares sections, which were mostly empty

you think that's bad? i once actually placed an order on circuitcity.com for an ipod (this was last christmas when everyone wanted one) & selected instore pickup for the closest store that was listed as having it in stock. when i got there the next morning they didnt have any in stock & nothing put aside for me. dont they have to pull the item off the shelves & put it aside as soon as my online transaction gets to them? they basically already had my money & i didnt have my item...the manager was fairly nice about it & kept apologizing, then later while they were searching the store for one said a truck had just arrived with their shipment & he was looking for the type of ipod i wanted, but an hour later the truck was unloaded & they hadnt received any of them! so after waiting a total of about 2 hrs (sitting on the floor), the manager said he would give me a 40gb ipod (i ordered the 20gb one, $300), which would normally cost $400, for $350, & i was so annoyed i just agreed & left needless to say i will never do anything like that again, but to anyone else in the same situation, if they dont already have your credit card info, consider yourselves lucky

from all the threads i've read on the subject it sounds like Circuit City is conning people on a national level - they should be investigated by the BBB

i got a price adjustment on a dvd once from amazon (it was only a buck difference, but i'll take it), just email them & if the price dropped w/i a reasonable amt of time they'll credit your account

Anyone know of sales w/ better deals than on BF? For example Target is going to have Nintendo DS for $99.99 in December. I was watching CNN & some WalMart guy hinted that they have some surprises in store in terms of sales.

god bless walmart! i was able to pm from 3 different stores! revlon lip gloss (walgreens) $0.99 (wm's price is $5-something) coldplay x&y (circuit city) $6.99 ($14) NOW 20 (best buy) $7.99 ($14) was going to pm a few dvds, then found out they were part of wm's 3.44 sale! :g_dance:
