  6. as a matter of fact i'm watching a&e's biography: santa claus, from which i just learned about the tradition of the feast of st. nicholas..apparently church leaders werent too happy about him being more popular with little kids than jesus, so they created a similar 'character,' kris kringle, who did what st. nick did, but on christmas, & it was a combination of these 2 figures that became santa claus in the 1800s

  11. just got ours from home depot today, prices were $25-$50 for regular-size trees we got a 9ft fir i believe for $35...the ones for $30 are the most popular walmart here tho had them for $18-32, & local places average about $30-40

  13. outlets are usually in big malls, but are sometimes stand-alone stores by themselves or grouped together...for example here in new jersey there's a mall called jersey gardens which is about half-outlets & half regular stores, & towns like secaucus & flemington are big tourist destinations because they have multiple groupings of stand-alone stores with everything from hanes to coach you can do a search for local ones, the big chains have locations all over (like banana republic, ralph lauren, kenneth cole, etc) merchandise is usually from previous seasons, & the markdowns can be slight or major, depending on what they have & when it's from
  14. good question...well i grabbed one of the samsung dvdrs on bf for my parents to give me for xmas, & i have a list of some stuff on amazon, but i think my top 2 things are an upgrade to a dvr from the regular digital cable i have now, & the new ralph lauren perfume called pure turquoise (smells awesome!) mostly tho it's hard for me to think of stuff for myself, i def put most of my brain power into scouting out gifts for others
