  1. We don't have goodwill in our area and I really doubt they go to the Salvation Army here but might have to check that out-our Salvation Army is a real old, dingy spot, it wouldbe weird to see new stuff there......They must of shipped it out of our area????
  2. I hurried out this morning when I saw the MixMax was 75%, none in our store, in fact nothing of the Disney Mix sticks anywhere, not covers, discs or the actual players so I asked since there was a ton there on Fri and he said they salvaged them out and they left the store. WHAT, I told him that they went to 75% yesterday in some areas and he told me because we are a HOT area that they moved them out, they are trying something new. What the hecks up with that, are they going to another area to sell at 75%? or 50%. I was disappointed since that is the only way the kids are going to get these type of things since I think they were way overpriced to begin with (for storage capacity) I wonder if we are not going to get the electronic deals we usually do. Oh, wish I had looked at Neopets Fairie one, didn't see it in any clearance but worth a scan next time I am in.
  3. Ok I bought both sewing machines and brought home, not much of a sewer but seems the Singer is better? because of the price. I need to choose one, whats your opinion or anyone out there? Thank you
  4. Found a decent deal, do you remember the Bedazzler? Well, its back and called GeMagic, my daughter wants to put rhinestones on her jeans and I just looked at these prior to the 10th of Jan and they were $19.99, today found them for $4.98! Wahoo, great gifts for the tween or teen girl. I was surprise since it was marked with 30% and just the 75%, so it just jumped in down in price. Found tennis rackets for $3.24 and fishing poles for $4.98, this is the time when sporting stuff is cleared out for the new stuff coming in, so alot of baseball, golf and camping type gear are clearancing out. Found a few little things but very happy with the GeMagic
  5. Target is starting to clearance last seasons out, might check there, got my sons for $3.74
  6. The several times we have gone to Orlando we have rented townhomes and been extremely pleased with it. We have always found great deals for $100 to $120 a night, we went over abit to the next town but stayed in the Regal Palms Resort (about 20 miles away from Disney) which has a small river rafting type pool and enjoyed it. I would recommend it to anyone staying more than several days, food will eat you alive and in all these places you can shop (grocery stores all over) and have food in house. There are plenty of places that deliver too. The closer you stay to Disney, you could even come back for a couple hours to have lunch and a swim and go back to the park until closing, great for those with toddlers. All you have to really type in your search is vacation homes in Orlando and you will get a boat load. If we were going to stay for an extended period I would do what another person mention and get in on the "tours" 90-min presentation and usually get really cheap condo/townhouse/house with some tickets for an amazing price
  7. If you take a pad of paper in with you, you can write down the dcpi number and input it at the price scanners (or at least in our store you can). Its usually the set of numbers that have three numbers than a space three numbers space etc, it might work with the UPC code too. I have done this with items that are too heavy to life or drag around to the scanner LOL. The number might be on the shelf too, I was doing that for awhile with the electric guitars that were clearancing out, I just wrote the number down and checked the scanner each time.
  8. Its as safe as any other secured site that you may use. I agree never click on an email to access your account, always go to the site and check it out, too many spam emails out there. I have been on since they started and really like it but it does cost to use. If you have a personal account and can stay within their limitations than its free to use but if you want to use it on like eBay, you will need to get a premier account or have two separate accounts. If you advertise Paypal is available on eBay, than you must bump up to a premier account. I have seen people who have paypal and just list other and when someone emails them about use of paypal, they give them their personal account addy. There is limits on how much you can receive each month and now they did add a few CC transactions are allowed on it so if you are not doing much than you can use it. Some people as I said have both and if someone is paying with CC than they give them the premier account addy, if using instant transfer or echeck than personal account addy (very confusing I know). I personally have the premier one and include the cost of doing business in shipping and handling portion of the auction or in the pricing of the item.
  9. Does anyone know if you can buy a TV like this 20" and convert it into a monitor, special cords? or can't be done?
  10. Don't know what your budget is but maybe a small little tykes or step 2 climber set or very small little climbing cube or house. I also saw on TRU site blew up pools that have balls, so like a small ball pit, can be used indoors or out. I don't think you need to get much for a one year old but the sandbox idea is fun, small swingset or climbing cube that has a slide, the little coupes or cars get alot of use out of them, though at 1 they are moving as fast as say a 2 year old so maybe something they can push around at first would be better. If you get a small climbing cube, it could be used indoors too. We had a ton of the yard plastics when the kids were small-house, climbing cubes, swing sets-you might even find someone selling theirs for a great price in the paper. Small kitchen set or workbench works great for kids to, if you go to TRU online or any of the toy shops online, you can pick 12 mths-24mths and it will give you age appropriate toys.
  11. Funny, I got the giftbag once, it looked like a treat bag like you give out at parties.....and there was only one in the box, i had got about 9 CD's
  12. Oh did you all use the Target Kissable candy coupon to get Christmas Kissables for free, I used 6 today.....
  13. Ours had about 9 boxes, I just set in my mind I was not going to pay $20 for 2 trees LOL So I will check again LOL We only have the one Target so if I don't get it, I guess I don't.
  14. Our Target was not 90% but didn't have a ton but the item that I want is still there, I am looking at the 2 pk 4.5 trees, would love those for the deck! Also I got the ESPN football from LNT for $40 shipped and thought that was good but our Target still has it for $70. The Lionel Train is also high at $174 but I will be watching that, my 10 yr old son is a train fanatic.
  15. Sears has some great deals too, free in home delivery.
  16. Ours here in Montana are 75% off and I am seeing it pop up everywhere at 75% so call but have them call someone in the back area to check, we had kids working today who didn't even know it was 75% until I went through early this morning LOL
  17. hit the motherlode, we still have a ton of items and I went right at 8 and no one there for over an hour. I should of slept in for abit and than went LOL
  18. Yes it was! Great deal, I got some chairs early fall and wanted to do the same thing (got them at 50%) but they never made it to 75%, oh well, love to have gotten them at $17 versus $35.... I hate buying something and it goes on sale like that, $1 or $2, I am not going to mess with it but when you can save $5 or more than its worth it. Funny thing, I took back some of the $1 spot items before they went on sale because I didn't need them, I guess I get tired of having stuff lie around. Now if I had bought them at a quarter, well they can lie around LOL......
  19. I feel the same way but what I do is keep the receipts and buy the clearance one and turn around and return it with the other receipt, as long as its within the stores accepted return dates. Target is nice because its 90 days, so I know if I buy late Nov or so that I can return it. The kids don't even know it because I carry the receipts in the car and bring the item to the car, get the receipt and return it. I don't do this with all things but have on some larger buys. I loved when Amazon did 75% right before the holiday, got some great last min things and they all got here in time.
  20. I have kept track for two years the Target clearance and found that 7 days including the holiday Christmas 75% begins, that is Dec 31st, marked it on my calendar from last year. Other holidays its the 4th day including the holiday that 75% clearance had appeared. Now our store has not varied from this schedule
  21. Really push the case, that is horrible, she is lucky nothing happened to her hands, it could have cut off the circulation and than you would be dealing with a bigger problem. I definitely would get with Corp and also the manager of your Target. See if your mom put this on her CC or check, than send the items back to her and have her return them as defective. We had the same problem with ones bought from Disney, they were so darn small, my daughter is petite but tall so I always have to get them at least a size or two too big and when she could even get it on, there is something wrong. I think since the clothing is farmed out of country, they are not paying attention to quality and standards of size. It is amazing how the sizes can vary that much even within the same brand. You could call the store back and talk with the manager, no one else and say that if this isn't taking care of than you will pursue this in court, this could be grounds for a class action suit. Also, there are agency's that monitor toys and childrens clothing and safety hazards. Since this isn't isolated to one set but both sets were the same, I definitely would also contact the appropriate agency, you can't be the only one having this problem and a little one is going to be seriously hurt with this type of defect. Just think of the children who are alittle more plump and their hands.
  22. If you are only there for one day, this might not be the best use of time, usually its not real early in the morning so you may have to wait until 10 or 11 to do the session, if you can do it the day before than maybe worth the time. Usually they don't want kids in the sessions either which may or may not be a problem. There are other deals where you can get free lodging too if you are staying a night or two. These places are all over WDW area, they are on bill boards etc. Mousesavers is a good site and also the link below, they discuss everything Disney and might be some sales going on or promotions http://disboards.com/#gold-disneyland-disboardshome
  23. Just a note, I see these type of things on clearance after Christmas all the time. Last year saw the slurpee, easybake etc all on targets 75% clearance, would make a great birthday gift and you could probably get it for $6 or so bucks.
  24. That funny you had a issue, I did with Dicks Sporting Goods, which I think all three sporting ones are the same thing-Dicks, Sports Authority and Fogdog. I was looking for two items, found them on Dicks so placed the order on the 11th, plenty of time to get here. I never did receive confirmation, so I called last Fri and they said they didn't have it to contact google. So I did! OH my god, I have gone back and forth with auto emails about it for three days. No one looks or really answers the emails. I needed to replace these items so I looked on Sports and Fogdog, they had the same exact things, same price and same shipping but didn't want to risk another order????? I see there is a pending CC charge but nothing about it
  25. I t hink I would start a credit card dispute, that will get their attention, it shouldn't take weeks to issure a refund. At least with CC, you can say not received item and they will reverse the charges.
