Look around your house, I bet you have Star War items that can be used for decorations. You could also go with stars, planets etc too instead of the licensed items. Get online and copy off things your could tape around the house or put on poster board. I got the Darth Tater backpack clips but at Christmas for 75% off. Walk around Target and Walmart and see what pops up in clearance. I always type in the party theme I am after and see what pops up on the internet, alot of great ideas are floating around. I love the lightsaber ideal, could even do it with wrapping paper cardboard and have them decorate it as one of the activities, just buy star/planet stickers and markers, tinfoil etc for decorating or even colored tape. You could make your own Pin the helmet on Darth game by printing out a pic of Darth Vader and than printing helmets and cutting them out?

You're right, just checked. I have only one of each so far, got them for my husbands Easter basket (hope they are good LOL) I might jut get a few more before they expire but I think I might be the only here in Montana using them LOL, they hadn't seen the coupon before but had no problem with it.

There is a pretzel one, lemon crunch one too.

I see the original poster has added below that the clerk knew that she was giving an additional % off? I do want to note I was not venting but expressing my belief about the honesty of the situation, I guess below the poster has added the clerk knew what she was doing. I wish that the additional info about the clerk knowing she was given additional % off was given in the original post as I would not have commented on the transaction. I based my opinion on the info given.

I wrote down the clearance schedules from the last couple of years and I have that on Feb 23rd last year, the Global stuff went to 75%

The Target ad for our area has the Global Bazaar stuff at 50% off.

You are lucky they allowed you to return. They are very strict at our Target on seasonal items, they can not be returned once it goes to the next % off, like I bought at 50% and returned them after it went 75%. It does say right on the back of their receipts (or did) that seasonal stuff will be refunded at the present day price. I can though return the $1 stuff at the front of the store (see spot section), in fact I have some that I bought at 50% that I can return since I got the same thing at 75%

I have noted from last year that Global Bazaar stuff went 75% on the 23rd of February. So maybe that is when it goes this year.

I am glad someone has renters insurance. I do property management and actually have a line in the agreement about getting insurance to cover loss and I don't think any of our tenants do it.

LOL Kids are houdini's, they can get out of most things. Its funny that your son strips, I would try to get my son to wear just a t-shirt and his diapers when it was hot but he insisted on having shirt, shorts, shoes and socks on all the time. LOL Now at 10, he runs around in no shirt and boxer underwear. The one thing they were not allowed to escape from was the car seat and was very lucky, they stayed put when in the car, yes they could unlock the buckle but they didn't LOL

Just curious, why do you think he is taking off his clothes like that? Is he hot? I don't remember the kids taking their clothes off, funny thinking about it though.

Don't they sell these in a kit, I think it would be cheaper to buy to kit, I believe I have seen them around $10, not sure if they are actually from the makers of build a bear but at Christmas time, I did see some Christmas bears like this.

The coupons are good at either type of Targets, regular or Super. I use them at ours and its just a regular one.

Go with the color scheme aqua/teal and pink for the napkins, plates, decorations and just get one or two items that are actually Little Mermaid (keep looking, you will find some great deals between now and June) BTW, I have Little Mermaid jewelry if you are interested, sell you the whole lot, there are 14 little Mermaid Jewelry packs, they either have a necklace and ring, three rings or a necklace. If you are interested send me a private message and I can email a pic over to you. Just make offer, I am cleaning out the garage and finding old party favors that didn't get used etc.

One more thing, if you don't want to do a bunch of little favors, go for just one like maybe a big bottle of bubbles, coloring book with marker or crayons attached, a large candy bar, maybe there is a sale on 4-6 packs of playdoh or modeling clay, clearance toy that fits the theme or the summer stuff is being put out, maybe a outside play toy like paddles or sidewalk chalk. You can make a Thank you sticker or label and attached it to the one item, you can make candybar wrappers all sizes (many online free sites with templates). It can double as a thank you card too by having you child sign it.

how many children? If you look at target in the Valentine section, there is a big bag of little playdohs, there were like 20 or 30 in the package and it was like $3.99, you could give each child two or three depending on your head count. If the party is after V-day, than check out the clearance of these items, they are always leftover. They have packages of pencils, pens, erasers, playdoh, little crayon packs and other things (since they are designed for class valentine parties). I would also check out the $ stores for things that have mult items in the package, like post its, pencils, crayons etc. You can always take apart a larger pack of something to give. If its all girls or all boys than you can customize to be just one or the other. I tend to try and customize the treat bag to somewhat match the theme of the party, you might look around at Walmart, Target and $ stores and buy accordingly. When my daughter was like 4, we did a luau theme and since her birthday is in Jan, we were able to get at 75% off green icicles that were still attached to a line and we made grass skirts with them for the kids (stapled it onto wide ribbon so we could tie it around), bought a bunch of sunglasses (available in multi packs in birthday aisle) and lei's (again in the birthday aisle), the treat bags had items related to the theme but since we gave glasses and leis, it was a little smaller treat bags. Last year was a fairy theme so I went with fairy necklaces, earrings and bracelets, some pencils and candy and was a hit. The treat bags can be the ones you buy (cello) or you can have the kids decorate their own bags (lunch bags can buy them in white or brown). You can check out OrientalTrading.com for more ideals, their items come usually in a dozen pack but can get alittle pricey after a few packs of items with shipping etc. But its great for ideals. When the kids were younger we had prizes for winning the games and it can range from a notebook, folder to maybe a pack of crayons.

Did all of them have some character associated with them, like does the pink have princesses on them? I know the purple one did but I was searching and they have chrome, blue, bluish tint, orange (HS musical), purple and pink ones, I think ours only had the orange, pink and purple. I wish we had more than one to search at LOL (Target I mean LOL)

Last Friday I would say they had at least 30 or so players and a ton of accessories with some mix clips so i was excited to see that some were finding they had been marked 75% (ours was 50% on Friday, even commented to hubby about them and great Easter gifts) and went back on Tues early AM and nothing. So I asked and he said they salvaged them? I asked why and he said something about our store as hot and they are trying something new? I got the feeling that they feel this area is weathy and that if someone won't buy it at 50% they will try somewhere else. Our area is a college town that has boomed with people who came in with money from other areas and drove our economy through the roof. Most people make under $32K here so the clearance is a godsend for most of us. Oh well, hope its short lived LOL

I don't get it, how come your Target has the MixMax down to 75% and ours cleared them out on Sun as not to discount them, I wonder why some still let them go down and others pulled it. I hope that ours is not doing this now??? I need to find the purple and maybe one that is more boyish like the HS Musical (did they have others). The clips should of been with the players (near them) Ours had both the players and clips together in the same section and all was at 50% on Fri and than by Mon they pulled them and shipped them out? Might have to go to Disney.com or eBay for the clips. If anyone gets some extras and wants to sell them, please PM. I can paypal....Do you think they are not going to make the clips etc anymore? By the way, these were the new batch that were brought in about a month before Christmas, I remember the electronics guy talking about it when I was buying the clearanced other mixsticks and we talked about the video max one? Why did they clear out so suddenly?

My daughter has the CD's and I just uploaded them to the computer and downloaded them to the mixstick.....The CD's are cheaper unless you can get the clips on clearance. I was going to get them on the little clips too but our Target took all of them out before clearancing them to 75%, I was so bummed. I was hoping to get the kids the mixmax at $25 with some of the clips for Easter, I guess that was a no go! Disappointing. If anyone has extras of the MixMax's, I would love to buy them, looking for purple tink one and one other kinda of boyish but the HS musical one might work. I have some of the mixsticks from the first clearance round that we could trade (I think they are the 128 ones but would have to check but also have the little cases to put them in for a fairer trade?)
