Omaha steaks have some deals going, sorry don't know about their quality....My parents like food too, I usually give them a gift certificate to The Crab House....I think gift certificates are great for those that have everything.

We have a long rectangle table and down the center I lay christmas greens out then I tuck a string of christmas lights in the green or you can lay the lights out first and set the greens over them, I than make a centerpiece, either a centerpiece with greens and ribbons with candle in the middle or last year I had a large burg vase and put foam in it (just tight at the top) and got beautiful deep red roses at Costco and put them in the foam with greenery and gold ribbons, you could even get gold balls different sizes and either glue them in or glue a pick on them and insert them, than I place all kinds of candles tucked in the greenery on the table, different sizes are very fun as long as they somewhat match in color. I did see over at Lakeside they had some small votives in the red/gold tone and matching larger candle holders which would give the table depth. At night with the lights dimmed and the christmas lights on, it sparkles. Oh, and I sprinkle either glitter or snowflakes (artificial ones) all over the greenery....

Ok, I looked it up, won't put the defin. here because it is an euphemism for the F word, its just the slang term......so yes, I believe someone can take it as saying the word but that is not up to the employee to judge what you say in front of your child nor for BAD service, they could of simply stated they didn't know when the next shipment was coming in and she was more than welcome to call back and see if the games had come in. I don't understand when an employee on the floor says they are too busy to help the customer, isn't that their job? I know when I am in Target, if I have question, they stop what they are doing and help me and even walk me to the section that I am looking for, now that is customer service!

OOS: Great Deal On Videonow Xp From Hasbro
Stowasser replied to Tracy72's topic in Deal Finder & Deal Discussion
Oh man missed the coupon by two days -
Ok, I didn't go but about 10 pages and didn't see anything I wanted anyway so I didn't realize there were some that were for XP but glad I didn't spend alot of time to find out about the high shipping LOL

I use computer designed labels for tags and print in a really neat font, never use those labels for anything else so they don't know its from me or the computer, but I will print out a couple of sheets for each kid and its so nice to have them all ready after wrapping and plop that on there. Hallmark makes some really nice ones and you can buy them anywhere, Walmart, Target etc.

Alot of the games are older, some are just up to Win98 or Win2000, I was reading some of the reviews and alot of people were having trouble with the games playing on their WinXP computers so paying $6 for the game after shipping isn't really that great of a deal. Right now Target is clearing out alot of their bargain ones and I have picked up several for $2.48 that were more current.

My parents winter in FL so I just stash it in one of the bedrooms, it is so nice because I spread it out and I can take an accounting, in fact, I am in the process of taking everything over there now. I keep it in our closet and under the bed....The kids still haven't figured it out, they are 10 and 11 and know their isn't Santa or is there? Since they have never foudn the toys and they have gotten some extremely large ones (including a double basketball stand up game last year) they just don't know what to think! They have searched the house, garage, sheds to no avail, even made Dad open up the crawl space-I just snicker....
-
Looks like our house, I put out alot, won last year third place, was disappointed because half the stuff wasn't out (Montana gets in the negative numbers in Dec) yet since it was so cold. I am going to work on getting it going after Thanksgiving so that its out for the judges by Dec5th.....I do the fence, yard displays, outside Christmas trees (great find, artifical ones from garage sales, just put outside lights on it, usually people will even give you them!), On the eves of the house, around all windows with garland and lights, around garage doors with garland and lights....Well, anywhere I can find to decorate....Yes, I go overboard but hey someone has too!

We have a German tradition of leaving our lists out for Santa on the night of Dec 5th in our shoes, he picks up the list and leaves some goodies! They love this, I usually know most of their wants and the list helps with some last min ideas. I tell them they can make the list as long as they want, but its a WISH list so some gifts may come and other may not but that their grandparents give them money so they can fill in with what Santa misses.....Of course, they are 10 and 11 so Santa is becoming a figment of mom's imagination but I tell them if they don't believe than no gifts LOL, they know I am kidding but its sad when they find out and the mystery is "kinda" of gone.....though, they are still trying to figure out where I hide everything-especially the large basketball game they got last year (you know the ones at Arcades where you throw the basketballs in for points, it stands about 7' tall and has two baskets) LOL, I will never tell!

Amazon prices if found to be high might be because it is an item being sold by an individual not a store. Toys R Us is no longer affilated with Amazon they have their own website so the toys listed on Amazon maybe from Target or it maybe an individual. The prices are also high because Amazon charges about 20% to list those items, its steep to list there.....

Well, there you go Elmo can substitute for the TMX one, just hold him and shake and laugh LOL

We usually go to my fathers/step moms for Thanksgiving and here for Christmas, but this year will be interesting since she has heart problem in which she has drastically reduced salt in her diet??? So, we are trying to do alot of low salt or no salt things. We went over there for dinner not to long ago and the kids just picked at stuff, admittedly not very tasty LOL. Our family is not big fans of Turkey, its good but extreme in the leftover dept. I wouldn't mind going out and taking in a movie, that sounds like fun.

Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2005-06

Oh, I guess not, our Target is fairly new (couple years old now) and the scanners have numbers to the right side, I just assumed all Targets had these type of scanners. You might try asking one of the employees, maybe they have another suggestion... -

I am going to guess these are back near camping gear where they have a bunch of kids toys like balls etc. I saw alot of sleeping bags for kids (indoor kind) on clearance. I got my kids some tent sets a couple of years ago for playing indoors with them-they just pop up and easy take down. They have had many slumber parties in the tents, it is fun and can be set up anywhere. The sets I got had a tent, chair, sleeping bag and something else for $15 (on sale not clearance at the time). It was around Christmas time too when they came out so watch the sales ad, abit more than the $7.48 or so but came with chair and extras so not a bad deal -
My thoughts too, oh and I thought how is she going to eat all that before it goes bad. I didn't know that choc freezes really well....doesn't work for hard candy but I get extras after the holidays and keep it in the freezer. Its always funny eating halloween snicker bars in July but candy is candy...LOL

I learned something recently that I either missed or didn't register before but you don't have to scan an item (like a TV is hard to actually carry over to scanner) to get the price etc. There is a code at the top of the red sticker and you can just input that into the scanner and it will tell you the price, if any in back and where its located. I recently did this with something on my receipt, wanted to see if it went down but didn't want to carry the item over to the scanner. I believe the UPC code would work too? Just something I learned lately..... -
When I do clearance shopping at Target, I always bring someone else with me (if I can) and they stand at my cart and I just go into the aisle and pick what I want and bring it back. I usually make my husband do it since its kinda of big and no one would bother him. They do ask him where he got such and such a thing and he laughs and tells them to find me! We are in a smaller area and clearance use to not be that crowded but in the last year its amazing how many people have caught on! No fights yet. I did hear about some at our local Walmart over the laptops and was surprised but combine hot deals with early morning and no coffee, most people are cranky!
-
I have a funny story, its not really about fighting but taking things from carts. I was in a Walmart a really long time ago after I guess Halloween. I really was not into sales etc, just a young pup but anyway there was this cart there with a bunch of candy bags. They were selling all the bags of candy for a quarter apeice so I was sorted through it when a woman starts shouting and running up to me, I must looked at her funny and of course, everyone stopped and was staring at this woman. I guess it was her cart that I was sorting through....LOL There must of been a hundred bags of candy in that thing! I just set everything back in there gently and went over to the other carts but everyone was snickering at this woman for having this meltdown over chocolate! Of course, several people mentioned they thought it was one of the carts that has been put out with candy it it too so I didn't feel that bad.....She didn't hit me but geez, you think I was stealing her Elmo or laptop the way she yelled! LOL

Curious can you use pumpkin pie mix (in the can) or just pure pumpkin puree from can? Just curious if there is a difference besides spices?
-
Yes, I saw them at Target about 4 weeks ago, they are in with the section that has Polly Pockets etc....Cute...
