I think you misunderstood what I was saying. My reasons for not shopping at Wal-Mart have nothing whatsoever to do with Black Friday. Who was wrong in the situation I quoted? I don't know. All I was doing was EXPLAINING why WM is the way they are about thier ads. And i can assure you, I don't care who thinks otherwise, i do NOT shop there. I am sure plenty of people do, but please do not belittle me when I was simply trying to answer a question. And do not think you know anything about me. I do not shop at Wal-Mart because I believe they have a lot of very shady practices, and they are a big part of what's wrong with our country. That is my opinion, and that is all that matters. I have not stepped foot in a WM in about 4 years now. So please

I was in Kmart the other day & heard someone ask aout Layaway. There is a $5 Layaway charge, a $5 cancellation charge and I *believe she said a $5 charge to chNGE WHAT YOU HAVE, IE: DROP ONE ITEM, ADD AN ITEM. I am not sure of the details, but I would look into it before biting. and sorry about the caps, ...stupid cast lol.

Mervyns left the south yeas ago. I still miss them. Mervyn's always had the best clearance, way before Target. I think Mervyn's is what starting my money saving obsession, lol. Sad to see them go

Yes, Ohio has some law that makes doorbuster prices almost impossible, so most things are significantly higher.

TRU is usually my last stop. By then the lines have gone down a lot, and they still have most of what I want. Of course, I'm usually after something video game related, and they are one of the only stores (besides Traget) that actaully seems to order plenty of the items (with exception to doorbusters of course).

The real uestion is will CC make it to Black Friday....they are teetering on bankruptcy, and are very close to the point of no return. I loved CC when they sold appliances. Got a fridge and a vaccum there for awesome prices. Since then, not so much

Target book should be in soon, since the coupons usually expire right before turkey day and are usually good for 4 weeks. I'm thinking next weekend.

You can download it if you buy it from the blizzard site, but it wont be avail. immediately. Or, you can install it with your key, then you always have the option to download. And it doesnt take much for wow. I play on a 9ish year old computer. And because of the last patch, my HD is too small to load it So I have been playing on the $199 e-machine i got my kids last christmas. really, anything you can buy from a big box retailer will run wow fine.

I could care less about the WM ad, as I refuse to shop there for any reason whatsoever. For those wondering, WM does not want thier ad leaked in fears of what happened 2 years ago. Best Buy came out with a photocopied flyer a day or two before BF, and undercut most of WM's prices. However, last year best buy got out of pajama sales, and walmart was in the clear. they had that market cornered. and if i recall correctly, people were seeing those garth brooks sets for weeks after. i think its all silly, but it gets publicity for wm. you know the old saying, no publicity is bad publicity...

really? we just had one open, and for the 1st 3 weeks they had awesome deals on fresh food. like, .50 lettuce, .29/lb bananas, .99 3lb bags of apples....

Just got back from Kmart. Noone knew what to do, luckily there was a lady from Corp. there & she showed them how to do it. I ended up spending $18.23, my subtotal was $198.17. I think I did pretty well

I was told by corp that the states involved are KY, CA, IO, AR, and one other. But they did say that if it goes over well and they see enough enthusiasm from shoppers that this will be rolled out chain-wide!

SAHM here too, but DH has to work. He always schedules himself to work the evening shift, which means 1pm. I have to get everything done & home by 12:30 at the latest It stinks, but I guess it makes for better time mgt, lol.
