I'll miss having money to spend! No, in all seriousness, I'll miss heading to stores at 2-3 AM with my friend trying to get good deals as soon as the stores open. I haven't got to do that in a few years and just really miss doing it. This year doesn't change that, but maybe stores might stop opening on Thanksgiving depending on how sales are this year which would bring back more of the "fun" of the days of yore.

I've considered getting the new xbox just because it will play some older games. I don't have an Xbox One and my xbox 360 I feel is starting to be on its last legs (10 year plus run, I can't complain), so its something to consider. I doubt I'll buy it this year though, I'll wait a year or so. I'll probably have to sell some stuff off to get it (I planned on selling some stuff anyways, so it gives me a reason to clear some clutter). The backwards compatibility is really the only reason I'd get one. Only a couple 360 games I own would work (I play mostly sports games), but I figure with most Xbox One games working (minus the Kinect games), I could buy some used and wouldn't have to buy so many brand new games. In the meantime, my 360 still works, and I just found 3 NES systems in storage and have been having a blast playing some Mario and other games. Maybe I might not need a new system on second thought.

Made a trip to Walmart this week and saw not only was Halloween stuff out (obviously), but they already had Christmas lights and trees out. I think they was there a couple weeks ago too but man is it way too early for that stuff.

Checking in for the month. I was hoping to win the Publisher's Clearinghouse at the end of August and that could get some nice gifts for people, but alas, it didn't happen. I guess I'll keep trying. Have a great month everyone!

Another month, and not much has changed. At least its cooled off a bit so I can make a few trips to storage and do some cleaning. It gives me a chance to go out and not be around people, and find stuff I forgot I still had. Hope to make a few more trips this week before it warms back up.

I'm okay with them being closed. It could be interesting how Black Friday becomes going forward. I would assume they'd post more online deals creating less foot traffic for their stores in future years if it is a success. That all depends on how smooth it goes.

Checking in for July. My small town has decided to go ahead and have their annual rodeo, but they won't have a beer garden. If anything I figured they'd cancel the rodeo and keep the beer garden. But they can still bring their own so the drunks still have a place to go.

It's June and all the days are blending together. Starting to get out of the endless cycle of virus news and now protesting is filling up the airwaves. I'm not getting political on here, but its good to find a place like this that you can escape all that for a bit and enjoy a happy place with other members. I may not post as much anymore, but I've always admired the peacefulness of the site and wish there were more like it on the interwebs. Hope everyone has a good month as we inch closer to Black Friday, if many businesses even make it until then.

Weather here has been a mixed bag, right now its day three (I think) of raining. I'm not complaining too much, but I did manage to get to storage and grab a few things and store stuff away before it got too bad. Hope to do some more in a couple weeks. Hope its not too warm by then.

I'm hoping things are starting to get back to normal. I really dread making a Walmart trip today, but need to get some medicine so might as well get everything now so I won't have to make another trip next week. On the bright side, by staying in I've managed to get some work done on my computer I've neglected for the past few months. So at least I got something done. It wasn't until last night that I realized I didn't check in for the month, which isn't surprising since I haven't been on many of my normal sites lately. Spotty internet makes me want to visit as few sites as possible, but luckily its starting to speed back up.

Hope everyone had a great Easter, or as least as good of one as possible. Mine wasn't too special, but I don't think it would have been too different otherwise. Too bad I won't be able to get out to get some after Easter deals though.

Probably going to make one last Walmart/supermarket run for a couple weeks this morning. Hopefully it won't be too crowded, and luckily I only need a few things. Unfortunately once of those items is toilet paper, so I hope I can find some. Being in a rural location, I expect at worst I can find some at Dollar General that should hold me over until the hysteria dies down. Hope everyone is safe, and hopefully things will get better soon.

I've been busy the last month, and haven't been online much. I didn't do much for my birthday, but still had a great time. I hope the warm weather this weekend is an indication of whats to come.

I tried not to get excited all week for the Super Bowl, but with about a minute left, my heart was beating so fast. I can't believe the Chiefs won. In a way I'm sad I missed all the hoopla building to the game, but just happy they won. Checking in for the month and might be in the house a lot because of a snowstorm this week. Hope everyone is safe.
-
An unexpected snowfall has begun here today, but luckily its supposed to be less than an inch. Later this week though we may not be too lucky. But hey, my team is playing in the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years, so I'll take a little snow.

I rang in the New Year by playing solitaire... alone. But hey, at least I stayed up until midnight. I think 2020 will be a good year, so I can't complain about that. Hope everyone had fun and has a great year.

I haven't really started decorating yet, but have a couple items out. I'll probably get the rest of the stuff out this week. Usually I do it the week after Thanksgiving, so nothing has really changed this year.

Checking in for the month, kind of bummed. I didn't do any Black Friday shopping this year aside from a card site I got to where I bought 5 cards. I was already tight on money, so I didn't expect to get much anyways, but got a curveball a couple days before announcing rent was going up, so I'll have to find more ways to pinch pennies now. I'm not too worried about it, but still was a bit of a bummer. Oh well, its Christmastime and things will get better. Gotta stay positive. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Waiting for this one. Not a bad one, but a couple of the items I wanted had mail in rebates, which I don't like. That Bubba Cooler looks kind of cool though.

I guess Frozen II is the hot ticket toy items this year. Not sure if my nieces are into it much, but something to keep an eye out on.

I've never seen a "toilet paper blaster" before, but 15 bucks sounds like a decent price.

I love that they always have sales on digital, and sometimes you can get free credit. I've gotten a few free movies that way. Though I'm a bit cautious because rumor is they might be selling the service, and if they do, who knows what will happen to the digital movies you own. That's also why I like buying physical copies of movies I like.

Maybe not a "big" ad to most, but now just waiting for the Menards ad.

Hey, a four slice toaster! Too bad I've been seeing them for $20 right now or else I would have considered it.
