I checked out their site last night but didn't see much, think it was more on me not really navigating the site well. Had some pretty decent prices on stuff though, just nothing I was looking for. Thanks anyways.

I'm hoping to find a great deal on a laptop, but I won't be too picky. The only other thing I'll be on the lookout for is some cheap kitchen items. Need a new toaster and coffee pot and could probably get a few new utensils, but I hardly see utensils on sale on Black Friday.

Leaves are starting to fall that can only mean one thing- Black Friday is growing ever so closer.

Checking in for the month of September. My laptop was running worse so I decided to dig out the old desktop to use. It runs Windows 7, but it works good enough until I can get something else. While I don't like them as much, I might consider a Chromebook for my next laptop then do my non-internet stuff on the desktop. Maybe I can find a good Black Friday deal. If not it may be until next spring until I can afford a new system.

Checking in for August, and I really have nothing to talk about. I try to think of something to mention, but this month- nothing. Maybe I'll check back in later in the month with something to talk about. Until then I'll try to think of something.

Another month in the books, and it looks like my laptop is nearing its end of life. I run it pretty hard, and just noticed I've had it almost 5 years, so I can't really complain. Hopefully it will hold out until Black Friday. Not sure I can even afford one then, but we'll see. I'll keep checking in as long as I can.

June is here and the weather is nice. I think I might try to build a bookshelf. I'm not sure how good it will be, but its fun to try to build something.

The weather is nice and can finally open the windows. Hopefully it stays like this for a few weeks before it gets too hot.

Last week the weather was hitting 30 degrees for the overnight low and in a few days the high is supposed to be 92. Quite the swing, but I hope its a sign the cold weather is done for the year. Now its time to finish the Spring Cleaning and hit some garage sales.

About 10 PM last night a neighbor randomly started shooting off fireworks. For about 5 minutes non-stop. At first I was worried it might have been gunshots (then realized there were too many so it had to be fireworks). Then I got worried it was Independence Day and I missed 3 months of posting in this thread. Luckily the show was over quick and realized it was only April. Then I remembered I had to check in for the month. Hope all is well with everyone.

March is starting to look up. A couple packages that seems M.I.A. finally arrived. One just decided to sit at a random USPS center for a few days. I was okay with it, especially since it hasn't happened to me in a long time. The other was FedEx and really was presumed missing for about a week and a half. It was supposed to arrive in 2 days, but I guess the snow in Boston derailed it or something. On the bright side, nothing was missing, and now I don't have to worry. However, last night a VCR I'd been using for a few years finally messed up. I still am trying to convert tapes, and luckily have another, but I guess I'll be on the lookout for another one during auction and garage sale season. Hope everyone has a great month!

Checking in for the month. I haven't used Amazon Prime in probably 3-4 years, but I hardly ever order anything on there, so it wasn't worth it for me. The most use for me would be the TV series, and aside from catching up on Sneaky Pete (I think the last time I had Prime was during season 2), I can't think of anything else I'd want to watch. I just finished up a trial to Discovery+ and was very disappointed. I was hoping for a few more older shows from DIY Network, and to me it was odd that they had A&E programming but not City Confidential. Had they had it I'd likely subscribe at least once a year to catch it. Then again I hear it might be on Prime, so maybe I should check it out again. Most of my TV time these days is spent on Pluto. It would be nice if Pluto added Fox Weather Channel, so I don't have to watch it on Tubi or Roku Channel.

Hope everyone had a safe and Happy New Year. I didn't do much because a supposed winter storm was approaching (plus I don't go out NYE), but luckily a little dusting of snow was all we got.

The year is ending on a mixed note for me, but I'm still alive, and that's all I can ask for. Found out I had to upgrade my phone, but relieved to find out that tracfone was going to pay for it, so I'm moving into the 21st century. Goodbye flip phone, hello Samsung. It's actually for my mom, but she's won't learn to use it, so I'll likely use it more than her. At least she's willing to try to learn it. For a woman who's never used a computer, she's been more open to use technology lately. She learned to used an old Nook Color, and I just bought her a tablet, which is pretty similar to her new phone, so she might get use out of them after all. Need to get new tires for the car, but at least we'll still be able to go places, but still sucks to have an unexpected expense. Oh well, gotta try to stay positive, and move into 2022. Happy New Year everyone.

It's a bit weird being December 1st and the weather is on the verge of 70 degrees. I'm not one that likes cold weather much, but for some reason I am anticipating the first snowfall of the year.

I don't think I'll go there, but it won't be BF without looking at the Menard's Ad.
-
I see a few deals there, I'm not sure if I'll buy anything, but I have been looking for external hard drives.
-
This looks like a pretty decent ad. I don't know what all I'm looking for, but if I had a bit more cash I'd likely consider a few of the sale items.

I forgot to post they I got my shirt yesterday, I was surprised how fast it came. I was even more surprised that it fit me better than I expected (I picked a smaller size on accident). The shirt is a lot nicer in hand that I expected, the light gray is really nice.

While I didn't post as many diatribes this last year, I will return for another year, hopefully I'll have more wordy posts. Can't wait for another exciting year.

Congratulations stina629 on the gift card win, and everyone else on the t-shirt win. As always, there were so many great submissions.

True Navy Heather Royal Blue Heather All look nice though, except the Shadow Gray seems a bit boring.

I miss having a little more money to spend on shopping. As money got tighter, its prevented me from splurging as much, but also prevented me from traveling to stores in person which I enjoyed a lot. Even if I had more money to spend, I'm not sure if I'd go to stores as much. All I really have locally is Walmart and Dollar General, which I still check out, but if I want to go to more stores its an hour or so away, and I don't want to fight the traffic. The last fun year I had going to a bunch of stores was I think the last year Circuit City was open. I think the reason I enjoyed it so much was because I got to hang out with my best friend, it was like a tradition. Those are the memories I miss.

Photo #1: Overheard old-timer- "I miss the old Black Friday sales. I haven't seen one fist fight yet." Upon hearing this a kid replied "Fist Fight? You want it on DVD or Blu-Ray." Photo #2: Even crouching near this wall I feel like I have a target on my back. Photo #3: Little did they know, the Funko's were not Gamestop exclusives.

Can't say I'm excited about the Walmart+ getting early access, but then again, I didn't really see anything of interest. I don't have much of a list this year so maybe that's part of it.
