  1. Cheap toaster is good enough for me. Might buy two.
  2. I really don't know what I'm looking at, but okay. Seems like with more emphasis on online shopping, the experience would be easier to navigate than it was 10 years ago, but its getting worse.
  3. Maybe November will start off good and I'll win the Powerball jackpot. As for the last month, it started out great then closed on a really bad note. Until the last weekend, it was one of the best months in a while. Then I found out that one of my friends parents both died in a car accident. She's handling it well so far, and she is at peace with saying goodbye to them (the family is very religious). She felt blessed to hang out with them all day before the accident, which she doesn't get to do very often. They were very nice people, and while I've lost a parent and a sister, I don't know what it feels like to lose both in the manner she did. Her birthday is a couple weeks away, and I know that will be tough as well. Hope everyone had a great month, and hope to see you guys for the next 12 months if a new prize club is started.
  4. Not too bad, JCP isn't one of my stops, mainly because I hate dealing with Mail In Rebates.
  5. Its good to hear they will be near the front. I usually watch the parade, but haven't the last couple years. When I heard Mizzou was going to be in it, I knew I had to tune in.
  6. Wow, that child mannequin is so lifelike! These TV boxes work well since we forgot the umbrellas. What are the odds I'd run into someone with the same outfit on Black Friday? I love this contest. Even though I already won a hoodie, I still wanted to join in for fun. BTW, the hoodie arrived today and it is amazing, and just in time for this cold snap.
  7. I really wish NBC would start airing Miracle on 34th Street on Thanksgiving again. It's my favorite movie by far. I usually don't like newer Christmas movies but end up watching Grumpy Cat Christmas and Christmas on the Bayou every year. Maybe I'll find some new ones to check out this year.
  8. I think the only ones that interest me this year is Walmart, Dollar General, and Menards. Those are the only stores I'll likely be able to check out. I guess I can look online for deals, but don't really need ads for that.
  9. I'd say I have 95% of the Gottadeal stuff I've gotten over the years (may have lost a couple things in a move or two). I can't wait until Brad gets the time to rescan those ads from previous years. The archive site is one I like wasting time on.
  10. I was surprised to get my package yesterday. What an amazing prize, that I can find many uses for.
  11. I always try to come up with a couple- Where did the year go? How is it now October? Let's bring the deals on! Black Friday is near Brother can you spare a dime I need some money
  12. As Black Friday approaches, I am trying to think of more things to look for and eagerly await more sales to start. Temps are cooling so might have to get some apple cider in the next week or two.
  13. I checked out their site last night but didn't see much, think it was more on me not really navigating the site well. Had some pretty decent prices on stuff though, just nothing I was looking for. Thanks anyways.
  14. I'm hoping to find a great deal on a laptop, but I won't be too picky. The only other thing I'll be on the lookout for is some cheap kitchen items. Need a new toaster and coffee pot and could probably get a few new utensils, but I hardly see utensils on sale on Black Friday.
  15. Leaves are starting to fall that can only mean one thing- Black Friday is growing ever so closer.
  16. Checking in for the month of September. My laptop was running worse so I decided to dig out the old desktop to use. It runs Windows 7, but it works good enough until I can get something else. While I don't like them as much, I might consider a Chromebook for my next laptop then do my non-internet stuff on the desktop. Maybe I can find a good Black Friday deal. If not it may be until next spring until I can afford a new system.
  17. Checking in for August, and I really have nothing to talk about. I try to think of something to mention, but this month- nothing. Maybe I'll check back in later in the month with something to talk about. Until then I'll try to think of something.
  18. Another month in the books, and it looks like my laptop is nearing its end of life. I run it pretty hard, and just noticed I've had it almost 5 years, so I can't really complain. Hopefully it will hold out until Black Friday. Not sure I can even afford one then, but we'll see. I'll keep checking in as long as I can.
  19. June is here and the weather is nice. I think I might try to build a bookshelf. I'm not sure how good it will be, but its fun to try to build something.
  20. The weather is nice and can finally open the windows. Hopefully it stays like this for a few weeks before it gets too hot.
  21. Last week the weather was hitting 30 degrees for the overnight low and in a few days the high is supposed to be 92. Quite the swing, but I hope its a sign the cold weather is done for the year. Now its time to finish the Spring Cleaning and hit some garage sales.
  22. About 10 PM last night a neighbor randomly started shooting off fireworks. For about 5 minutes non-stop. At first I was worried it might have been gunshots (then realized there were too many so it had to be fireworks). Then I got worried it was Independence Day and I missed 3 months of posting in this thread. Luckily the show was over quick and realized it was only April. Then I remembered I had to check in for the month. Hope all is well with everyone.
  23. March is starting to look up. A couple packages that seems M.I.A. finally arrived. One just decided to sit at a random USPS center for a few days. I was okay with it, especially since it hasn't happened to me in a long time. The other was FedEx and really was presumed missing for about a week and a half. It was supposed to arrive in 2 days, but I guess the snow in Boston derailed it or something. On the bright side, nothing was missing, and now I don't have to worry. However, last night a VCR I'd been using for a few years finally messed up. I still am trying to convert tapes, and luckily have another, but I guess I'll be on the lookout for another one during auction and garage sale season. Hope everyone has a great month!
  24. Checking in for the month. I haven't used Amazon Prime in probably 3-4 years, but I hardly ever order anything on there, so it wasn't worth it for me. The most use for me would be the TV series, and aside from catching up on Sneaky Pete (I think the last time I had Prime was during season 2), I can't think of anything else I'd want to watch. I just finished up a trial to Discovery+ and was very disappointed. I was hoping for a few more older shows from DIY Network, and to me it was odd that they had A&E programming but not City Confidential. Had they had it I'd likely subscribe at least once a year to catch it. Then again I hear it might be on Prime, so maybe I should check it out again. Most of my TV time these days is spent on Pluto. It would be nice if Pluto added Fox Weather Channel, so I don't have to watch it on Tubi or Roku Channel.
