I signed up to get the new ads instantly last year. Do I sign up again this year?

I'll go into work on Thanksgivng night. I'll just get my boss to let me come in earlier than my usual 10P start time. I have had to work day shift on Black Friday. It sucked. I conned my hubby into going after the TVs that I wanted. He said never again, lol.

I am in Cincinnati also and didn't know there was a Cato's near here. I used to shop at one in my home town all the time. I will have to check out the store in Milford or over in Newport.

According to a sign I saw yesterday at our local Walmart, their Lay Away will reopen on Jan. 1

They are gone from my local area too, all 4 of them. They were there yesterday. Who knowes if they will have a big sale or not. Maybe they will, maybe they wont.

Cincinnati Mills is filled with outlet stores. I have went shopping there and walked away with some execellent deals.

I think it is dangerous too. I saw an accident due to the driver being distracted by the Easter Bunny walking down the street one time. Don't laugh too hard. This is the truth.

We had a JC Penney to close in one of our malls last year. They did the same thing.

I called the Kmart we shop and they were very vague with me. All they would say about it was it was different items throughout the store.

Sears. Plenty of advertised merchandise. Also KB. I had a wonderful shopping experience at KB Toys. It was so nice not to be in an over crowded store. Helpful employees at both Sears and KB. Edited to add that the Walmart we went to was terrible. I don't think they had a good supply of the sales items because they were out of every single thing I went after. I must not have been the only person that was disappointed at Walmart. I heard plenty of people complaining about Walmart and their lack of merchandise while I was in Sears.

The Joanns I go to has a Black Friday sale. I don't knowwhat time they open because if I go there, it is late in the day.

Do you live in the Cincinnati area? I ask because I heard Bill Cunningham too. Steve Sommers was talking about it later last night too but he didn't sound very anti Walmart . I didn't know that you could go tho their web site and get redirected like that. I have no problem with the Happy Holidays thing but if you can do a search on those two holidays and get info, you should be able to get info on Christmas.

I have gotten so many nice things. I think my all time favorite was the year my Dad had my Grandmaws cameo mounted as a pin for me. Although I never got to meet her, I felt like I had just received a Christmas gift from her. It is priceless to me.

It's never happened to me but it did happen to a friend of mine. She had two DVD players at Walmart and another shopper tried to take on of them from her. The shoppers reason for doing this? My friend had two DVD players and according to the shopper, she only needed one.

Our son is grown and lives away from home. But we do buy for some kids. And I always shop for the name I get off an Angel Tree on Black Friday.

I do. That is when we get our pricier Christmas decorations. One year, I actually bought a few gifts one year. We were not able to go to my Grandparents house till a few days after Christmas so I waited and got their gifts on the day after Christmas.

I visit a Walmart employees web site from time to time and they are saying on there that all Walmart stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day, I guess they are trying to get Kmart customers.

Doesn't bother me in the least. I like to plan ahead.

My thoughts exactly. And may I add, that I think a fanny pack would be a lot safer to carry. I would never carry a regular purse or just put my money and cards in a pocket. Way too easy for a thief to get away with your stuff.

No way would I try to lay away anthing at Walmart on Black Friday. The line at the Walmart we go to almost goes out the door. If you try to do a layaway on Black Friday, I would suggest you have a very good battle plan ready or you will miss out on the other sales.

I could be wrong but I think Kmart has their "Black Friday" sale on Thanksgiving Day. I go to our local Kmart every year on that day and find really good deals. I do know that last year, we went to Kmart on Black Friday and there was no deals, the place was almost deserted.
