I have found hot items at Kroger so be sure to check there. My husband worked third shift, knew I was wanting one for my child from the angel Tree. So if you happen to know a 3rd shift person, let them know what you're looking for.

Macy's, Walmart, Bath and Body Works

I think it will. I look for ads to be available the day after election. You know, to kind of soothe the feelings of those whose candidate lost.

I never have been but my husband was second in line at Walmart. This was years ago, before we had the 24 hour supercenter. He saw a fight! There was 3 women who waited in their nice warm car. They tried to rush the door and the woman ahead of him whipped two of them and offered to do the same to the third woman. LOL, she was smart enough to turn around and go to the back of the line.

I wish it would go back to Friday but the real truth is it won't. There's only ne and my son now so we go out for dinner then go shopping. I guess that's my way of adapting to the way things are now. We made beautiful memories last year and really, that's a large part of Thanksgiving.

Why do I have a feeling that's Walmart has a surprise for us. That sales ad was much to short, 32 pages, I think.

I'll be going to Macy's in downtown Cincinnati after a dinner cruise. My son is going with me! I'm so excited! The boots and Bare Minerals cosmetics are on my list. My son has already started his list. So far, the down comforter, electric skillet and the deep fryer is on his list. I'm sure he'll come up with more. Did I say I'm excited?

My son got my iPad last year when Walmart started doing this. He actually got the iPad that night. He told me that he only had to stand in one line but he seems to think if a person wants a larger item, such as that TV, they will get a ticket in one line then go to another line to actually pick up the TV.

There is all kinds of Christmas stuff at the Walmart I go to. Christmas Trees, inflatables, ornaments and lights, I didn't see any gift wrap but that doesn't 't mean it wasn't there somewhere.

Thanks for the replies. My husband is in the hospital, soon (I hope) to go to inpatient rehab. I thought a portable DVD player would help him pass the time.

I've never seen a fight but I did have something funny happen. It was before we got a super Walmart and the small store I was in was packed. There was an older lady ahead of me that was badly gassed, if you know what I mean. This guy got behind me and thought I was the one with gas and he followed me, saying over and over again "Poot". I was so glad that my husband was not close by or I would have seen my first Walmart fight.

Mamat, you can get stockings at the Dollar Tree stores. I think the local one here already has them out.

Half Price Books, 10/15

How much were they? I saw the online price at Walmart as being $59. There is no way I would give that much for a Furby.

I was at Walmart yesterday and they had several stacks of 32 inch TV stacked up on a top shelf. I don't know anything about them except they were Vizio and Emerson TVs. I really don't think they are for Black Friday since Walmart is so secrative (sp) about what they are having. I wonder if they are going to have them on sale the first day they open layaway.

My son. He had never been shopping on Black Friday before and decided to take on Walmart. He said women were fighting over towels and some kind of stick vacuum they had on sale. If I had known he was going shopping, I would have got him to go with me and his dad. The Walmart we go to is one of the more calmer ones.

I was at a local Walgreens this morning. No cologne sets were marked down yet. Going to CVS in a few minutes to see what they have.

A sales person in at Sears got really snooty with my husband when he asked for some gizmo he had seen on TV. He was basically told by the salesman that he didn't carry junk in his department. We have a gift card that we got at Kmart for spending $50. Don't know when or even if we will ever use it.

Maybe Walgreens. I have found deals there in the past. They don't advertise the mark downs, you have to go to the store to see what they have.

Now you know why the fat guy is fat. I wouldn't have argued either. Never know who may be packing.

I may have to hop out to Walmart and see if they have any of those Wiiis left. I was out there yesterday morning and asked about them and they said they had none left. My Walmart didn't have much left but I at least got the main thing I was after, the 1600 piece Lego set. Someone must have decided they didn't want it and sat it down. I grabbed it quick, LOL.

Our son was at a Walmart in Northern Ky. last year and he said there was fights over towels at that one too. I think it was the Fort Wright, Ky Walmart. He said he would never shop again on Black Friday.
