Congrats winners!

I buy batteries every year. Lowe's and Home Depot kind of go back and forth on which one has the best deal on them. Socks from Walmart. I used to buy the foam bath rugs at Walmart every year, but they didn't have them last year.

I've been at the zoo all day, so I'm just getting a chance to look. Some of the things I had on my list were cheaper during their July Prime Days, so now I'm wondering whether to go ahead and buy or wait for Black Friday deals. Hmmmm.

I definitely plan on getting a new pair of AirPods this year, and a bottom loading water dispenser. If I see a good enough deal on one, I'd like a nugget ice maker. But I have an ice maker that works great, so I can live without Sonic ice :). I'll also be looking for quality socket and screwdriver sets and Christmas PJs for the family to wear for our ride on the Polar Express.

I use the post office physical address as my shipping address, so I don't see the UPS driver. I do plan to take a cookie tray to the ladies in the post office though.

Who is ready for the GottaDeal exchanges? If you’ve played before, you know the deal. If you have not participated, please consider joining us. We have a lot of fun! All you need to do to get in on the fun is fill out the questionnaire below and PM it to me by November 5. You know there must be rules, so here they are (please read before signing up 1. Secret Santa is just like it sounds - a secret exchange of gifts! There's a MINIMUM of $10 before shipping. If you choose to spend more, please don't be disappointed if your Santa does not. 2. Ornament Exchange is also just like it sounds - an exchange of ornaments! There's a MINIMUM of $5 before shipping. 3. Card Exchange is also as it sounds - an exchange of holiday greeting cards. Unlike the other two, however, you send (a card) to everyone who signs up and you get (a card) from everyone who signs up! If you have a favorite holiday recipe, feel free to include it with the cards you send out. There is no minimum or delivery confirmation but please understand that you send a card to everyone on the list so if 50 people join the exchange you will be spending $33.00 for postage. (The current cost for a first-class stamp as of the time of this posting is 66 cents). 4. Tracking (aka delivery confirmation) is a MUST. Please PM me the tracking number and how it is being shipped (USPS, UPS, etc.) so I can keep track of everything. If you send via USPS Priority it should be included at no charge, but it is always best to check for yourself. 5. Insurance from the USPS is also a MUST. Check with the post office nearest you for the cost. 6. Make sure your item(s) is/are properly packed and with plenty of padding. 7. Everything must be new/unused within reason. Used books, CDs, and DVDs are okay as long as they are in a like new condition that you would be okay with receiving. 8. The last day to sign up is Sunday November 5. I will be out of town that weekend, but should be able to get names out Monday, 11/6.. 9. The last day to ship is Monday, December 11. This is a little later than normal, but barring any unforeseen issues (looking at YOU , 2020) I think we will be fine. There are always a few that can't hit the earlier deadline, so I'm hoping this helps. If for some reason you cannot ship by this date, please let me know ASAP and then ship priority. 10. If you are participating in the Card Exchange please feel free to mail them any time but make sure to keep holiday mail delivery times in mind. 11. You must be a member with some posting activity, to participate. This helps to make sure that only dedicated GottaDealers are participating and we have less of a chance of people flaking out. 12. If you participate in the SS/OE, please post when you receive your package even if you are waiting until later to open. THIS IS SO IMPORTANT. I'm begging NOW. 13. Yeah, I don't make a point to watch every single one like I used to. I mostly like the ones that have a touch of magic in them (like the old man playing Santa really is Santa). Last year there were a couple that were on the funnier side and I liked those. I really enjoyed 3 Wise Men and a Baby (I think was the name).

I get it. Honestly, it would feel weird to me too. "I have Thanksgiving/Christmas wherever my mama has Thanksgiving/Christmas", kind of thing. You absolutely get to make your own traditions though, if it's in your comfort zone. If you feel like you're going to regret it maybe plan to leave on your vacation on the 26th. Then you get the best of both worlds.

Hallmark has released their movie list! I read they saw the strikes coming so they wrapped up their movies early. Who knows how the strikes will affect the other 2?

I have at least 1 thing on my list for everyone, EXCEPT my 2 oldest grands. They are at that age that they're a little too old for toys and too young to want clothes .

Most of my shopping is done online, but I still make it a point to go out on BF even if I don't buy anything :). We haven't started game planning yet, it'll all depend on what the retailers decide to change up this year, LOL.

I have never had the patience to build Lego sets :). BUT - I would LOVE to see y'alls! Please post pics this year.

I haven't been able to log in the last few days, and I wasn't thinking it was time for the BF sub-forums. I'm so excited and so ready for this, this year!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas in July and Prime Day kicked my tail. I'd love to say I spent most of my money on gifts, and I did get a few, but I have to admit most of it was spent on ME. I told myself I wasn't going to spend any money apart from necessities for at least all of August, but then I bought tickets for 8 to take a ride on the Polar Express this year! I'm pretty excited about it! But now I really have to stop spending money .
