It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Christmas in July and Prime Day kicked my tail. I'd love to say I spent most of my money on gifts, and I did get a few, but I have to admit most of it was spent on ME. I told myself I wasn't going to spend any money apart from necessities for at least all of August, but then I bought tickets for 8 to take a ride on the Polar Express this year! I'm pretty excited about it! But now I really have to stop spending money .

The new forum is going to take a minute to get used to, but I like it.

QVC is gearing up for Christmas in July by clearing out last year's Christmas items. Now I'm excited about CIJ, and that really gets me excited for Black Friday!

QVC is having a Christmas blowout clearance sale, to gear up for Christmas in July. So of course, I spent money I shouldn't have on stuff I didn't need. But now I'm ready for CIJ, and then Black Friday, and then real Christmas! I think I'll listen to some Christmas music today .

I don't follow the NFL much, I prefer NCAA. I do watch the Super Bowl though, mostly for the commercials . That said, the Chiefs' long snapper is from my small Oklahoma town, so we get pretty excited when KC is in the big game. Yay Chiefs!

Let us know what you think of the Creami. I want one, just not sure how much I'd actually use it . My son asked me a couple weeks ago what I wanted for Christmas, and I said "Oh, I don't know, get me a Kit Kat!". So I got a king size Kit Kat bar and a bag of mini kit kats . That gift might mean more to me than anything he's ever gotten me, LOL. I also go a canvas with each of my grands' handprints on it. Love it.

Christmas Eve, my kids and grandkids will come to my house and open gifts. I've tried doing a whole dinner thing that night, but no one is ever really interested and then I just have a big mess to clean up . They will probably leave fairly early, and if they do I will head up to my sister's and we will go drive around looking at lights. Christmas Day, my sisters and I will go to our Mom's. It's a low-key hang out and we'll just have sandwiches and enjoy being together. Some of the kids might drop by at some point during the day. The evening after Christmas, we will be back at Mom's for the whole family dinner. I will make chicken & dumplins and rolls, my sister will make fried chicken, and my other sister will make potatoes. We had a heck of a time trying to schedule that dinner this year. Several years ago, we had decided we would always do it the Saturday after Christmas. This year my nephew's wife's family is renting a cabin for the weekend of New Years, so they can't be there. The older Mom gets, the more important it is to us that every one of her kids and grandkids are there for Christmas, but with the grandkids grown with families of their own, as well as jobs and other responsibilities, that's not always easy. I don't usually do much on New Year's Eve. Sit back in my recliner with a book and a cup of cocoa and flip through the celebrations on the TV .

Every Secret Santa gift has been received! Thank you all SO much for the notifications. We had 2 ornament exchange packages walk away from their recipient after delivery, but those have been made right and replacements should be delivered today or tomorrow. All in all, it's been a successful Secret Santa year thanks to all of you.
