I went to 3 different places this morning and couldn’t even find a paper, let alone ads

OK, It didn't give me the option of checking availability at other stores, but I went down the list and when I got to a store about 30 minutes away, I could add it. **SO, I couldn't order it from my closest Walmart, or any of the 3 super centers in the next town on the other side. Not that big a deal because I will be in Moore Saturday anyway and I thought I'd just pick it up. I just noticed it is going to be delivered to my house! Why on Earth did it matter what store I had entered, if they are going to deliver it???

Well, I call no fair! LOL Maybe it's their way of telling me I've spent too much already and I didn't really need this "extra" gift for the grands

Yes, I think Walmart holds items until the sale starts. I know in the last sale, there were a few things I looked at that showed out of stock until the sale began. Good luck!

I've placed a few orders that said they were Black Friday deals, lol. I am still hoping the Kindle Paperwhite goes on sale, but I'm losing that hope. I bought one during July Prime for my son for Christmas, but then my own died so I took that one thinking I'd buy another one BF. Their October Prime Day price wasn't as low so I skipped it. Now I'm kicking myself for that decision.

I have a few things on my list. a couple toys. A video game. Socks. LOL I am considering that combo game table for the grand kids. I think they'll get some use out of that, if I'm being told the truth about the cleanliness of their garage .

I took my ornaments to the post office this morning, so I feel slightly back on track

I just checked the battery prices at Lowe's, and the 60 pack is currently $17.98. It says that price is good until 11/23, so HOPEFULLY my worry is unfounded and there will be a BF ad.

One year, early on in our BF shopping experience, my sister and I headed to KayBee Toys at the Mall in the next town over from where we lived. We get to the mall and there are NO cars in the parking lot. We're thinking this is actually great because we'll be able to get what we want because we are there SO early. As it got closer and closer to the time for the sale to start, there's still no one showing up to the mall. This was before everyone had a cell phone, but I happened to work for Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems so I had one as an employee perk (got a whole 30 minutes a month! LOL), so we called information to get the number to the store to make sure we had the sale times correct. Turns out there was not even a KayBee Toys AT that mall. So we booked it from Norman to OKC, but of course by the time we go there the line was so long there was no chance of getting in. Toys R Us was right across the street from the Mall, so we headed over there to wait for them to open their doors. I can't remember what we were after that year, but the experience is one we aren't likely to forget.

I was lucky enough that my grandson's desired games were both in Walmart and/or Target's ad this year. One wants Luigi's Mansion, and it's $20 off at both stores. The other wants 5 Nights at Freddy's (he's a little ghoulish, LOL) and it is in the WM ad for just $20.

My son, who definitely does NOT pay attention to BF ads normally, looked through the Academy ad last night. He looked at me and said "these are Black Friday deals?!? These aren't good deals at all!" So, while I said it's all relative, and thought I just didn't need anything on sale, perhaps I have been corrected.

Lowe's is really pushing the "Black Friday should be more than one day" narrative in their commercials, so I'm wondering if they will have a BF ad this year. I'm waiting on it too though, so I sure hope so.

I went ahead and went to the store. They adjusted the price. The cashier was very sweet but the manager she asked about it acted like it ticked her off. She said "it's ringing up regular 32.99". But online and the shelf tag say 20.99. She closed her eyes and said "Just do it". I tried to say I wasn't trying to be argumentative and she certainly didn't have to adjust the price, I was buying it regardless, but she totally ignored me and walked away. So I didn't say a word when the sweet cashier took the 40% off the sale price instead of the regular price (which was just a difference of pennies, but still).

The Monster High Ghoulmobile says 40% off in the ad. The reg price is $20.99 and the sale price is 19.79. Have I forgotten how to math? **I wonder if it's actually 40% off in store, and only 6% off online. Hmmm. Maybe I'll get dressed and go to Target. $8 is worth the trip to me.

Definitely doing better than I am. I usually try to have my ornament shipped out before Thanksgiving, since most folk decorate that weekend. But I haven't even gotten started yet.
