I just keep hoping the re-freezes are killing the fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes!

Admittedly, I know nothing about snow blowers. We don't have much use for them in Central Oklahoma . But my first thought was "I think I remember seeing a few in the BF ads, but I don't have time to go do a search right now." Of course, I couldn't stand it, so I went and looked. These are probably nowhere near the ones you've looked at, in terms of quality, but this is what I found: Lowes, $299 (currently $369) - https://www.lowes.com/pd/Briggs-Stratton-1022-22-in-Single-stage-Gas-Snow-Blower/1000275333 Farm and Fleet, $299 (currently on clearance for $258.88) - https://www.farmandfleet.com/products/1053865-troy-bilt-21-single-stage-snow-thrower.html Sears, $599.99 (currently $858.59) - http://www.sears.com/craftsman-quiet-208cc-dual-stage-snow-thrower/p-07188694000P?plpSellerId=Sears&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1 Tractor Supply - $499.99 (currently $599.99) - https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/huskee-24-in-2-stage-snow-thrower?cm_vc=-10005

They are talking about it here in OK too. But every other news story about it says it the other way (either permanently go to Daylight Saving Time, or permanently get rid of Daylight Saving Time) so I'm not sure what the plan really is. I wish the whole country would make the change if it's going to change. I don't want to have to remember which states are on what to figure out time differences.

I would love to go. It's about 15 hours North of me. My sisters and I are planning a road trip, destination as yet determined, but for some reason they nixed the idea of driving that far. LOL

A couple years ago, there was a thread about a big Christmas store somewhere up North (or, at least, North of me). I can't for the life of me remember the name of the store or even what city/state it was in. Can you help? Never mind - I found it . Bronner's in Frankenmuth, MI

I'm so sorry to hear this. Bless his little heart. Hugs to you Mama. I know how scary it can be.

Sad? I think it's awesome!

Am I the only one that can't stand for any of the forum headings to be bold? If I don't actually read every post, I have to go click "mark as read" on every forum, even the Black Friday Archives (I assume people go in to the archives and "like" old posts, and that's why they're bold?). Ya, I'm sure it's probably just me. LOL

This makes me sad. Both stores anywhere close to me are on the list. One of the 2 is very old and probably needed torn down years ago. It's also next door to a mall that has completely shut its doors. But the other one is a really nice store, in a generally busy shopping strip.

BRAG TIME! So what did you give or get that was a BIG Hit?

This might be a little long, but the backstory makes the story . My kids bought a house in March, and there is cedar trim throughout. The main bathroom doesn't have a mirror (weird, right?). So I've known since March that I wanted to get them a cedar framed mirror for Christmas. Well, let me tell you, every one I could find cost anywhere from $300 - $700. That was not going to happen, so I gave up. A few weeks ago, a gentleman here in my small town put some cedar benches out on the sidewalk and he only had $75 on them. I wondered what he would charge me to frame a mirror, but I didn't have time to stop. SO, fast forward to the weekend before Christmas. I'm completely done and ready, when I see the man putting the benches out again. I thought, what the heck? I'll stop and ask. I walked in to his little shop and started to ask about a mirror, when I turned around and there it was! $35!! I think I scared the poor man when I screamed "There it is!" LOL. -- It was one of the first things the kids opened, and my DIL got so excited she was ready to go home right then and put the mirror up! That was the best . http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k499/ts1852/Photo%20Dec%2016%2010%2025%2015%20AM.jpg- 12 replies

I don't think I have any money left for the clearance deals. LOL

I am so glad he was able to get it back from the other box holder!

I'm feeling awful that someone didn't get their gift because it was delivered to the wrong PO Box. If she'd had the tracking # a week ago, I could have still made sure she got something by Christmas. Do y'all think it would be a good idea to pass the tracking #s along to the recipients as they come in?
-
Oh, no. You've had a time of it, haven't you?
-
oh no! I did have an ebay transaction cancelled this year, same email. Luckily, it was a couple weeks ago so I had time to find it elsewhere. Hopefully, you can find your item in stock somewhere close. Good luck!
-
Housekeeping items: According to tracking #s, we have the last one out for delivery today. We do have 1 that was apparently lost in the mail . She has the tracking # and will be going to her post office today. Hopefully they get it resolved, but if they don't we'll make it right for her. There are a couple ornament recipients that have not posted they received, but the tracking #s show they were delivered. I hope they got them.

So where is Everyone on their Buying, Shipments, Wrapping and Baking?
Bopeep replied to magickallight's topic in 2017
Gosh, BudgetsRSexy and BlueBear, that's a lot to handle at the holidays. Sending positive thoughts your way! I am done, done, done. I've spent the last 2 weeks candy making and cookie baking, and we all got together at Mom's this weekend to decorate the cookies. I picked up one last gift this weekend, but it was a spur of the moment thing as I was already "done", LOL, so I still have to wrap that. The rest of this week will be catching up on Hallmark Christmas movies that have stacked up on the DVR .
