  1. Not really a TV question, but I didn't want to start a new thread and figured this was as good a place as any... What do you know about projectors? My son wants one to set up outdoor movies for his kids. I don't want to spend a lot of money, because I know my son and he will never do it. LOL. There are a few in the ads, but when I try to find them online to research them, I'm coming up empty. In your opinions, are they worth it at all? What should I be looking for?
  2. You're right, the watermark is annoying. Assuming this is the ad for Thursday in the rest of the country, I'll be stopping in on my way out of town for iTunes gift cards and Dr. Pepper. I might stop at 4 or 5 more stores for more Dr. Pepper. LOL
  3. You still have a Gordman's? I thought they all closed.
  4. Thursday afternoon we get around the table at my mom's and we spread out the paper ads, even though we've seen them all and we know what we want. We do our Thursday shopping, go home and go to bed, then get up early and do Friday shopping. When we are finished shopping, we go get my mom and everyone else not shopping with us and we go eat breakfast at Denny's. That hasn't changed in all these years, even when the store opening times and just about everything else has. Once a year I get that Grand Slam breakfast, and I eat every bite. :hungry:LOL
  5. I keep most stuff at my office as long as I can. Stuff that does get brought home is in a box in the closet. I keep track of everything in an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is password protected, and I keep it in my Dropbox so I have access to it everywhere. I keep different pages for what I have, and what the lists would look like if I had everything I plan to get. That way I keep it all as even as I can. The cells are color coded based on what's ordered and what's received. There's a separate sheet just for what I plan to buy on Black Friday, with all the stores that have each item I want so I can see at a glance who has the best deal and what my options are if I miss my first choice. I have my lists back to 2003. It's amazing (and a little nauseating) the difference in my budget from then to now. LOL
  6. Academy, Lowe's, and Atwoods (we won't get that one on here, unfortunately)

    Window Wonderland

The Window Wonderland is in the Home Depot ad for $29.98
  8. what am I doing wrong that I can't open, nor save, this link? **never mind. it opened. It just took 5 tries, and 5 minutes each time, for some reason.
  9. I just plugged my first bulb in and got the hub set up. Now, I'm sitting on my bedroom floor, telling Amazon to turn the light on and off, and dim and brighten it. Then giggling like a schoolgirl. LOL I guess it turns it on at whatever brightness you have it set up at in the app. But then you can dim and brighten. Telling her to "turn the bedroom light on bright" confuses her and she turns off.
  10. I'm impressed with their shipping. I usually opt to pick up in store, but I wasn't in the mood and wasn't in a hurry. I ordered the Philips Hue starter kit yesterday, and received it today. Can't beat that.
  11. Just remember, you can always cook a little in a bigger pot, but you can't cook a lot in a littler pot.
  12. https://www.amazon.com/William-Mark-Feisty-Pets-Adorable/dp/B01LWUJC2T/ref=gbps_img_s-3_af4e_c3d7b9cd?smid=AKFT4PQP7TOX5&pf_rd_p=f113943e-1d84-4883-b871-13290264af4e&pf_rd_s=slot-3&pf_rd_t=701&pf_rd_i=gb_main&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=FVJC26WWCZFC70GW9VX0 I bought some of these Feisty Pets for my grandchildren a few weeks ago and I gave $30 a piece for them. This is a lightning deal for the next 5 hours (currently 3:37 cst), at $14.95. Says the regular price is $22.28, so maybe I just bought the wrong ones, lol. These are super cute and the kids get a lot of laughs out of them. http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k499/ts1852/51bxNC5EWL._SL1118_.jpg
  13. Well, having seen Walmart's ad, my vote just might be for Target first this year. The things I might want from Walmart aren't at all likely to sell out.
  14. I have taken cold medicine, and I really should go to bed. But every time I start that way, I think "but it might be out in just *45*,*30*,*20*,*10* minutes". So, here I am, back on the computer. LOL
  15. That's awesome, bethed! Merry Early Christmas . I added one to the cards list. So if you are participating in that exchange, please check your messages.

    Holiday Songs

Yes, I love their version. I would have loved to see that.

    Holiday Songs

I agree. If it's a song everyone knows, then everyone wants to sing along. Can't do that if you made it unrecognizable.
  18. I can add you to the cards, if you want. Also, I will PM you about Secret Santa if you want in I can get you in .
  19. Right? But, I would like to be able to say, from my comfortable bed, turn them on "dim". Then I can wake up slowly instead of blasted with bright white light. LOL
  20. Regarding the Philips Hue bulbs - They can be controlled using Alexa, but is that just on and off? Or could I say "Alexa, turn the lights on dim" Or "Turn the lights on full" or something like that?
  21. I'm looking at the games, and I know they don't have every game listed that they'll have on sale. My question is, if they have a game on one format, is it probably the same price on another format? Specifically, I need Injustice 2 for the PS4. They show it in the ad for $25 on Xbox One. Odds of it being $25 on the PS4 as well?
  22. Another record player. It's interesting how many of those I've seen pop up lately.
  23. I received another shipping confirmation already! totallyBF - I pm'd you.
  24. It's funny how when scrolling through forums, or social media, we glance at the user's picture instead of reading the name. I saw this post and thought "I didn't say that, where did that come from?", because the pictures are the same. LOL
