  1. Well, I can't help you with the shopping with Mama, but I can try to set your mind at ease about the boy getting hurt. Those little 6 volt ride ons don't go very fast. As long as he has room to ride, he'll be fine .
  2. December 9th.
  3. I'm sorry, we would really need you to have more history on the site. But please stick around and join the conversations, and we would love to have you join next year.
  4. Some of it just looks like Target, while other parts look very Mall anchor store-y.
  5. Have you checked out the charts StationChief does? It might be an easier way to see what you're looking for. http://blackfridaycharts.com/
  6. And never forget to remove any evidence it's being re-gifted. I once received a gift with an old to/from sticker on the bottom. It wasn't a re-gift though, it was actually something my mom had picked up at a garage sale.
  7. I have one more - It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
  8. Nothing comes up in search for pool, pool table, or billiard. Are you sure it was a pool table you saw?
  9. I'm pretty sure it's an autocorrect, but I can't for the life of me figure out what "dads" was supposed to be. Or, maybe it's not an autocorrect and it's a thing, and I'm just old. LOL
  10. The first year Walmart had the 3 "events", but you had to be in line before event 2 in order to get in on the sale for event 3 (God, what a PITA that was!), I remember getting a book from the shelf to read while in line. My sister was in a different line, and everyone was too cranky to make small talk. I hated that year. LOL
  11. Thanks so much! And, congrats to all the other winners!
  12. As for caffeine, we usually start our trek at Sonic. There are a couple 24 hour Sonics that are out of the way but we go around that way to stop there. In line, we have each other, and we always end up chatting with those around us. Not as much as we used to, when we stood outside in the cold for hours. We always left those days feeling like we had new friends.
  13. I'll be there, but I may be tuned in with just 1 eye and half an ear. LOL. OU plays at 7:00 tonight.
  14. You can see Home Depot here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/topic/278652-home-depot-pdf/
  15. A question has been asked about homemade gifts. I read the question about homemade gifts on the list to be about cookies and candies, stuff like that. But do you think it also applies to things like ceramics, or woodworkings? Tapestries, pottery, crafty creative things? If you said NO on the homemade gifts question, would you still be open to things like that? Just reaching out for opinions. FWIW, my opinion is I would LOVE to get something handmade.
  16. Not really a TV question, but I didn't want to start a new thread and figured this was as good a place as any... What do you know about projectors? My son wants one to set up outdoor movies for his kids. I don't want to spend a lot of money, because I know my son and he will never do it. LOL. There are a few in the ads, but when I try to find them online to research them, I'm coming up empty. In your opinions, are they worth it at all? What should I be looking for?
  17. You're right, the watermark is annoying. Assuming this is the ad for Thursday in the rest of the country, I'll be stopping in on my way out of town for iTunes gift cards and Dr. Pepper. I might stop at 4 or 5 more stores for more Dr. Pepper. LOL
  18. You still have a Gordman's? I thought they all closed.
  19. Thursday afternoon we get around the table at my mom's and we spread out the paper ads, even though we've seen them all and we know what we want. We do our Thursday shopping, go home and go to bed, then get up early and do Friday shopping. When we are finished shopping, we go get my mom and everyone else not shopping with us and we go eat breakfast at Denny's. That hasn't changed in all these years, even when the store opening times and just about everything else has. Once a year I get that Grand Slam breakfast, and I eat every bite. :hungry:LOL
  20. I keep most stuff at my office as long as I can. Stuff that does get brought home is in a box in the closet. I keep track of everything in an Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is password protected, and I keep it in my Dropbox so I have access to it everywhere. I keep different pages for what I have, and what the lists would look like if I had everything I plan to get. That way I keep it all as even as I can. The cells are color coded based on what's ordered and what's received. There's a separate sheet just for what I plan to buy on Black Friday, with all the stores that have each item I want so I can see at a glance who has the best deal and what my options are if I miss my first choice. I have my lists back to 2003. It's amazing (and a little nauseating) the difference in my budget from then to now. LOL
  21. Academy, Lowe's, and Atwoods (we won't get that one on here, unfortunately)

    Window Wonderland

The Window Wonderland is in the Home Depot ad for $29.98
  23. what am I doing wrong that I can't open, nor save, this link? **never mind. it opened. It just took 5 tries, and 5 minutes each time, for some reason.
  24. I just plugged my first bulb in and got the hub set up. Now, I'm sitting on my bedroom floor, telling Amazon to turn the light on and off, and dim and brighten it. Then giggling like a schoolgirl. LOL I guess it turns it on at whatever brightness you have it set up at in the app. But then you can dim and brighten. Telling her to "turn the bedroom light on bright" confuses her and she turns off.
  25. I'm impressed with their shipping. I usually opt to pick up in store, but I wasn't in the mood and wasn't in a hurry. I ordered the Philips Hue starter kit yesterday, and received it today. Can't beat that.
